Soon enough Jenny approached the, what was no doubt, council meeting. Each of the clans seemed to have a circular area with an elevated seat no doubt for the leader. Though even as Jenny attempted to come closer she could hear the discussion that seemed to have been going for quite a while now...

"But what then?" a dreamy silken femine voice spoke "Then we finish muster our forces and clean the infestation once and for all! Without a queen every spider we kill will be final." "N-No..." a very weak and frail voice echoed out from one of the groups "Violence begets violence, we cannot just kill these creatures..." and finally a fourth voice this one standing out as male spoke up "Then what shall we do? Allow these spiders to pollute more of the forest, steal and kill more of our people?!"

Despite not being a member of the council or even the race of people who's fate were tied to this Jenny kept moving. Perhaps her appearance would cause enough of a distraction that she would be questioned and they should could offer her own opinion on the matter after all she couldn't betray her promise to the kind woman who let her in.

"Our kin have just as much claim to live as the spiders. We are not gods to choose who will carry on and who will disappear." the silken voice once more spoke, continuing to carry a certain dreamy quality about it "But we are mortal." the man spoke up "These predators will continue to attack, ambush and destroy. If we lose our hunting grounds or our picking lands, what then?"

"But exactly predators they are, these creatures are not evil. They are just as keen to live... as any of us." the weak voice objected "This is not a matter of gods or philosophy, but of the well being of our people. The spider queen is held within our camps, sooner than later she'll send word for her children. We all know what happens then."

Seemed the four sides were split. Coming closer Jenny could now properly see the leader of each side. Beneath the Rangers colors, was an exceptionally beautiful elf in green and earthen colored armor. The fine leathers seemed to be accentuate by a subtle scarf the woman wore bearing some sort of insignia. Beneath the Earthen colored flag was a male elf, unlike what Jenny usually imagined elves this one appeared to have a fairly well kept beard, kind eyes and was clearly of strong stature. His clothes were significantly less extravagent and basic.

The brilliant yellow banner seemed to almost radiate sunlight, just as much the woman sitting beneath it. The girls appearance mimicked her voice as she appeared almost surreal, her semi-transparent white gown seemed to subtly float and caress her body as she looked to the discussion with half-lided eyes.

Though perhaps the most surprising leaders was of the Seekers. Beneath the black banner of their clan was a pale, exceptionally frail and weak looking girl. Her white haired appeared overgrown, hiding her fairly raged body. Surprisingly, even if her eyes appeared weak... she had an unmistakeable aura of genuine kindness about her.

Still as Jenny looked over each leader suddenly to the previously empty stand a female stepped up. It was one of the Oracles guards! Adorning the purple and black silken armor she'd step up and speak, her mouth masked, but somehow not impeding her voice "The Oracles would like to attend this meeting as well." she'd announce spurring a murmur of whispers all around. This seemed to almost wake the Yellow banner dreamer as she turned with curiousity as well "And who speaks for them?" the Ranger female addressed the woman in a fairly formal manner "Not I." she'd look to the crowd and directly to Jenny and Riley, who ended up being stood out from the crowd "A-a human?" the weak looking girl spoke up "Outsiders?" the ranger also added to the confusion "Yes."

The Oracle guardian motioned to Jenny, as people cleared a path to the stairs that lead to the small podium of sorts. If or when Jenny stepped up to the leaders she felt all gazes on her as they observed this strange curiousity in silence.

Jenny would stride with the best possible grace she could manage up to the podium. Unfortunately the best possible grace was taught to her by succbi. No doubt it was quite the show for any of the members of the council who enjoyed the female form. "The Oracles have told me I hold the fate of your people in my hands. I will not lie about this. I do not want it. However Seldom to people get what they want and have things forced on them they do not wish to do. I have been giving a responsibility I do not want for a people I do not know." Jenny would look at each of the delegates in turn. "Life... life is a precious thing. No one truly knows that until they been on the brink of losing it. I've seen it and been there and come back. I hate killing but I know that some times it is a life and death struggle. You may feel on the brink now but I have faced it before and you and yours are not there yet. Before you embark on a campaign of death let me speak to the spider queen."

