Re: Battle & Breeding

The courtyard opposite the ruined gate was clearly once pleasant, if simple. A small well served as the centerpiece, while benches once formed small circles for lessons or relaxation. The courtyard clearly suffered the brunt of the attack; cobbles were broken loose around muddy craters, benches were overturned and splintered, and the greenish corpses of orcs and goblins lay putrefying and molding on the damp stone.

Seven goblins picked through the remains for salvage, prodding the corpses with small, crude spears. By their emaciated state and lack of identifying colors, they were probably outcasts; vagabonds and scavengers. They probably weren't much good in a fight, but they did have a number advantage. On the other hand, they would probably be willing to trade anything they found for food, or pussy, and they were almost certainly cowards.

They clearly weren't expecting interruptions, and would be simple to surprise if the party wanted. Alternatively, they could try to parley with them, or to scare them off with some ploy.

-------------------------------

Something was wrong with the tracks; Faeyna had experience with these things. Even washed away by a week of rain, no orc left giant ruts in the earth as they moved, like some giant serpent. And the gate was blown apart by lightning, though not a spell... The orcs had some other creature with them, and not one of their usual warbeasts. That suggested a strangely talented chieftain, or allies...

"Gobbi, ya say, Ungi?" the dwarf said, rubbing her butt after failing to climb the wall. "Cowards, the lot of em. Let's look around, maybe check out that building oh-ver there. Untouched despite all this, might be a damned wizard's hut for all we know! We might be able to beat an answer out of them!"

"Whatever happened here, it wasn't just greenskins. Some sort of serpent creature came with them. Lamia maybe? They're trouble enough in the swamps. Whatever is going on, we're not dealing with your typical raider party. And they have some sort of big muscle behind them.," grimaces Faeyna as she inspects the ground.

Hearing about the goblins up ahead, she shrugged a bit. "I still say we check, make sure there isn't anything outside they might call on. After that figure trading them some food might be worth it. They probably know something of worth, even if we need to decipher it after."

Karaz shrugged, glancing over at the odd structure to the side, before deciding that the lack of attention on it was some kind of play on the mind. Maybe she was hungover. "Aye." she replied simply.

"I agree with our scaly friend." Alia concurred. "While I am not picking up any magic at the moment, it's clear that the gate was blasted apart violently." She pointed at the scorch marks. "Judging by that and the debris pattern, they've used a powerful lightning bolt. No orc can generate something like that on his own, not without magical aid. And I sense no traces of arcane energy left over." The mage frowned. "Something is not right here. I suspect the goblins might be the least of our worries. I say we check again and make sure there's nothing we've missed at first glance. I'd hate to be ambushed because we overlooked a detail of some kind."

"Or we just strangle answers out of the grobbi." Karaz shrugged. "Or they might be peaceful enough to talk once their balls be empty, ungi. Up to you though, I ain't much more for anything over here than picking me nose while ya stare at the ground, so lemme know when we come time to take a hands-on approach, my favorite~" she chuckled, eager and hopeful that the other three will find nothing so that the dwarf can apply her direct (and violent) approach.

Re: Battle & Breeding

(Could everyone repost their post-scouting votes really quick; both what you want to do, and how you want to deal with the goblins when you do go in.)

[edit: oh and cross_grave's room action]

Re: Battle & Breeding

(Cross' action was find magic. His roll was 14 so he failed.)

Karaz would vote to check out the oddity that is the building off to the side.

If going to meet the goblins, Karaz would prefer to intimidate them with force into talking, and promising a blowjob and handsies if they chose to give them juicy information instead of resisting. If the goblins weren't compliant she plans to just murder them.

Re: Battle & Breeding

(That's 14 with skill/attribute bonus added.)

Alia wants to scout the area more thoroughly in hopes of finding hidden magic because she doesn't believe the lightning to be natural. When dealing with goblins, intimidate them into submission. She's not going to object to others having extra ideas, but likely won't join Karaz unless there's no other way of getting info out of goblins. Should they prove hostile, that's what the scythe is for.

