That's... that's impossible! Lumarin, if I didn't know better, I'd be tempted to think you cheated somehow. I've been trying to make it onto the leader board for the past week or so now, and I still can't break 40,000! What's your secret?

Practice, Practice, Moar practice, and some damn good reflex gained FROM that practice.

Seriously, I've been trying forever now practically. Maybe once or twice a day(missed a week or two in there though) for the past 4 months...At least it makes for good fapping too. XD.

But you're right, once it hits the higher numbers they begin to get really really REALLY close to each other. This is when strategic use of the flame is needed(or moving backwards just enough that they gain enough distance from each other to let you pass). If you use more than one flame before 40,000. You're not doin it rite.

Because bad guys stop coming when you stop moving. So it's just about how late you take the screenie.

Although at 90 000 I would expect the place to be plastered with enemies. I might have to pick this back up.

The place was plastered with enemies, there were like 7 of those little green fliers and a purple ghost on the left, but they moved their way across the screen as I died and hit the screen shot button furiously.

Wait a second... in that screenshot, the green guy is in the process of doing his finish animation, and as far as I know, you stop losing energy once that animation starts! You shouldn't have been able to die at that point!

Seriously though, I'm assuming he finished right after you lost your last sliver of energy, or somesuch. It actually happened to me a couple of times. But don't get comfortable, because I'm normally pretty good at these types of games, and I will beat your score someday.

...probably.

I one hundred percent agree with this statement. The only thing is, the overwelming amount of enemies makes me too nervous, and I start firing all three of them around 44-45 thousand.

Bad idea, you see, when you're that far, it's time to start moving back and forth so that you get gaps large enough to get past them...unless it's something that won't move to give a gap, like 3 green fliers, each at a different height.

Right now I'm trying to beat my score, but I keep getting caught at the 85K mark.

I noticed that at a certain point, when you're trying to struggle free from a tentacle, clicking it at an extremely fast pace won't reduce damage. There seems to be more of a minimum damage rather. You have to take this amount of damage from an enemy before breaking free. I propose we make a chart of these minimum damages.

Unless of course my theory's wrong, which chances are it is.

Well, I took Lumarin's advice, and also had the brilliant realization that perhaps always going at top speed wasn't helping me avoid getting hit. (I'm smart!) It's not as epic as a lot of you at the top, but I think it's respectable enough for somebody who's relatively new to the Gauntlet Mode.

the trouble I'm having is I get too wrapped up in the game and fending off the attack that when I die, I don't have the speed to pull away from defending myself to getting an immediate screenshot

I was so surprised I got hit and died, they chain hit me in the face, o.0, guess this replaces my latest try.

Also, I've found that moving far back enough will actually despawn the stuff ahead of you, so it's actually possible to move forward just enough and then back far enough that it's entirely possible to never encounter a single enemy that requires you to use the flames until the very very end.

Gonna try to get into that cave, see if it acts like the normal game, or if that's just the end.

Be back in a couple hours if I can beat it, else I'll try again in the morning.

Usually when playing, I instead use faps.