The chamber listened in silence as Jenny spoke, though she felt a fair few hatefully gazes pierce her the girl would not crumble and spoke out.

As she finished however there was a brief silence, before a dreamy voice broke it "Ha~ Well said~" the dreaming blonde spoke up first in a lightly amused fashion, her smile seen from her comfortable position. Jenny could also see a light smile cross the albino girl under the Seekers flag, though she almost seemed too weak to speak on the matter... however not all seemed to be moved by her words "Who even are you to speak of these matters?" it was the ranger representative, out of all the attending only she stood firmly "Do you even know our kin, our people? Do not presume you can make our choices for us, human."

"Agreed." the elven man beneath the brown banner spoke up "I do not trust her, we have the advantage and the enemy queen in our grasp. Allowing this... stranger even near her is absurd."

"Yet here she stands, a stranger from lands we may have not even dreamt of." the blonde seemed to once more support Jenny, keeping a smile on her face "Her arrival here at exactly this time, it's quite the coincidence. One could say... destined?"

The male elf would speak next "Speeches of destiny are only for the Dreamers and the Oracles, we have no reason to trust her." "Agreed." the ranger leader joined in.

"T-Then..." the weak voice spoke up, instantly spurring a silence through the halls that began to mumble "Perhaps we give her a chance. W-we've been on a standstill for so long... perhaps a fifth vote." she'd grip her shoulders and shuddered seemingly cold "Could break it."

The silence continued as there could be heard some mumblings from the crowd "Oracles..." the ranger spoke up "One week, we give this human one week to prove that she's worthy to even stand here." "A test for the Oracles pick~ Arara~ How amusing~" "If we must, but if she fails we cannot risk our people lives any longer." each of the representatives spoke up, with the albino girl only giving a nod of approval.

"What is your name, human?" the ranger looked to her with sheer distrust, though with her everyone seemed to turn to their would be fifth member.

Jenny would look up at the ranger woman. "My name is Jenny and I would think that with those ears of yours you would have heard clear enough that no I do not know your people. I also clearly said that I did not choose this path." Jenny turned her head to look at the man a faint red flareing in her eyes.... it would be easy.. but also wrong. Blinking she cleared her head a moment. "Besides if you already have her me seeing her will mean little. Tell me have any of you tried to speak with her?"

Under such close scrutiny every motion and emotion Jenny showed seemed to not slip either of the four leaders "Humm~" the sleepy blonde hummed casually "Such dark waves... And here I was almost supporting her." the ranger scoffed "Typical humans. No respect towards anyone or anything." the elven mans gaze did not falter even for a second as he met her gaze straight on, his arms crossed and stance unmoving "Perhaps it is your ears that fail you, stranger." he snapped back.

"We already said we do not trust you. Do you understand? If you wish to see our captive, you will have to earn it." he'd continue "If you do not accept this, you will be escorted out of our lands. Oracles or not." the others remained silent seemingly agreeing with what was said.

Jenny simply shrugged she hated stuff arrogant types. "Respect is earned for my people. Not given out just because someone puts on haughty airs. Deeds not words is a saying among my kin. Your deeds and words have only shown me that I'm not welcome here. I came here as a request from a friend to help save their home in this forest. I guess I have failed and it saddens me." Turning Jenny began to walk down the podium.

Just as Jenny began her retort, suddenly she saw, at the very edge of her vision a familiar purple wispy trail? Moments later the girl seemed to lose her voice and a hand clasp her mouth "What... my friend is trying to say." it was Riley who interrupted her! "We've only just now arrived to your lands, it's a fair culture shock and a bit scary." she'd keep a smile, before looking back to Jenny and raising a finger to her lips to shush her.

The very oddly dressed girls arrival and flat-out interruption of her companion was met with a fair bit of murmuring as well, before they were silenced with one of the representatives hand motion "This is a debate, not a show. The Oracles chose poorly, this discussion is over, human..." the ranger was about to dismiss her when Riley raised her own hand showing the sign as well "But Jenny wasn't the only one chosen." silence befell the crowd as Rileys own mark gleamed briefly with subtle light. This seemed to surprise a fair few elves and the representatives... if anything Riley certainly knew how to work the crowd.

