Our latest supporter release is now up, v0.20.0! This release has a few more Specialist Flirt scenes, but more interestingly contains quite a bit of new character portrait artwork! Work also continues on TTS/Accessibility Control updates, and I'll likely be continuing on that for the next release or two as well. The patron poll on the next batch of NPC portraits still has a few days left to run, but based on early results we should be having some new Roth Insectoid artwork coming up. Hey guys, got a pretty big update for our supporters tonight! First off, we've got a full half of our set of Directors arted up with portraits in just this release, with the second half already well in progress. This is the final set of NPCs needing designs, after which most of our art efforts will be able to focus on scene CGs (priorities for which we currently have a supporter poll running to decide on). Additionally, I had some time this release to add in a much-requested QoL improvement: visible hints for choices to make during Citizen Seduction attempts. Now once you've made a certain attempt on a certain race at least once, it will be marked for you in the future as a good, bad, or neutral choice to make. We also have a few more Specialist Flirt scenes, and we have Hummer and Princess up next on the list for those hoping to see more of the ladies. Game Functions:

* Monthly Cheat Code Updated
* Directors may now show portrait art where available. Director options added to gallery portraits.
* Director Scene 5 buttons will no longer appear, seeing as this content is some ways off.
* Seduction attempt choices, once used, will be colored on your next encounter with the race to indicate if they are good choices. Green = Good, Yellow = Neutral, Red = Bad. These are unlocked on a per-race basis, although there are slight preference differences between genders as well. This will only track choices attempted starting with this version.
* The 'Max Impersonation' cheat will now unlock all seduction attempt hints for all races as well. This cheat will need to be activated again with this version in order for this to take effect.

Evening all, another double update night, with v0.20.2 for the public, and v0.21.1 for patrons! This release is a little thinner than the last one, with a focus on Vox Propagandists, but mostly due to the nature of the cycle as we already have a couple new art items submitted for the next release. I recommend checking out the if you'd like more info on the coming month, and you can find the free release up at the usual . I will say here though that we're almost entirely done with the NPC design phase of the artwork, and from here on it's pretty much all gravy! And by gravy I mean sex scenes.

It's Patron release day, today with something of a milestone: completion of NPC portraits and designs! We've got three sets of Director portraits in this update, along with some new CGs and a set of Flirt scenes for the insectoid Roth Specialist, Princess. Our artists have now been retasked to working on backgrounds and sex scenes, while I'll be writing up scenes for Switch, the Secret Police Specialist for the next release. This month is getting a compressed schedule somewhat, so a smaller chunk of content, but I believe we're still making good progress even so. Today...is not a double update day, as I've moved up the release of v0.22.1 to avoid landing on the holiday. Patrons do get a treat tonight, however, with a new batch of Specialist flirt scenes, and our first Director/Overseer CG! While a smaller release due to the compressed schedule, we still have some goodies, and we've set things up for the rest of the Director scenes which are on the way (Schen Scientists currently in progress). v0.23.0 is now up for Patrons! This release marks the completion of Specialist 'Flirt' stage relationship scenes...if a lot of stripping and masturbation counts as flirting, at least. I may be fuzzy on the subject. Double update tonight! v0.22.1 is now free on our , while v0.23.1 is now up for Patrons! This release marks the first work on the Exploration Missions feature, which will probably be taking most of the effort for the next few months. These updates are going to include a lot of functionality that only partly works until it's all finished, so I definitely recommend for the full breakdown of what does and doesn't currently work with the new Mission Selection screens in the latest release, or from a few weeks ago which explains exactly what Exploration Missions are. While I'm working on that, our art team continues with Director CGs and background shots, so there should be some fun smut to keep folks happy while I work away at the code. Patch notes follow:

Game Functions:
  • The Tension cost of tier 5 Department scenes has been reduced to zero. This is a temporary adjustment so that all scenes are available in a single playthrough without cheats, and will be restored once additional sources of increasing Tension have been added to the game.
  • Once Exploration Missions have been unlocked via Specialist relationships, the 'Launch Mission' button will now appear in the Office. This will take you to an example mission launch screen, this is for demonstration purposes only at this time. Hey all, letting you know that v0.24.0 is now up for patrons! We get more into the Missions part of development, with the Mission Selection set of UI screens now fairly complete. You can now see how selecting a team will work, with the only missing part being that there are not yet any actual missions to populate the info boxes with. We also have a new Maelish CG from artist Suki! Our next focus will be on the UI for the Missions themselves, but this may take several update cycles to finish. In the meanwhile I'll be working on some Hellfire content as well, and perhaps filling in the codex a bit, so no releases seem too empty. Being a holiday release, this cycle is a bit of a random assortment, before I get back to focusing on the Exploration Missions for the coming releases. Every release gets us a little bit closer, and I'm hoping for 2019 to be the year in which Carnal Coup is officially complete. Missions will take a few months, as will the followup Specialist relationship content, but once that's out of the way I anticipate the end-game sequences to be relatively quick. So, little later with the most recent free update, due to a weekend of illness - but v0.24.1 is now free for the public at the ! v0.25.1 is now up for Patrons as well, and features some additional Hellfire content, although the focus was on the code side of things, and will continue to be for the next few months most likely. I will be keeping some non-code updates coming though, which you can read about in the . We already have a couple of art items queued up to go -it's a short month, and with the brief delay the next update is right around the corner.

This release is primarily notable for finishing off a coding sidetrack I've been stuck on for the past month or two, freeing me up to focusing again on some more new content. v0.27.0 is up for patrons today, featuring a nice chunk of new artwork in our Directors/Overseer series. There's also been a decent amount of code work done, including a fix for one potentially mean bug that may've hit anyone who played the last version, v0.26.1. Can for more details on all that. Next upcoming release should include at least one new text scene, and it's probably about time I started making some actual mission content to go into this Exploration Missions feature. We're getting well into Exploration Mission code and content at this point, and we now have something at least marginally playable in that area, if not exactly pretty at this time. We're also going to be able to use this as a springboard to start on getting serious in the Specialist romance plotlines, so you can expect to see more of that in the near future. Game Functions:

  • Some basic Exploration Mission functionality added. Only Grunt's loyalty mission exists at this time.
    • The mission selection screen can now pull relevant information from mission sets.
    • When choosing a loyalty mission, the relevant Specialist will be locked in on the Specialist selection screen.
    • Advancing through a mission will pull encounters, displaying the encounter text and an enemy NPC profile. Special abilities not yet implemented.
    • Each encounter has an 'Easy Way' and a 'Hard Way', stat requirements are now shown on the selection buttons, and buttons will be disabled if team stats are not high enough for that option. If both options are too difficult, fleeing and trying with another team composition may be required.

Known Issues:

  • TTS dialogue cannot be interrupted once begun. May have issues if triggered on multiple screens at once. TTS support is 64-bit Windows only.
  • WebGL Issues: Be warned that save game data in WebGL mode is less permanent than PC standalone. May also be more prone to memory and other issues.
  • If trying to quit with the options screen up, the Quit window appears behind the Options window.
