Yes, if you wait a few turn the "fight" will start.
Also there are two endings with a different scene that you can choose from

You need to Indulge and choose the form you want her to finish you with.
If you Entrust yourself to her, she will instead OTK you with her paizuri

There's no option to choose after selecting Indulge for me though, weird

I am seriously stuck on ex3 :( On the battle with the fairy queen / Butterfly woman? People have said you need to redo Sphinx's memento battle, which i've done (Both won and lost) but when I go back to fight the butterfly nothing happens and I still lose. From that save point I can't get back to sphinx either -_-'. Can anyone help out?

The bit where you need to do Sphinx's memento is right after the fight with the fairy queen. Right before the battle with the fairy queen you should get two choices prompt, pick the bottom, then the top one->She should transform->Battle starts (if you pick bottom choice twice you get an extra loss scene, with its own choices).
Back to the battle: keep Sylph Storm and Hell Break active all the time to be on the safe side, when she disappears you can cast Wind magic to quicken her reappearance. Then simply pummel her.

Ah ok, i'll give that a try. Thank you so much for the quick response :p

Edit: I feel like the fight is just too hard. As soon as she grabs you it's GG, can't find any way of escaping from it -.-'

did not know about the wind magic for when she flying i always did the evasion move that cost 15 that makes all her attack miss do that for 2 turns and she show up again

Hey all, loving the game so far. So I'm in Archeny's spider lair and I just found the Diamond and discovered I can craft an Engagement Ring with it and a Silver Ring. Unfortunately, I sold the Silver Ring a while back because I got better equipment and didn't know it'd be useful later on. I went back to 1-1 to try to get another but I can't. Is there any way to find/buy another Silver Ring in the game or did I just inadvertently screw myself over? Can you marry without an Engagement Ring?

Also, is there any way to find/farm the gems without having to buy a crap ton of Magic Rocks? I'd love to upgrade the sword. For example, I went back to 1-2 to get Emeralds from Lampas but I couldn't find any (aside from the ones in the timed room, but I can't fight those). I'd like to upgrade the sword, but I don't want to endlessly grind Magic Rocks either.

There's only 1 Silver Ring in the game, unfortunately. The only way you can get another is in NG+, or the vending machine in Post-Game which has all the missible items from the Chapters.

For the gems, there's not really any way other then farming them during the regular game. In Post-Game: Befriending Hyakki will give you ten of each jewel, if I remember correctly.

Thank you for the swift reply. That's unfortunate about the ring. In the Post-Game, can I buy another ring even though I sold the first one and will that still allow me to craft the Engagement Ring? I really don't want to start another play through (12 hours in rn) just over a little mistake like this. And as for the gems, do they have to be farmed while playing their respective chapter the first time around or can you replay a chapter to farm gems? Thanks for the help!

Yes to the first, and NG+ is *very* fast depending on what you did the first time around (only about an hour or two to get back to 4-2, roughly). For the gems, all chests can only be opened once, and only refill on NG+. Some of the enemies drop gems/stones, but I don't know which ones drop which.

That's extremely helpful, thank you very much! If I can't make the sword until the Post-Game then that's fine. Is the NG+ just bosses/events then? Also, does NG+ "tie in" to your original play through? As in, you'll have the same items, weapons, friendship levels, etc.?

NG+ keeps all friendship levels from your original playthrough, making attempting the True Mercy Ending much easier if you missed it the first time around. It's been a while, but I think you lose all weapons and items. This is really only a minor inconvenience, because in exchange you get access to the NG+ shop, which contains a bunch of really powerful items, especially the almighty Infinite Magnum, which is incredibly powerful and helpful for the EX Worlds, making it definitely worthwhile to do.

Awesome, thanks again for the info! Hope I didn't bother you too much with the questions. I've gotten all friendships available so far and back tracked a couple of times to unlock some characters and items I missed, but this is the first time I needed to know something that I couldn't already find (I tried to search this already before I asked to avoid redundancy).

Uhh has anyone talked about this yet? It's untranslated so I don't know exactly what's going on, but what's with the Monster Girl Quest logo at the end? Are they doing a crossover for EX4? I mean that's amazing if that's the case, cause it's both my favorite H-games.

If I had to guess, it may be the other way around. (MGQ Paradox getting a SHRIFT dungeon)
Because there was ALSO A MGQ logo in the post game area of the new Three Charms game that came out recently.

The whole plot of Paradox is about how the MGQ world is falling apart as it keeps overlapping with other timelines and dimensions, so I'll bet at the climax of the story that leads to forming connections with completely different franchises besides just alternate MGQ timelines. So one of those Paradox hole dungeons but filled with monsters from other games, possibly with exits into mini-dungeons based on those games.

I wouldn't really think too much into the possibilities and expect something grandiose, the crossover is happening with SHRIFT's game engine so it's quite likely SHRIFT's dev is doing all the work. MGQ doesn't really have a dedicated artist it's a massive assortment of artists, and to that end I imagine SHRIFT will be doing the art for any characters from MGQ. Additionally, Desu the creator of Monster and Girls is also partaking here, and he does sprite H, so it's unlikely we'll see his artwork in here either. It's quite likely the story and characters are all still going to be very close to SHRIFT's style and tone of the story, which is fine just seeing the other two boys is cool and I just really wanna fight Chersire anyway after that cliffhanger. Expect something you'd see from Shrift is what I would say.

I would honestly prefer that. I love MGQ, but Shrift's Battle Fuck system is much better imo. I mean maybe it's not a good comparison because both games take a very different approach to battle, but the fact that Shrift's girls and h-scenes are fully animated gives it the win. Also if this means we might battle a character from MGQ in Shrift, that'd be something else.
