Based on observable evidence the guy comes off as a complete xenophobe, hating pirates is fine but when you are going to constantly concern yourself with the actions of an audience that you clearly aren't even trying to reach to begin with (ie, refusal to provide a legitimate release on DLsite English for example) on top of putting arbitrary puzzles specifically designed to fuck over non-Japanese speakers then that's where my sympathy ends.

Basically his issue doesn't seem to solely be with piracy but also that he doesn't want anyone outside of Japan playing the game at all, most people would rather resort to piracy than just deal with that ultimatum.

the dmm copy isn't restricted to just japan

the game will be pirated, translated, modded, etc by foreigners and the developer just will be butthurt about that. The only reason ulmf is the main focus is becouse is the first thing it show up when you google ROBF.

fun stuff the game is totally anti-foreigner so the developer will get a extremely minimal cash from them anyway so all the "foreigner pirate hate" its kinda silly and amusing.

Well ROBFS4U has been half translated and the quiz wasn't removed. Will be harder in the next game.

Yeah but i remember when R**F was released and the developer started raging about ******sharing also all the anti-foreigner stuff was already in game.

So its not a ulmf thingie, the developer will attack anyone foreigner just ulmf got the bad luck the be more popular in the motor searching webs.

I guess its time to start butchering to avoid show up in google and others (but its already too late )

Well, his not the only creator being butthurt about their product its being pirated but I wouldn't synopsizes this guys at all.

Guys like this should think about "Why" their game is pirated to begin with, it has been a problem since 2006 but not even single Japanese came up with solution and fact, instead. They blame on us, also they say they could not open the market for overseas because they scare of being sued for child porn or religious belief or whatever.

I'm sick of hearing same bitch thing over and over.

After reading his blog, I went to Nyaa to and download the thing so I could look who's peeing the damn thing, then guess what?

Also, I actually purchased his game and I'm honestly admire his work, but I'm not going support his little crusade he having right now.

Of course there were Japanese leeches, there always are. The greatest problem with foreign piracy is that the Japanese happily download from us so our sharing indirectly hurts the maker's main market.

If the maker of ROBF realizes that is another question, but that is the truth.

I wonder how much Dlsite and other websites take as a percentage for each sale. I feel like if these games were much cheaper there would be a lot less pirating going around. It just doesn't feel that the quality equals the price here.

like i said, foreigner are really the minimal cash loss for pirating, like who will buy a game in jap (first wall), who need a special account for jap dlsite (second wall) also with a anti-foreigner system

I notice we tend to have three categories of Japanese H-game devs.

There are those like Sour Jelly who welcome and cooperate with foreign interest in their games.

There are those who are neutral or even disproving but may warm up slightly over time if the support/money from overseas is positive.

And then there are those who, for an odd mix of xenophobia and sensitivity over us foreigners bumbling over sensitive cultural taboo like link-sharing, get inconceivably furious. Obsessively furious like Frankie Muns and scorpions furious. [learned about Frankie Mun from a Cracked.com article]

I kind of find this thing amusing, but really, he can do away with all the anti foreigner thing, and just put in content that would make it illegal in all countries, i mean look at this one here, he put in loli so we have to go by pms to get ahold of it, that is probably far more effective than puzzles in preventing piracy lol, than again as the MPAA has been learning, where there's a will there is a way, you can never prevent something, only slow it down.

Said that for the next update (tomorrow) he would launch the demo, about 30 minutes and it would be similar to the S4U demo. the 5 % its about the new erotic scene that he is working in parallel
