Re: Boys Dorm and Communal Room

"Eh, tell 'em that just makes ya an eccentric," the other young man replies to Leo's predicament. At his question, he shrugs. "Parents figured Ah needed a formal education, so they looked around and Gossamah here fit their bill. They keep sendin' me back because, strange as it is, Ah like the place. And the company." He chuckles and glances over at Siphon and chuckles again.

For several hours nothing noteworthy happened, until the school clock chimed for ten o'clock. Students, as well as any objects suddenly stopped moving, as if time itself had frozen and a moment later a loud explosion sounded from over by the A Building.

Re: Boys Dorm and Communal Room

With time having been restored and his need for energy burning, Siphon had re-entered the Communal building, then found a quiet corner with a wall outlet.

Anyone within the building would take sudden note that the power inside suddenly surged, then went out for a good three minutes before finally coming back online.

Anyone checking the circuit breakers for the building would discover nothing amiss when they got there, Siphon having already departed nonchalantly, on his way to leave a few messages.

Jonathan entered the building, avoiding contact with other people. He didn't get his room key yet, being a new student and a lazy bastard. He had an idea, though. After getting inside the building, Bird began to search for a suitable place to spend the night, eventually reaching the communal room. As he got in there, Jonathan wondered what to do. He could sneak into an unused room - his ability made barriers such as doors not much of a challenge. On the other hand, a couch was fine too, and searching for an empty room was a pain. Bird decided to sleep on a couch tonight. He quickly claimed one, falling asleep soon.

Re: Boys Dorm and Communal Room

Ian really had no notion of what time it was as he finally made his way back to the dorms. Too much. Just too much going on. Not to mention he was starting to get a raging headache, the way he'd been using his powers. And speaking of, that was a lot to process: everyone that hadn't been frozen. If his friends, whom he knew had certain gifts, weren't frozen, it stood to reason that's why the others could move, too, even if he hadn't seen everyone there doing something. Nothing to concern himself with now. Bed. Bed was going to be very good.

Heading over to get some bottled water from the fridge, the glow illuminated someone sleeping on one of the couches. Walking over, he stood there quietly for a moment, trying to see if he knew who it was. Hard to make out the face in the dark and he didn't quite look familiar. Maybe...Ah. He recognized the clothes. He'd caught a look at them whie he was checking on Yume.

For now, it was on to bed. If the guy wanted to sleep here, he was fine by that. In fact, the other couches looked pretty comfortable opposed to climbing stairs and into bed. Still, best to do that. A good night's sleep after this would be plenty welcome.

Re: Boys Dorm and Communal Room

Jack walks in the communal room and quickly moved to make bowl of cereal for himself. He was visible tired and the area around the outside of his right eye was discolored. This mark was from when the helmet from Charles slammed in to his face last night. Faint bags wore also under his eyes but wore not nearly as noticeable next to discolored mark on his face.

He moves over to one of the couches, that didn't have some sleeping in, and sits down eying the doorway in between spoons full of cereal.

Re: Boys Dorm and Communal Room

Jonathan woke up slowly. He usually wasn't the kind of person to wake up at this hour without an alarm clock, but the unusual enviroment in which he spent the night probably threw his schedule off the tracks. Bird sat up, rubbing his eyes, then got off the coush and yawned loudly. This was a prelude to a morning ritual of sorts - the student stretched his entire body, each joint cracking audibly as it was put to test.

Satisfied with the result of his "morning workout", Jonathan took a look around and noticed that he wasn't alone. He didn't really know who this other person was. Still, it was no reason to ignore the guy. Especially since he looked as if he went through some nasty stuff. "Good morning." Perhaps a neutral greeting would be enough...

Jackson turned his head at the sound of the other student's yawn and watched as he got up and stretched. He lifted an eyebrow at the audible cracking of joints. Jack turned away not going to question sound. He started to down more of the cereal before hearing a greeting.

"Morning..." Jackson replied after he stopped eating. He the almost empty bowl on the table in front of him before he said anything else.

"Get locked out of your room or something?" He question as he was starting to wonder why anyone would sleep in a communal room. Despite the tired look his face gave off his emerald green eyes seemed keen to every detail of the room about him.

Re: Boys Dorm and Communal Room

"Uh..." Jonathan wasn't sure if he wanted to tell the truth. Forgetting to get yourself a key to your own room on the first day in new school wasn't a smart move at all. He'd rather avoid being called an idiot if necessary. "Something like that." He waved his hand in a dismissive gesture, adopting a calm, almost bored look.

One of the traits Bird had honed to near perfection was his ability to appear tired and apathetic whenever not focused on any activity. The fact that he was simply lazy helped him maintain the facade. This was useful when he wanted to tell a lie with a straight face. Though perhaps it'd be better to stop the other student from inquiring further by tossing the ball to his side of the field. Of course, Jonathan did that with all the grace he had. "Let me guess... A suddenly opening door?" He was obviously talking about the hard-to-miss mark on Jackson's face.

Re: Boys Dorm and Communal Room

Jack was a little surprised at the sudden turn about he did his best not to show it.

"Yea... a door. We'll go with that." He said as started to focuses on the kid's face. He couldn't place it but he felt like he had at least seen this kid somewhere before. He reaches in to his pocket and pulls out some headphones but only slides one in his right ear. Jackson turns it on flips through the menus to get the song he want to listen to. The sudden and unique guitar rifts would be easy to for Bird to hear with them being the only ones in the communal room.

