I would say that it would be possible to learn others, but again, there would be requirements that had to be met, including convincing one of the NPCs that knows enough about that tree to train you.

Oh yeah, I forgot I was running the Alchemists....Ho boy, this is gonna be fun! Also, I don't care what Arakawa has done, Kimblee is still alive dammit.

And for all the female characters, expect tiny miniskirts to be mandatory :D

I am now extremely tempted to do so... I may have to make a female character just because of that. :p

(Also, If I had a better idea of how to play as ed, I would make a female version of him)

Hmm, I dunno about direct rips of already existing FMA characters, hell, he may even pop up at some point :p

Also, once character creation is open and you've made your characters I'll be assigning you all State Alchemist titles.

Yeah I'll finish them now, though when they're posted all depends on whether my bitch of a mother decides to screw me out of the internet. Apparently because I don't want to work Saturdays she's decided that I shouldn't have the internet all weekend instead giving me it from 5-9pm. I've tried reasoning with her so here's hoping she's had a change of heart.

Here's the alchemy skill tree table. The skills that you can start off in are; Basic Transmutation, Flame, Electricity, Healing Arts, Water Manipulation and Plant Manipulation.

Well the descriptions for most of the starting tree's have been posted by Wolf, and I'll be posting the starting electricity skill up shortly. To be honest you dont really need the advanced skills posted up yet, though they're pretty much self explanatory by just their names. I'll type them up and post them either later today or later on during the week.

Whose artistic skill has been passed down their family for generations? :D

Basically it allows the Alchemist to use Ranged Attack I without having to shoot the spikes along the ground, wall etc... The Alchemist uses blocks of whatever and punches them towards their target and during the process it turns into spikes. It can also be used to create busts and statues to fire at their target though thats more cosmetic than anything as it would do the same amount of damage as a spike of its size.

Ah, right. Armstrong's skill... BTW, I assume that the final combo skill for Fire/Regular Alchemy, the bomb skill, has to be taught by Kimblee himself?

Kinda, sorta, in a round about way.

EDIT: To include the first skill of the electricity tree.

Spark
Utilising a new form of glove, the alchemist clicks his or her fingers to create a spark and using alchemy to increase its power can manipulate it into a variety of electricity-based skills though normal transmutation circles can be used as well. Spark allows the alchemist to short circuit most basic mechanical devices, including simple electronic locks.

And here's an example character to show how the Starting Skill and Free Point fields work...

Character Name: James Tarent

Physical Description: Average height and build, short dark brown hair and brown eyes.

Skill Tree 1: Transmutation
Skill Tree 2: Electricity

Starting Skill: Basic Transmutation
Starting Skill: Spark
Free Point: Basic Transmutation
Free Point: Spark

Equipment: Uniform, gloves with spark circle, writing instruments, holder with blank cards.

Background: Reports to be an orphan, with no siblings. Shows preference to sketching circles over having pre-made ones, with the exception of his gloves. Has a tendency to resort to the tactic of finding/making rocks and throwing them when forced to fight.

Background: An orphan from the Ishbalan war, Max turned to alchemy in order to survive. As word spread to Central about Maxwell the Fuhrer had ordered people to keep an eye on him for unknown reasons (he was going to be a candidate as a sacrifice). Suspicious of the Fuhrers intentions Mustang decided to take him under his wing, as a kind of secret project. Incorporating both Mustang's flame arts and Xing's healing art's Maxwell hopes to create a new kind of alchemy.
