Re: AWMBI - Discussion
Why do you guys always have to nitpick and question every little thing?
It's like if you went outside right now, looked up, and saw dead pixels in the sky. You'd ask questions, wouldn't you? If something doesn't seem right, we have to ask, that's how it works. Most of the time, it really isn't a big deal, but there are some things that still don't sit right with me, even if just a little.
-the whole hell-in-a-handbasket-overnight thing. I get that it was fast, but everyone immediately captured or fighting to the inn within a few hours seems a bit of a stretch.
-how fast the inn and prison were set up. Seeing as how everyone who has arrived at the inn felt the need to sleep, I'm thinking all this happened before, say, midnight. Let's say the invasion started at sundown, maybe eight-o-clock. In the time between then and the first PC to arrive, Amy had the Inn fortified, staffed, organized, and supplied, and I assume the prison started up about as fast. There is plenty of good reasons I can think of for this, it just hasn't been explained yet.
-the prison's looting. We have been going out on looting runs since the morning of day one, and every single place we've gone has been looted before we got there (right down to the booze, most of the molotov-guality stuff was taken). It has been told us that practically everyone either winded up at the inn or prison that first night, and all the rest were killed (males) or captured (females). There have been a few lone survivors, but every one has pretty much hunkered down and not done any looting. That means that a combination of the prison people and the Goddess' chosen few picked the place dry in about eight-twelve hours. Except that the prison stated that they had already spent massive time/womanpower to free two or three hives of women, and dragged them all to safety, so where'd they find the time? This one is my biggest 'wtf?', but I at least see the OOC reasons for it
-some of the up-there NPCs, specifically the inspired. Eceryone starts with a single whatchamacallit, and gets more at significant junctures, but all the inspired NPCs seem to have multiple already, despite the fact that most seem not to have left a haven since this all happened. Once again, I can see multiple reasons why, but it hasn't been explained. I'm pretty sure it ties into the reasons the inn/prison was set up so fast, however.
Now, just for the record,
this is not a list of complaints. This is a list of unanswered questions the players, and probably some of the characters, have. I think a couple may be plot points that will be uncovered at a later time, and I'm sure that other people have additional ones that I didn't think of.
