Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

The older Sea dog nodded and backed away letting Rikke enter the whispering jungle all on her own. As she moved forward the whispers just seemed to stay a head their source moving away from Rikke at the same pace she kept. Soon the dark jungle obscured the rogue from where she had been just moments before. All the while the whispers kept going and teasing just out of sight. Soon however a ruined villa began to appear out of the tangle of vines and underbrush. Outside it a member of the crew lay on the broken stairs rambling.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Rikke kept her blade already drawn as the goosebump across her body just wouldn't disappear! Though being so on edge, the rogue was prepared to react to absolutely anything that came for her!... albeit it did make her more than a little jumpy. Making a few poor plants and rocks suffer for it in the process.

Still it seemed it wouldn't be long, until the rogue reached the epicenter of the omnious voices... A villa! Rikkes eyes widened as she'd place the blade aside and looked it over. Well it explained the orchard, but what was it doing all the way here?

Suddenly Rikke would spot movement as a shiphand was here?! The poor man was sitting at the stairs up to the villa, but from this distance the girl couldn't quite make out anything else "Hey! HEY!" the heroine quickly rushed towards the man to check if he was okay, shunning her own quite noticeable fear aside.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Rikke rushed up to the man only for him to turn his pure white eyes on her and snap viciously like a dog. Haulting her in her tracks she watched as foam began to boil out of the man's mouth and his body contort bones snapping and crunching sending nauseating sensations threw the rogues body. Falling forward the man seemed heave arching his back up. Agast Rikke saw his skin split as sleek black fur was revealed underneath. Even the man's face contorted in pain began to elongate the flesh ripping only reveal fur. Soon enough huge short haired war hound appeared and began to eat the discarded man flesh paying almost no heed to Rikke.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Rikke was utterly speechless as she stepped back, her own eyes almost whited out from the gruesome sight. The man had become a werebeast right before her eyes! A particulary hungry and feral beast at that! Looking to the wretched creature, the rogue hardly noticed how quickly her hand rested on her blades hilt. She really walked into this!

Could she even kill it without silver? Was it even a werebeast curse to begin with?! It couldn't be... but whatever it was, the curse absolutely reeked of dark magic. While it was busy, the rogue coudn't delay as she'd draw her blade and rush to kill it! She couldn't leave the sailor like this, nor could she leave the beast to roam the island as well!

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Lunging forward the devilish black war hound quickly dodged away growling at Rikke and readying itself for an attack. No evidence of the creatures former humanity remained and even the whispers seemed to have stopped to observe this conflict. For a moment the two circled each other Rikke trying to find favorable ground from which to launch her attack and the hound keeping its eyes on Rikke.

Initiative
Rikke 16
Hound 14

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Though it seemed just as Rikke drew her blade, the creature quickly reacted lunging back and preparing for battle! "Sorry about this..." the girl brandished her blade and took on her signature stance, thankfully the Wargs craftsmanship was all too clear with this blade as well! Light, comfortable and all too pleasant in the heroines hand...

It was time to see if she still had it! Rushing forward in no-longer the supernatural speed she once controled, the girl quickly aimed a simple two-strike attack!

[Blade dance!

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Rolls
Rikke attacks blade dance two hits 13 damage
Hound attacks Rikke parries (3) blocking 10 damage and parries for 5 more
Rikke finishes it off no need to roll

Lashing out quickly the rogue was surprised at how much speed she had lost. Thankfully she was still fast enough to outclass the former sailor turned beast. Two crimson scars formed on the flanks of the beast as it took the opportunity to lunge at Rikke. Battling back the brutes attack Rikke scoured a counter on the beast. Still it wouldn't drop adjusting her stance Rikke quicly struck the final blow the beast whimpering its last breath as Rikke ended it. Left alone on the steps she caught her breath. It wasn't long before the whispers returned however.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

The rogue rushed forward and let loose a two-strike dance, the graceful yet deadly style catching the primal beast completely off-guard as she'd severely wound it! Though as the beast raged forward in relation, Rikkes blade was already prepared to intercept an attack as maw and steel clashed out loudly... before there was silence. Rikke flicked her blade of the creatures blood and sighed with relief, thankfully it was a clean take-out. Though the girl couldn't but notice the complete shift in speed. Her movements, while feeling more natural were just like before she even entered the Preslie manor. More refined- yes, but far more... human.