"Its true we're outsiders and we cannot make any choice regarding your people." Riley kept a smile and attention of those around as she spoke "Jenny may be hot-tempered and with a mean character at times, but her intentions are kind. Please, the Nyx clan situation is strongly related to our friends lives... just sometimes emotions run high. It would be a true honor to earn this councils trust and join it as equals." Riley made sure to absolutely keep Jenny constricted from speech or motions for the moment, before the silence was interrupted with laughter?

"A-ra-ra~" the blonde once more proved to be the most brazen one "Oh~ This is a most interesting evening indeed." the ranger however did not find the situation as amusing "You come our sacred---" "Enough Tyra." the man actually interrupted the girls outrage, much to her surprise "As you've said and as they've said, they are outsiders. They know not better."

He'd turn to Riley who kept a worried smile "Learn of our people, of our culture and earn each of the clans trust. Then return here in one weeks time. We shall decide the Nyx queens fate then."

"You are far too forgiving, Telorus." Tyra, the elven ranger commented, much to the mans chuckle "Well I am a simple elf at heart..." "Then it is settled?~" the blonde finished "Good luck, Chosen of the Oracle." she'd beam a smile. Only for Riley to politely smile back and turn around, taking Jennys hand to lead her away...

Once free of the magic and out of ear shot of the council Jenny would herumph at Riley. "Mean of spirit!" She would pull a face. "Still you probably saved our mission." Sighing Jenny would sit and rest a moment. "Riley Ive never been in a place so vibrant yet so stagnant and dead inside." Looking up at Riley Jenny would smile. "Go find Grace we have to make a plan after all your are right Im not the only one chosen by the Orcales.

The moment the duo cleared out, instantly she'd be assaulted by rapid taps from two fingers on the head! "Bad bad!" Riley leaned out and looked to her shaking her head, though keeping a smile "You need to tame that character of yours. We were almost kicked out of the whole place! Aren't we supposed to resolve the spider situation?" still soon enough the trickster sighed deeply, her tutoring done, before both of them sat down "Well I guess it calmed them down." she'd shrug casually and look to Jenny, before hearing what she said... though as Jenny finished Riley had a curious eyebrow raised and a smirk on her face.

"Well~ Jen, who are we to these people?" she'd smile casually and nudge towards the fountain where she found Jenny, there a fair number of children were busy playing and splashing each other. Laughter from the simple folk echoing out, before a ranger came up to scold them in a clearly 'older style' if anything "Stagnant.. maybe, but it doesn't seem dead to me." she'd look to Jenny from behind her top-hats rim "Maybe someones so used to ruins they forgot how life looks hum~?" she'd giggle "And that's coming from me." Riley playfully flicked Jennys nose, before standing up "I've no idea where Grace went off though..."

Shielding herself from the rapid bonks Jenny would flee till she found a spot to sit and receive her scolding. "Riley they are idiots! You would think they would be far more curious and try to understand the situation, rather than act immediately to kill a whole tribe. Besides they don't want us here." Sitting in silence a moment Riley would get up and make her statement about grace. "No worries I'm sure you'll find her rather quickly after all she will stand out. After all now that we have a task we need to plan. Ill stay here for now thinking about how best to go about it.

Riley remained silent before gripping her hands turned into fists, as if the girl was bracing herself for something... "So what?!" she'd respond to Jennys first few comments with sudden vigor "So what if they're idiots? So what if they're rude or ignorant! There's far more people depending on us than them! I cannot walk away from everyone, just because it means I need to lower my head. We're heroes aren't we? We help people whenever or wherever we can... right?"

She'd relax and look to Jenny, scolding her like this seemingly hurting her in part as well. Riley would fall silent after that, awaiting what Jenny would say with baited breath.