Re: Battle & Breeding

If Karaz is alone with the idea of using sex to get the goblins to comply, she can't exactly satisfy many at once without one of them getting the idea to plug her pussy. So she'd just thrash them if intimidation didn't work.

Re: Battle & Breeding

"I'd rather not let those little squirts be off to wanr their friends or come up behind us if we start makin noise 'round the perimeter," Arkeia added conversationally, "we know where they're at, and they don't exactly look to be in the best o' shape. If we can scare 'em out, we can take 'em out, make sure they don't go botherin anyone else and maybe catch a few to, ahhh, question!" She drew a map in the dirt, pointing out obstacles and where the individual goblins had been when last she'd seen them. "They were all kinda wanderin' about lootin, but none of 'em was going quick so if we move fast they'll still be where we can predict 'em. I think I can get them to rush out toward here instead of deeper in. Once they're dealt with, we can take a look around at out leisure, maybe at that lil shack or around the walls!"

(Vote to eliminate goblins now. Use my last roll to make it a trap to force the goblins to run out into a prepared position instead of deeper into the ruins. Then we can intimidate them into surrender or kill them as the situation allows.)

Re: Battle & Breeding

When the pirate woman spoke up, she couldn't say she didn't like her style. "So ya say, Skazungi. I suppose ah can support the notion of striking fear into the grobbi." Karaz replied.

(Karaz's vote allies with Arkeia, chase the goblins into a trap.)

Re: Battle & Breeding

The plan was set: Arkeia called out in her most alluring voice, "Sisters? Are you still there? I'm all alone, wet, and cold, and desperately need a bed, please!"

The women were all hidden in the trees and undergrowth as the seven goblins charged from the gates, hoping to seize their feminine prize that was suddenly nowhere to be found. Confusion gripped them a moment, and then terror as the girls made themselves known!

---Goblins (x7): 6 HP; AC 14; Toughness 9; Cleverness 12; Will 8

[The goblins are all bunched up, and are close enough to be targeted by the same AoEs or multi-attacks. Due to surprise, all characters get to act twice.]

Combat:
---Roll your attack roll and damage if you hit, and include the results of your strike in your description, including killing them/knocking them out if they hit 0 HP.
---Remember to describe your positioning and action in detail! It'll determine how I make the monsters act. eg. if Karaz gets between them and Alia, they won't be able to charge Alia; Arkeia charging into the middle of them will split them into two groups, ect.
---For non-basic attacks, roll against AC for effects that the enemy would have to dodge (including most damage effects), Toughness for effects that they would resist with strength or constitution, Cleverness for things that disorient, trick, or control them (including sneak attacks!), or Will for things that frighten, provoke, or transform them. You can use whichever feels most appropriate, so long as you describe it that way in your actions.

[For cross_grave: Magic Missile is an autohit, much like DnD. You just do the damage and don't need to roll for it.]

Re: Battle & Breeding

Karaz does indeed stand between them and Alia, hopefully attracting any attention that would be directed at her while going in swinging!

Karaz swings:

Damage = (such overkill)

Karaz completely cleaves the first goblin in two that comes to her axe. "YA THINK YER HARD ENOUGH, GROBBI!?"

Re: Battle & Breeding

Her distraction worked, but Arkeia stumbled out slightly from her position just by the gate as she made to capitalize on it. Where the dwarf had swung and slaughtered a goblin with ease, she had to scramble to regain her balance over a collapsing pile of stones, spitting curses all the while and jabbing her rapier haphazardly towards one goblin and slashing with her shortsword held in a reverse grip in the other. Her wild flailing was easily avoided, and that put her in something of a compromised position in the back separated from the rest of the group, and between the goblins and escape from the dwarf and the rest of the party.

say I miss since no flat footed in this version of DnD.

