after you both become prime minister i think the world war would start between Canada and England.

canada will then win as it will field real soldiers where as englands national budget will be squandered on giant robot research and its entire military replaced by eighteen girls in bikinis.

That... would probably make the rest of the world stare... then point and laugh hysterically to the point where they wouldn't even be able to get involved...

I'd definitely run against Oni for PM. Not sure what my campaign promises would be, though.. he seems to have, how do we put it.. "Stolen my line". Maybe I'd promise global -domination-, as opposed to basic old-fashioned war.

As for Confessions... I occasionally predict the future. Not entirely sure why... I also find the concept of emotions absolutely terrifying.

Two contestants running for Prime Minister, whom both hate each other but both offer as a campaign promise the rise again of the British Empire, except to be larger and more secure than before. I wonder how the other Commonwealth nations would respond.

Well, I said six months mostly because there's a few games I want to complete before nuking everything. But I guess I don't have to complete them. So I'd give it about a week or so, maybe four days before the nukes fly everywhere. Naturally my first targets would be Russia and Korea, maybe send some over America's way too for good measure.

And I'd only build giant robots if they all could look like the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. Also, screw the bikini's, proper rulers force their female personnel to wear tiny miniskirts.

Don't forget to have dramatic lighting in your office that causes everything above your mouth to be covered in shadows while you speak.

You make politics a scary thing. Though if you really want to rule with style while in office. Don't stop at just the lighting.

At least let some of US know beforehand. Got quite a few members over here, dont'cha know :s
Not to mention you might have a stray or two that could hit Canada. IF LM isn't dead yet, he would be then.
And then there's always the fear that you could hit Mexi--- wait, no, that might actually make the water drinkable...

Consider trying to explain them to something that didn't possess them, like a plant, or an alien.

We're stuck with something like "A thing that changes your mind based on your past, or your hopes for the future, or a random predisposition you happen to feel, probably influenced by drugs coursing through your blood produced by your body, which are in turn influenced by pretty much random environmental fluctuations, such as sunlight.."

Then you have to deal with all the stupid things they make people do. Then the times people simply tell themselves they feel an emotion.. or are told. Societal norms engineered to produce a specific reaction. Such as, everyone knows that kittens are cute. Person sees kitten, person goes "Awwww".

THEN you account for the idea that everyone feels them differently, (sort of like colours), but also believes they can recognise their effects in other people (and that's called empathy.)

......Scary concept, if you ask me.

You honestly think I'll be letting anyone survive the nuclear war if I get into power? The best way to fix the human race is to wipe them out completely after all.

Unfortunately for Oni, and fortunately for the rest of us, it takes more than one person to launch a shitload of nukes... just in case of someone wanting to wipe out humanity.

See, thats where targeting other nuke heavy countries comes into play; hopefully they'll be stupid enough to fire right back. Then other nuke-bearing countries will see it as a threat and launch theirs. I'm hoping anyway.

That's not what she meant. There are all sorts of failsafes and protocols for launch that require more than one person.

The trick, as I think was rather aptly demonstrated in the Iraq fiasco... is to convince everyone there's an excellent reason for launching the nukes..

Pretty sure an intelligence report stating that Iran were in position of nuclear WMDs and had intentions to launch them would be sufficient...

being prime minister would be awsome though, i'd get to enact all kinds of crazy laws.