Jenny would stand up and brush off her butt in silence and look right at Riley. A moment would sit in time the pollen of a nearby tree hovering in the sunlight. Cocking her head slightly Jenny moved forward quickly and kiss Riley deeply on the mouth and hold her a moment till the girl relaxed. Only then would she let her go and break away. "I know silly I know. Now go find Grace." Jenny would turn Riley around and give her a playful smack to her rump. " I haven't given up yet I just needed to vent!"

Rileys eyes went wide with the sudden notion, though she didn't quite fully return the kiss. Still as the kiss broke, the trickster smirked slyly to her "Kisses will only cover so much goof ups." she'd give her a sly look "Fine~ I'll go, I'll go..." with a goodbye wink the trickster rushed down the stairs and looking both ways picked a direction and head out in her search. The girls purple outfit making her exceptionally easy to track even from great distance.

Still Rileys words echoed out across Jennys mind, she had indeed been set to just leave.. then again it was just her following her gut reaction. The girl would have a brief moment of solitude, before she'd hear footsteps near her as the meeting seemed to have concluded and all the attending partipants took their leave. Oddly enough she'd not see a single of the leaders exit with the rest of the crowd.

Riley was right she couldn't give up more than just these people counted on her. Besides the children here have done no wrong to her and the most she had any beef with was the ranger woman and she was just protecting her home. Sighing Jenny moved to sit down again. Leaving was never an option and while it was tempting to bypass the council and do it on her own was tempting she couldn't afford to fight both spiders and elven rangers. It was too dangerous and for once just once Jenny would love to have the support of the people she was trying to save. "Im an easily angered fool." Falling back against the grass Jenny lay and looked up at the sky. Try to earn their respect huh. It was a far more daunting task than stated as the very elves she had to earn respect of hated her kind.

Considering her options and with the last of the people having left the meeting, Jenny just looked up to the bright blue sky and enjoyed the subtle breeze that ran across the fresh grass patch. If there was one major difference between normal towns and this one - the flora was front and center here.

Still as she relaxed she'd hear footsteps approach her, hopeful for her companions return Jenny looked up... only to meet the eyes of the same

that got her onto the stands before! The oddly colored elf looked to her, half of her face hidden under a mask while the top revealed tatooed eyes "Do you require assistance?" she'd ask in a calm manner and looked to her, even if she was a fair stranger Jenny felt that out of all the elves in this town... she had encountered this strange girl the most.

Sitting up before standing Jenny looked at the stranger. Something about her spoke of mystery and danger. Still she was probably the only one willing to help her. No doubt to further her own goals. "Yes I could use some help.. Maybe you could tell me a bit about the leading powers there in the council?"

The girl remained silent for some time just looking to Jenny in silence with sparkling blue eyes, though just as Jenny began making a move to break the stranger spoke up "You are in the elven city of Meridia, a settlement created and overlooked by the five ruling clans. The Builders, The Dreamers, The Seekers, The Rangers and The Oracles."

She'd shift her stance briefly, before continuing "Originally this place was a recluse for The Oracle clan, a sacred location only sought during pilgrimages. However as the Draconis war shifted refugees would flock to the shrines to seek shelter, these first refugees would later become known as The Builder clan."

"Later as the loses continued to mount, two more clans would arrive to seek refuge and establish the base of Meridia. The guardian clan of The Rangers and the acolytes of Jakorus, The Dreamers. As the new settlement began to grew The Rangers took on the duties of guarding the forests around it, while The Dreamers unique attunement to nature provided substantial boons both in Meridias growth and means of protection."

"The last of the clans to arrive were the previously unnamed Seekers, followers of the White Lady." just as Jenny expected more, the woman seemed to remain silent. Perhaps unable or just choosing not to elaborate further on the Seeker clan.

Though her silence did not linger for long "If you are to gain the trust of the clans, you should likely meet with either the Dreamers or the Builders clans. The Rangers may prove difficult and you will no doubt not be permitted to see the White Lady yet."

"I see... thank you. May I ask your name? I'm Jenny." Reaching out a hand to shake she waited. If the gesture was returned it would a firm but not painful hand shake. If not she would let it slide and shift slightly uncomfortable at the situation. "Can you tell me where the Builders and Dreamers run their affairs?"
