I updated the public version of the game to v. 0.135!

Fixed bugs/improvements:
  • Major game size and performance optimization;
  • Jump height issue was fixed;
  • You can enable VSync in Settings to lock the framerate of the game on your device now, also you can disable the stealth bonus from the background, it may increase the performance of the game on some mobile devices. We don’t recommend using VSync if the performance of the game is okay on your device;
  • Enemy AI will react on barehanded attack damage, as well as it will call the friends for backup more often;
  • Decoy device will stabilize enemy AI awareness instead of raising it with each use;
  • HE grenade was nerfed;
  • Poison gas grenade will kill the enemies faster, but it can raise the alarm if the enemy awareness was raised enough;
  • Rendering order for bullets, grenades and their effects was corrected;
  • Receiving Kira x Sigolla device will unlock its scenes in the animation gallery without using the device first;
  • The updated information about takedowns was added into tutorial/help.

Features:

• Stage 2.3 and 2.4;
• 1 HCG;

Fixed bugs/improvements:

• Overhaul of the game’s color correction and stylization, each scene has a more distinctive color correction that affects not only the scene but the characters/portraits, too. The characters better blend into the environment this way. You can still check “Ignore background color bonus” in the Settings if you want to keep in-game characters brighter. Color correction is not applied for the gallery animations and HCG viewer to provide more options for users;
• Auto-zoom during in-game sex scenes will automatically zoom out after the scene is finished. Also, the auto-zoom for sex scenes can be turned off in the Settings at all. You still can use the manual zoom if you want;
• Gameovers and VN sex scenes can be replayed with voiceover in the gallery menu under the “Memory” button, it replaced “Gameovers” button there;
• Major update to UI colors and more eye-friendly UI stylization. Screen post-effects are added for the damage with low HP, EMP, low energy, damage from gases, etc.;
• The player can walk through the enemies when having an invulnerable shield after the sex scene. Also, the player will fall through the enemies on the ground if she was stunned in the air. It decreases the number of “stunlock” situations significantly;
• Visual Tracking upgrade highlights pipes/cover objects/landmines/enemy turrets, the second tier of this upgrade highlights the pickable items’ zones, too.
• The player will take several types of falling damage depending on falling speed/height;
• The enemies can drag the player from the doorways if they touch the doorway during an alarm.
• Direct enemy touch to the player when hiding in the temporary box cover will cause the alarm for sure this time. It also will stop the player’s interaction with a body or pipe if the player was visible;
• Drawing order for enemies, player, and cover objects was set to the same drawing order as level geometry;
• Some changes were done to the main character animations;
• The corpses of enemies are affected by gravity now;
• The player will be able to perform takedowns to the enemies from behind while being in the doorways or in the invisible mode in some cases.
• Several firing modes were added, mostly for Agency’s weapons. Selecting the same equipped weapon in a quick access panel will change its current firing mode.
• New enemy traps: laser-detonated mines, motion detector detonators, automatic turrets, etc.;
• The issue with silencers/gun colors was fixed and there was a rifle silencer added as an option, too.
• Fixed missing current mission stats when loading the save;
• Fixed one bug that blocked the startup of the game when the player loaded the save with red keycard plot item;
• Fixed player’s resources UI update in CC after closing the weapon customization menu;
• Fixed blinking tooltip bug for Inventory/Upgrades windows;
• The usage of EMP will disable landmines/turrets for some time;
• The player’s HP/Energy will be restored at the start of each new mission from CC. Some re-balance was done to explosions, giving more randomness and possibility to survive, etc.
• The invisibility will not spend the energy during a cutscene;
• Destroyed robots will not be counted as kills, disabled robots via control centers will be counted as neutralizations;
• Some stage 2 enemies were re-balanced;
• Added some password hints for the last two terminals of Stage 1;
• Sigolla’s portrait was improved by making her a little bit more muscular;
• Some redundant level geometry was removed from the Stage 1 missions and some minor optimization was done to them, too.

It’s strongly recommended to start the game from the very beginning due to the modification of saving progress code. Some old saves from v. 0.21 may work, but they will not be stable.