Still looking back to the lifeless monstrosity the rogue couldn't think for long as the whispers returned.

The others had to learn of this!... yet the rogue was at the potential source of it all, not to mention she still had daylight. Unfortunately, she'd have to head inside... even if she really did not fancy the idea at all! 'Oh-kay... just scout it... just scout it...' she'd calm herself as she approached the manors entrance and carefully peeked inside, listening for movement before she entered.

The Villa itself seemed well preserved, unlike the ruin Rikke had briefly explored with Soda. As she crossed the threshold she felt a wave of dizziness assault her followed by flashes of visions. One the black war hound sat next to its master overseeing the comings and goings of the staff. Nearby a dancer swayed her hips and did her best to entice the owner into some lascivious act. Blinking Rikke cleared her head finding her self much further into the Villa than she had thought. At the moment she stood in the entertainment hall that she had just seen.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Rikke placed a hand on her head feeling dizzy for a brief few moments as strange sights intermixed with laughter and incomprehensible murmurs, still as the girl shook her head she'd find herself... in the entertainment hall?

The black hounds... it seemed familiar to the monstrosity the sailor had become. Though Rikke couldn't be sure for now. Still seemed the Villa was certainly the absolute epicenter of whatever happened here, yet it was still unclear why the spirits lingered here. Much more curious was what happened to the sailor!

Shaking her head once again, Rikke would blink and look around. It was very clear she should not linger here for too long, though there was one thing she could try... "Hello?" she'd call out to the abbandoned Villa and listened. If nothing changed, Rikke would look around the room. Especially of note would be the places she had seen the owner and the dancer.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

The longer she stayed the louder the whispers became. Disoriented by the unfamiliar location and poor lighting Rikke found herself stumbling deeper in. Once more visions assaulted her. A kiss the warm press of bodies and the sweet smell of perfume washed the rogues senses.

A warm hand lead her up the brightly lit hall as the Master of the Vila led her back to the dancing platform. The other servants smiled knowing full well that her and the master had just shared an intimate moment. There was no denying it either as Rikke felt the pleasant ache of their union in her loins. Still she had to dance for the Owner and so she took the stage once more her silken dancer dress shimmering in the candle light its sensual low cut showing her assets to the fullest with out being her being naked.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Rikke giggled lightly as she was back on her platform, blowing a brief kiss towards the owner as she's raise her hands to lace them above her head, starting off her dance. Her hips swaying in a subtle circular manner, the dancer herself slowly turning around showing off her supreme body.

The girls hands would slowly unlace from one another as she'd sensually bite down on her lower lips, sliding her hands down along her body. Her hands gliding along her neck down to around her bust, ever so subtly pressing down to just hint at the sensation of the divine valley. Moving around her marvelous cups, Rikke continued to guide her hands down her smooth midriff now slowly leaning forward towards the onlookers as she did so.

The girls palms slid lower and lower along her body, only to brush against her clothed treasure and spread apart to either inner thigh! As she'd glide her hands along her legs, she too would be in a full lean, showing off her marvelous assests to the onlookers in a generous display!

Seeing their faces, Rikke could only smile as she'd glance towards the owner who too seemed to enjoy the far more sensual approach to her dancing... perhaps enough to--- 'Wait! Wait!'

Rikke seemed to furrow her brow as she leaned out fully, breaking her dance. This wasn't right! Crap! She had to get out! And get out now! The rogue-- dancer quickly looked to a nearby window or doorway to escape as light fear rushed through her body!

The crowd didn't seem to notice Rikke distress as seh quickly jumped a nearby window, the warm candle light giving way to the humid dark jungle. Standing she looked back at the ruin the voices still a low murmur. Moving her foot she winced and saw that she was in the dancers cloths from the vision. Nearby rested her blade, the well forged weapon still resting in the hounds rapidly decaying body. That didn't seem natural at all either.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Rikke would quickly make her escape, only partly sure why she'd even do such a thing! Still something inside her burned with the need to escape, a sensation she just could not ignore...