Re: Battle & Breeding

Faeyna found herself out voted, and so violence was the way forwards. She hoped the combat didn't attract anything that might be lurking around nearby.

With the goblins caught off guard, she hurried to move up with the others, taking a swipe at one of the goblins. Unfortunately she accidentally misstepped into one of the large snake grooves in the ground, catching her foot and causing her to stumble, her swipe falling quite short.

She was to the side of the fight, the goblins partially boxed in hopefully. Though such a method had it's perils to say the least.

Re: Battle & Breeding

With the dwarf standing between her and the goblins, Alia quickly considered her options. She could go into melee, using her magic to protect herself somewhat and go in swinging with her scythe. There were enough people in melee, though, and it'd get confusing enough without her anyway. The lack of effective attacks on part of her allies - except for the dwarf,, who just splattered her goblin to pieces - worried her a little. Well, she did have something to even the odds a bit. Focusing, the mage thrust one hand forward, finger pointing at one of the goblins. "Pfeil!" She called out, sending a bolt of arcane force through it, followed up by another to finish it off.

(6 damage total, goblin is ded. That's my two actions.)

Re: Battle & Breeding

The goblins scattered and shrieked as poor Warty was cleaved apart by an angry dwarf woman. Everyone knew that goblins lusted after and feared dwarf women more than nearly anything else, and one of the surviving goblins fumbled with his belt as he retreated, hurling a small, slimy sack at Karaz, which burst over her chest and arms, coating her in ropes of powerful yellowish adhesive! Tanglesap, the product of the predatory tree of the same name, which quickly became a tangled net on exposure to air. The suddenly tightening substance pinned her arm to her side as the fibrous strands pressed her armor uncomfortably and dug into her exposed flesh.

A second goblin leapt onto the entangled dwarf, small cock already engorged with excitement. He lustily wrestled with her, trying to seize a glimpse of dwarven tits, but succeeded at little more than tiring Karaz slightly.

: 1d20+5 15 1d6+1 2

The two goblins Arkeia's bungled strikes had failed to find dodged away from her, launching an equally bungled counterattack of their own!

: 1d20+3 9 1d6+1 3 1d20+3 12 1d6+1 2

The final surviving goblin spun behind Faeyna as her claw swipe failed to gain purchase, picking up a heavy stone as he crouched behind her, and quickly tackled her from behind, clinging to her back, and bringing the stone down on her head in an attempt to stun her!

: 1d20+3 21 1d6+1 4

(Karaz 23/25 HP; Entangled - DC 13 Athletics+DEX check to escape)
(Faeyna 22/26 HP)
(Arkeia 15/15 HP)
(Alia 19/20 HP - 1 from magic fatigue)

[Two goblins are engaging Arkeia, a third is on top of Karaz, a fourth on Faeyna's back, and the last one skulking around alone]

Re: Battle & Breeding

Spitting curses, Arkeia re-centered herself and lashed out at one of the goblins who had bungled at strike at her, jabbing with her rapier and catching one of the goblins in the ribs, and then slashing violently at his throat.

but will use heroism to make it 6 to take out a goblin.

With a twist of her waist and a roll of her wrist, her shortsword feinted and allowed her to jab her rapier through the goblin's chest as he attempted to recoil and guard his vulnerable neck. That moment of weakness was all that she needed in order to pierce one of the diminutive monster's lungs, and she quickly withdrew her narrow blade and once more rotated in place to regain her balance, facing the other than she had attempted to kill.

Re: Battle & Breeding

Faeyna yelps in anger and pain as the goblin pounced on her back and smacked her with a rock. Now she was mad. He wanted a ride? He'd get a ride. She reached up and tried to grab the goblin's arms and hold him in place, before jumping back and trying to slam it against the ground beneath her.

Unfortunately the slippery goblin was too quick for her and got out of the way, her grunting as she takes the full brunt of her own slam on the ground.