Fixed bugs/improvements:
1) Major update to Settings window: customizable controls for keyboard and gamepad, resolution selection, and other stuff. Some default key mappings were changed, too;
2) The first phase of localization has been started. The partial translations for UI/HUD elements were added for the following languages: French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified), Polish, Vietnamese. These translations still need to be checked and corrected here and there, so if you're a native speaker and you noticed some errors - feel free to make a comment or message me with a list of these fixes;
3) Small updates of in-game level graphics in some levels;
4) Added two new backgrounds into the Gallery;
5) Bugfixes. P.S. Due to the technical limitations of Unity, the game can't get the full list of supported resolutions of your device on Android. So I made a technical workaround by assembling a list of the most popular Android resolutions. You can play with picking lower/higher resolution for your device to check how the UI fits the screen and does it improve the performance of the game or not. 1280x800 worked well for my Android tablet and 1280x720 / 1920x1080 worked well for my phone. Fullscreen checkbox determines whether an application will render outside safe area with Android buttons or not.

been a while since i checked in. 38 animations and two new characters? thats a big number, but im guessing most are variations for those new characters? well, i'll find out in abit. I liked what i played way back when, so im excited to see how things are going now

The build contains some animations with Kira (the main character), too. The point is to achieve a more or less equal amount of content with all four girls to get enough enemies for several waves in survival mode (Arena). I found out that lots of people liked the idea of having an optional survival mode in the game, but when the main plot wasn't finished - it blocked me from focusing on adding more NSFW content because I wanted to finish the main story first. I'm glad that you liked the game even a long time ago when it was more buggy and it didn't have lots of features demanded by the players like custom controls, etc. :)

I'm really not sure why so many devs feel the need to jump to 3D lately. Although this current trailer looks pretty nice, looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

But uh, I've seen like 5 different circles doing the exact same thing, messing with unity 3D just out of nowhere pretty much.
What's even stranger is that they tend to have solid 2D artwork, probably the best in terms of H-game titles. But they reach this point in quality and just... kind of ditch it next title?

Why? What's the sudden appeal in 3D H-titles now that people are willing to (at least partially) give up their 2D talent?

One of the major reasons I would think of is that, believe it or not, it's a lot less of a hassle in creating and handling assets compared to 2D. In 2D, you're not given the same amount of freedom in what you can animate and in what angle unless you create 3-4 more symbols/creations of that same object in order to reach somewhat the same amount of flexibility compared to 3D.

Plus, there's a lot more possibilities in what you can create in general with 3D than in 2D.

I can believe all that other stuff, but most H-devs/circles don't or can't push for 3D quality the same way companies do, so that freedom they get means mostly nothing. For whatever reason, 2D going into 3D devs choose to transition right at the pinnacle of their 2D talent, so they either take a half-decade to make something of quality or put out a title in a year with a significant quality drop. Just makes no sense if you've already got the skills to make decent 2D projects and have titles being bought to show for it.
Look at it this way, you're re-learning the basics in another area to get back to where you previously were. Is that time/money most small devs can afford to spend?

Look at Krieyu for instance. Master spriter with years upon years of experience, but is for some reason working on 3D VR stuff now.
Just seems like a strange directionless trend for the most part. Hope it doesn't result in a bunch of circles taking hits.

The size of the unpacked build for Windows x64 is about 3 Gb right now.