Once outside she'd still hear subtle murmurs and even spot a blade? Her blade! Inside the monstrosity she just fought! Where were her clothes? Why--- confusion rang supreme throughout the rogue, as question after question rushed throughout her body. Whatever the case may be she had to get away from the Villa and fast!

Rushing to her blade she'd look to quickly grab it and rush back to the orchard as quickly as she could! If she could...

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

It seemed it was time to retreat. Grabbing the blade Rikke ran to the orchard. Arriving she found the place empty the men from before having already left. Thankfully as soon as she had entered the murmurs ended having escaped the source at the Vila. Taking a calming breath she would no doubt have alot to explain to Sasha.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Rikke rushed through the jungle, subtle rings of inviting music echoing at the back of her mind. She felt an undeniable pull to return to her dance, to the platform... to the Villa! Though shunning all that aside soon enough the rogue broke through the flora and tumbled out from a brush into the orchard grounds, not even stopping until she had reached the pears and lied down on the ground from absolutely mad sprint.

Breathing deeply in exhaustion, the rogue paused briefly as blissful silence with the occasional chirp of a bird echoed out. She had made it! Rikke grinned widely to herself and laughted lightly in sheer relief as she'd sit up. What the heck just happened?

Still her breath returned, the rogue stood up and brushed herself off the dirt and occasional leaf. Though she had to blink as she'd note she had a wholly different outfit now! Infact, just how long had she spent in that Villa? After the girl entered inside every even now remained fuzzy, a flurry of images and scenes, she'd not even be able to quite place.

Whatever the case may be, thankfully it seemed whatever lingered in the Villa it was contained inside. Though she had to warn everyone to keep away! Checking her blade, Rikke would grab yet another pear to snack on to refresh herself as she'd rush off to the landing area.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Heading back to the landing point Rikke finally glimpsed the sun starting to decline. How long had she been gone? Still it seemed Shala was waiting with her boat the other still empty and alone. "Rikke.... what happened.... where did you... Do I even want to know?" The barrage of questions sounded more matronly than angry. "The others have yet to return and you went and found new cloths?" Explaining what happened as well as she could she would soon find herself on to a boat with the rest of the crew. "We are not staying on the island tonight well come back for the others on the dawn. With theose words said Rikke saw the land fall back away as they rowed to the ship. Though the rogue swore she could hear music playing in the distance, and glowing eyes in teh jungle as they left.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Rikke would quickly explain about the manor and how it seemed to almost take over whoever entered "I...I saw one of the crew, I think he had been taken over by the image of the hounds." the girl would not elaborate on why she suspected it as she'd only say "His body was changed, but he's not suffering anymore."

Unfortunately, Rikke did not know if the others were in the manor. As reality and what the Villa showed her mixed and intertwined in her mind... still as they sailed back, the rogue couldn't help, but look back to the island seemingly still hearing the echos of her music... and a feeling a strange sensation that she was watched.

Either way, soon enough they'd be back on the ship, some way away from the island. She'd need to join Shala in telling Red of what had occured.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Explaining the situation to Red Dog the man frowned. "We have enough supplies to leave but with only one confirmed death we should send a few to find them. I don't want to linger too long however so the rescue party with have till sunset after that we have to go. Any who get left behind will have to hope for the blessing of the gods." With that the boat settled for the night which passed uneventfully for most. Just as day started to break over the waters Rikke awoke to Shala giving gentle orders to the search party.

Re: Chapter 5 Home is where the Heart is (Ubberific) GMed by ranger

Rikke spent some time on the dark deck as the night rolled in, as soo enough a few sailors snickered and offered the girl to go to bed. Still as Rikke returned to her and Shalas private quarters, she'd note Shala was asleep... well atleast she pretended she was.

The heroine snickered lightly and wouldn't let the girl know that her bluffed sleep was far from as convicing as she thought. Still as she'd get in her bed as well, the rogue would smile and utter "Don't worry Shala. We'll find them." with those words she'd allow Shala rest, as the rogue herself got some sleep as well. Tommorow would no doubt be a just as eventful day.

Rikke the stretched lazily as she'd hear the familiar voice, no less recognising what was said. Thankfully it seemed Shala did take note of the rogues tale warning the men of whispers... though the rogue wasn't quite as convinced "Morning~!" She'd appear on deck, still . "I'm going too." she'd state to Shala with a smile.