Jackson then reaches for the bowl and downs what was left in one big gulp.

Re: Boys Dorm and Communal Room

Well, at least it seemed Jonathan managed to establish some kind of connection with Jackson. Bird shrugged and went to the kitchen section to get himself something to eat. After a brief search, he decided to eat some cereal. It was good enough.

Returning with his breakfast, Jonathan couldn't help but hear the song Jackson chose. He listened for a moment, and his head began to move up and down slightly, matching the beat. "Not bad. You've got nice taste."

Re: Boys Dorm and Communal Room

Jack turned to look at Jonathan for the comment. It was rare to hear anyone say anything like that seeing as he was from New York City. How people could call Rap music made no sense to but to each their own. It was good to know other knew good music when they heard it.

"Seems you got one too." He said as he stood to walk to clean and put away the bowl he used. "Pride and Glory, Guilty Gear... if you wanted to know." He added quickly before moving to sit down again.

As he sat down he decide he might as well give his name.

"Jackson Cougar." He said.

Jonathan smiled slightly when Jackson responded. It seemed that the ice was beginning to break. Well, since he was going to spend some time in this school, it wouldn't hurt to make a few friends, right? Bird sat down on a couch and started to eat his cereal. "Jonathan Bird. I'm new here."

Rolf, still looking half asleep, wonders into the communal room.

"Why am I awake.... it's too early...."

He slumps into a nearby chair and looks around through half focused, half open eyes. They eventually settle on Jackson.

"Hey... wasn't he at the thing... with the thing?"
he mutters to himself.

Re: Boys Dorm and Communal Room

Hearing that Jonathan was new made Jackson relax a lot more. Knowing he wasn't the only new guy to the school was a big relief.

"Well. Jon... I'm new here too so you aren't the only one. But I have at least been here the past few days." He said as started to relax back into his seat. He was about to continue before Rolf walk in.

He watched the new person, noting he had saw him last night. His power was some type of energy but having not watched everything the boy had done he had no clue on it's limits. Jack turns back to Jon after he heard the other boy mumbled something.

"Over all the school is cool and different if you a Yank like me from New York." He said after looking back at Jon.

Re: Boys Dorm and Communal Room

Jonathan smiled. "To be honest, I'm not even from this country..." Bird certainly didn't save on his breakfast - his bowl was filled nearly completely with cereal and milk. However, he was eating at a really quick pace, his jaws operating like a set of industrial saws. The cereal was disappearing at a really fast rate - one could wonder where Jonathan stored all that mass, given how slim he actually was.

"I've spent most of my life in Europe. Landau in Germany, to be precise. I was born somewhere else... Don't remember where, though." Bird was nearly done with his meal already. "My mother decided to move to a place not far away from here a couple of months ago." He sighed, pausing to stare at the spoon he was using for a while. "I'm still getting used to this country, to be honest. Anyway, how's this school? Are the teachers a pain here?"

"From what I have seen so far so long as you are doing what you should be doing the teachers are cool." Jackson answered as he watched Bird was almost inhaling his food. He was about to questioned it but decided to just leave it be.

He started to toy with his mp3 player again decided not to keep listen to the Guilty Gear OST. He flip around the menus a bit before playing "The Trooper" by Iron Maiden. He ,however, did turn it down a bit as not to brother Rolf.

Re: Boys Dorm and Communal Room

Jonathan finished his meal and took care of the bowl, cleaning and putting it away. He returned to the couch he occupied, sat down and sighed. He probably ought to prepare himself for classes soon, and that'd involve changing his clothes. Well, it was just a matter of finding a suitable place where no one would see him. Given the nature of his ability, the process of changing would be short and painless - he had to make sure that no one saw him, though. Bird would rather avoid getting dissected.

Re: Boys Dorm and Communal Room

Ian eventually meanders into the common room as well, glancing around and noting the crowd of folks that were here already and acutely aware that he was absent one room mate as of last night. It had been strange, waking up and finding the other half of the room empty. He reached into his pocket and toyed with the note that was folded up in there.

Bastard, he mentally cursed Siphon once again.

Passing through the room with the occasional "G'day, g'day," to anyone that happened to greet him, he set about getting something in his stomach before he remembered what else he wanted to do before classes and that was go check on Yume and Art. Leaning against the counter with his own bowl of cereal, he made note of faces that he remembered seeing running around in the courtyard the previous night. He also caught sight of Jackson's shiner, shaking his head and putting the bowl down for the moment, heading over to the fridge.

No ice packs, of course, but there were cubes. Finding a clean washrag, he cracked a few out of the tray and folded them up into the cloth. Not a steak, but it'd do.

"Here, mate, if ya want it." He approached Jackson from the front, noting the earbuds, holding out the cloth. If he took it, fair enough. If not, he'd just dump the things in the sink and be done with it. Either way, he was back to his breakfast in short order and making quick work of it after that.

Re: Boys Dorm and Communal Room

Exiting his room half dressed he slides on his shirt and lets loose a mighty yawn. With a bag in hand he makes his way upstairs towards the kitchen. Finding a countertop he withdraws his cutting board and chef knife and begins to prepare a omelette packed with peppers onions and some lunchmeat.
