Yes, it works, this is probabely one of dlsite's weaker DRM, compared to cyberguard and other.

I believe the issue is, they only have paypal as a payment option, and as of the current time, they cannot purchase the game through the piont, since it is not avaiable in the eng section.

DRM's are pointless and have never stopped piracy. So big shocker that this one was cracked a few hours after release. Dev might as well not have spend any time and effort into it to begin with.

I feel like even calling it cracking is giving this DRM too much credit - I figured it out immediately because I can see hidden files and noticed it dumped a few right after I finished authenticating. I'm not sure who they thought they were fooling with it (then again, I've met quite a few people online who surprise me with how they can even turn on their computers).

You're joking right? It's DLsite provided DRM. You pretty much tick a checkbox when deciding whether or not you want DLsite to provide DRM for the product you're selling.
Lotta "work" that is. :rolleyes:

No I'm not 'joking' because suprise suprise I am not a erogame dev that submits games to dlsite and would have no idea that is how it works.
But thanks for the explaination :rolleyes: even though you are being a :rolleyes: about it. Still the most pointless DRM attempt anyway :rolleyes: Dev Might aswell not have 'ticked the box' (if that is how it actually works)

I will say that this DRM has thwarted quite a few people's attempts to obtain the game for free. And I'm not upset with the dev for wanting to make it a little harder for people to steal his product. At the end of the day, pirates are in fact stealing merchandise. I don't think there is an ethical problem with cases like this, and the reasons/justification for piracy are many, but the very fact there are people that had zero intention of paying for the game currently cannot is proof enough that this sort of thing works as intended.

Of course it has side effects, and it's a temporary measure, but if a handful of people that initially decided "nah i'm not paying for smut" give up and just buy it, then the justification is there. I hate DRM myself, but for anyone saying "WHY DO THEY BOTHER", well, that's why.

All this said I am in the ship with people that want to spend our money on this product but can't jump through all the hoops. So I choose to pirate, and perhaps down the line if I decide I like it enough, I'll actually pay for it legitimately. I do like dgallon, but I feel I'm not "hurting" him in any way in my piracy, since he will eventually get the money from me. It's below the belt and a part of me still feels bad, but that's the way things are.

Christ... People are lazy... It's not misinformation and you CAN buy points on Japanese DL site. You don't just click a Paypal Button on their site. You use the link that was provided two pages back and you buy points for the JAPANESE site. These points can then be put into game purchases. It's like buying Linden for Second-life if that helps.

Edit: Here's the link again just to make it that much easier.

Scroll to the bottom and click what Yen amount you'd like to buy. Then hit the orange button.
When you see Ecotext you just do a bit of searching and you'll get the option to link your paypal to DLsite. Literally 3 minutes of work.

Keep calling it misinformation though. That's easier than "Looking around a bit".

Anyway, it's a new year now and we got a good new game to look forward to. Either someone will make progress on cracking it or we'll get the english release, either way, this will fix issues for a lot of people. Just gotta be patient.

I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, but if you are having trouble with your card getting rejected on the JP DL site, make sure you make a JP account first. It rejected my card before when I tried just buying it straight, but it accepted it when I made a full account.

Oh sweet irony.
It's not 'literally' 3 minutes of work when someone has no idea where to look on this moonrune site of many many buttons, where you apparantly have to do things in a very specific order to get the desired method of pay. You are not helping anyone with this crappy attitude, if you really want people to go ahead and support the dev and not having to resort to piracy, then wouldn't it be in your best interest to just provide them with actual clear instructions and not half baked insults and misinformation?

Well, i actually created an account on the english site to buy some points and waiting patiently for the game to be released there. But like it seems, buying points via Paypal is not available anymore... so i guess it's time to actually get a prepaid credit card, oh well...

Well, i'm sceptical, it's 40mb more than the actual game, that has proven to be fake in the past...