Let me explain why I made this decision one year ago. My supporters may remember a separate large Patreon post about this, so to summarize it, here are my points:
1) This project was funded with my own money from the start before I created the Patreon campaign. I poured about 10 000 $ into the sprites, portraits, and audio for the first demo, hoping to make up to 1000$ per month during the first three months of the campaign. When we launched and I understood that the project is a commercial failure, I had two options: a) abandoning it, like thousands of other Patreon-funded games; b) find a way to complete the game with fewer spendings and by cutting the amount of content to do. I started firing people and replacing them with my own work because my resources were limited. I ended up with a situation that I even do HCGs myself now (the HCGs for the last build were assembled by me without hiring an artist). It was a tough road, I finished paying off the loans that I had to make because of this game only a month ago. I'll update the description of the campaign to reflect the current situation better soon because I'm basically a one-man team right now that hires voice actors from time to time.
2) I'm not a good 2D artist, but I worked with 3D at my main job before this game's development was started. It will give me more flexibility to avoid hiring other people and cut the spendings because even after two years of the campaign, I still didn't make up to my initial goal to have at least 1k $ per month of funding. Considering the current global economic crisis, I'm not even sure that it will be possible in 2021, but we'll see how it goes. For comparison, the spendings on the content for the main plot of the second game (licenses for the base models, plugins, music, etc., excluding full voiceover, though) are three times less than the spendings were for the first demo of the first game. I feel satisfied this time.
3) Art direction. When you have to mix 2D characters with 3D backgrounds (making the game 2.5D was my largest mistake, IMO), it's a huge pain the ass to tune everything to that state when you feel that the characters look "in place". If I had an opportunity to remake the first game, I'd make it completely 2D and without the visual novel part that took lots of spendings on portraits. It would be cheaper, it would look better visually and I could make a separate visual novel with a story afterward if I wanted to.
4) The gameplay. As I mentioned before, I took inspiration from modern Deus Ex, Mass Effect, and Splinter Cell. All these games are third-person shooters with a cover system. Lots of things that work well for them, don't work well for 2.5D platformers. Yeah, there were mobile Splinter Cell 2D games on Symbian and there was a Mark of the Ninja, but my point is that my idea of gameplay works better with 3D. There was a poll for supporters one year ago, people voted for cartoon Overwatch/anime style and I like this outcome of the poll. Nobody is making a Wild Life killer game here. I'm realistic about what I can do and what I'm not able to do. Besides, when you're doing one project for several years, you want to do something completely new afterward, because there is the issue of burnout, etc. Keeping the mind being refreshed helps a lot.
5) I don't get why people always treat 2D and 3D as opposites, especially when it's related to the same game universe. Taimanin Asagi has a 3D mobile slasher game that people like, there are tons of popular 3D porn with girls from there, and the original 2D products about them continue to grow, too. I'd treat this as filling gaps for different player audiences because the funding of 3D game can help to make more art for 2D ones later and vice-versa. I made a poll about different alternative game genres a long time ago, and the 3D action game genre won that poll, as far as I remember. This decision wasn't made in one day, the main plot of the second game was written 1.5 years ago and I spent half of the previous year preparing lots of art for it myself while working on finishing the main plot of the first game.

the trend as a whole is the concern i suppose. based on it's inspirations, 3D would lend it better to stealth and what you want out of it.
as long as quality isn't really affected i suppose it's fine.
alot of 2D to 3D transitions, from my observation dip in quality alot in every regard. stiff animations, poor texture quality, less variety in body types. as long as you can prevent that there isn't really a problem.
one concern right out the gate though, same face syndrome on the main cast has me quite nervous.

I can't read all of your post. Not because I don't care, my tiny brain just can't process the wall of text without spacing.

Anyhow, for what I can reply to. Oh no, it really shows you know your stuff with 3D just from watching the trailer.
My post wasn't really directed to you at all, I've just seen a huge trend of 2D artists in their prime building themselves up from nothing. Seeing this sequel's trailer just reminded me of that, although in your case it's a good decision with direction behind it.

Sorry if this seemed like a ploy to put you down, genuinely wasn't considering it would have been taken that way.

The version for itch.io was updated, too.

Features:
1) 14 new animations (new animations for new Aphrodisiac enhancement and Ming x Kira decoy device)
2) 5 new enhancements;
3) Ming x Kira decoy device;
4) Pregnancy mechanics for some enemies and portraits of main heroines with inflated bellies for in-game cutscenes. It works only if you have the "Belly inflation" option turned on in Settings;
5) Mission 1 is available for replay;

Fixed bugs/improvements:
1) Ability to turn off fall damage in Settings;
2) New game difficulty and new struggle mode difficulty in Settings;
3) The player can persuade all other crewmates to participate in the HoloJack game under certain conditions (if the character has a good relationship with a player, which means having affection above 55 or completed invitation of Riley to VR sessions). You can choose male and female players in HoloJack dialogue;
4) Veteran's Hall wasn't used by anyone, so it was removed and re-purposed as Kira's private cabin in Command Center;
5) HoloJack mini-game gives a random bonus from +1 to +5 Lust instead of +1 Lust bonus in the previous version of the game;
6) Fat Thugs, Flying Female Thugs, PST Troopers, and PST Enforcers can be stunned from above in some cases;
7) Fixed the bug when Upgraded Sprint influenced the speed of movement when using pipes. Fast Walking enhancement affects this speed instead;
8) Fixed a bug with a critical error when a hacking mini-game is activated;
9) Fixed a bug with sorting of enhancements in a grid view;
10) The option to turn on slower sex animation framerate was added into Settings. It can be useful for some people that find current animations being too short or fast;
11) Additional rock platform meshes were added into stages 3, 3.1, and 3.2 for better gameplay. Occlusion culling data were baked for all levels to improve performance;
12) Fixed a bug when the scenes with Ouranos are not unlocked in the gallery after completing her mission;
13) Fixed sorting issues of cum particles in some animations.

The first game was updated to version 0.61!

You can get the game on Patreon and the build on itch.io was updated, too.


Thanks to one of our Special Agents, a fix was found for the Android 11 installation issue, so the game has an Arm64 build for Android now, too. Some developers call it Armv8 build, it doesn’t matter in this case.

  • If the game worked on your Android device before, you can proceed with using the usual Android/Armv7 build.
  • If the game didn’t want to install on your Android device and it was a modern device, I suggest trying the Arm64 build for Android.
  • If your Android device supports both Armv7 and Arm64, you will have to uninstall the current game and install the Arm64 build from scratch. That’s how I solved this issue for my phone because it supported both architectures and didn’t allow me to install the app with new architecture on top of the existing one with old architecture.
The majority of Android devices made during the last several years support Arm64. Technically, the game should work faster when using this architecture.

The saves from ver. 0.6 should work with this version. Don't forget that you can always use cheats and watch the HCG with voiceover in the "Gallery->Memories" menu without playing the game.

VR missions require 100% of current hentai content to be unlocked (naturally or by using cheats).

Walkthrough:
  1. If Kira has more than 25 lust and one of the male team members has 25 or more lust, he will invite Kira for some private conversation after playing the HoloJack game with him. It has three scenes per male character, corresponding to 25, 50, and 75 of lust. You can invite all five guys to Kira’s room after starting their basic romance routes and get the first scene of their group route (Kira x Mateo/Alonso/Thomas/Jonathan/Szymon) afterward.
  2. The two scenes were added to Kira x Sigolla and Kira x Caron romance lines, as well three scenes were added to the Kira x Ming romance route. Increase the affection of the ladies to see new options in their conversation menu. Two more scenes were added to Riley’s VR sessions. I remind you that crucial affection threshold values are: 65, 70, and 75 for Sigolla; 75, 80, and 85 for Caron; 70, 75, and 80 for Ming;
  3. Two new game-over scenes with tentacles: for Caron and for Sigolla;
  4. All scenes above are not fully voiced (for now) because there wasn’t enough money from the campaign to do that. However, we do hope to get the voiceover for them if support for the game increases in the future;
  5. You can unlock missions to find new girls from XRT (which will be playable in the nearest future) and two new robot companions when the first Sigolla and Caron missions are complete (3.1 and 3.2). You will need a red keycard for these missions, if you don’t have it, you can replay mission 1 and get that keycard;
  6. If Kira seduces Alonso and watched the first scene of Caron’s route, getting the lust of Alonso up to 50 and Caron up to 25 will lead to the first non-direct romance route scene to watch in Command Center ( Caron x Alonso). It’s a custom scene that was done for our first annual Special Agent reward recipient. If you want your own custom sex scene in the Command Center of the game, you can read here about how to get it:

Fixed bugs/improvements:
  1. Transparency of the VN menu background can be set now via the Settings menu
  2. Pathfinding will use more than two cores of the CPU now
  3. Fixed corrupt pathfinding graphs for some levels;
  4. You can pick up credits during mission replay;
  5. Filters for inventory items and missions;
  6. In-game shop (smuggler) in Command Center;
  7. Notification system for Command Center if the player did all the required conditions to watch a new sex scene with a character;
  8. Pregnancy/belly inflation will be displayed for portraits of all ladies and stored separately for each lady;
  9. Cow outfit for Caron in character viewer (reward for our annual Special agent);
  10. Fixed mouse cursor lock during Epilogue cutscene;
  11. Added translations of some item descriptions, prologue, intro, the first mission, and landing cutscene in Korean and Simplified Chinese.
  12. Complete translation of the game into German. Looking forward to the feedback from the audience about missing or incorrect translations here and there;
  13. Pagination was added to Audio Player;
  14. Zoom and auto-centering of the camera were added to the animations gallery;
  15. Kira x Ming decoy device animation is no longer unlocked by default and it requires obtaining a proper decoy device in Command Center by doing the Kira x Ming romance route.
