So I am using chii trans and I am following the steps to translating the game, but I am not getting the right context described in the .txt file. I am trying to use it for the second time, but nothing pops up now.

you talk about 571D ?

you normaly get it easily in chiitrans

- you correctly installed the plugin ? you see the jap text of the game in cliploger ?
- you correctly hooked cliploger and not the game ^^ ?

but if you use chiitrans, the use of cliploger is not a obligation (cliploger has make for VNR because he need a true hook to be fully fonctional or to have a log of the text)

with chiitrans, you can just configure him to get the text from the clipboard :

and he will get the text that the plugin send to the clipboard, without using cliploger

is the plugin is correctly installed ? = if you launch cliploger and the game, did you see the jap text apear in cliploger ?

if not, reinstall the plugin with the patcher in my signature

Yeah, I followed the steps to installing the plugin. In chiitrans, I was not able to get any jap text when using cliploger.

even activating the clipboard option in chiitrans ?

you dont need cliploger with that option activated normaly

I activated the clipboard, but nothing showed up.

I got it to show up in cliplogger after the 3rd try.

Now I just need to get it to translate to english with VNR.

Not sure if the videos for VNs will help with games since the threads of text isn't showing up in the text settings.

hi, so you go from chiitrans to VNR ^^

if you see the jap text in cliploger, you have correctly installed the plugin, that one things OK ^^

now you need to hook VNR to Cliploger, and not the game, then you will see in the text settings the threads 571d appear (dont forget to select UTF-16 =)

Yeah, I was having issues getting chiitrans to work at all.

So, to hook VNR cliploger I just load that instead of the game?

I did that, but the 571d is empty.

i will try to explain thing simply

- for now close vnr

1 - let look if you have correctly instaled the plugin cliploger

- launch cliploger
- launch the game

if you see jap text from the game in cliploger, all ok (dont close them)

2 - launch vnr

- go in "preferences" (right clic tack bar icon, or "cog" icon in vnr)
- here go translation=>translator, and check "microsoft bing.com" and "google.com", so vnr will use those 2 translator online (offline translator need to be installed to be able to be used by vnr, like Atlas, if you want to use it in the future)
- close the preferences windows

3 - now, you need to hook vnr WITH cliploger, NOT the game

- launch the "game wizard" : task icon right clic or "magnifying glass" icon
- here, next
- "select the windows of the runnning game" => next
clic on the START button, and select CLIPLOGER (not the game) =>next => next => next => next

- here the wizard will be at the "select the text thread" step, in the dropdown list, select UTF-16
- go in the game windows and hit F5, that auto restart the game, and you will see that vnr will found 2 to 4 text thread
- look for lstrlenW 571d UTF-16 and check it then "commit"

here normaly you have all configured, go in the game and see if you got the translation from vnr (he will translate 2 time in 2 color, one bing, one google )

next time you want to play, no need to make all that again, now vnr will know cliploger, you just have to :

- launch vnr
- launch cliploger
- launch the game

hope that will help ^^ vnr is very simple to use after you get on it, but sure the start can be triky, specialy on a MV game XD

if you have already hooked VNR on cliploger on something else than 571d by error, you will need change that in the text setting

- launch VNR
- launch cliploger.exe (vnr will auto hook him)
- launch the game.exe
- open "text setting"
- go in the game (hit F5 or play until some text appear)
- 571D will appear in the text setting, select it as "dialog" "save"
- play

i hardly see how to explain it more simply

Edit : Bing dont works rigth now in VNR, so make sure to have google checked

K, I tried the first one and I am still unable to get the right one. It appears that the issue may be that I am connected to the internet and syncing my settings to the previous users.

I was able to do it, but I just chose a random text thread and it worked.

Now, how do I get the scene with the aristocrat for Iris? I got it for the princess and the elf, but the mansion keeps rejecting Iris.

How long when use first scan? for me it keep searching like an hour and no progress

Use the fast scan option and set it to 4. It still takes a while.

IMO you should ditch CE for the save editor.

little stuck in the princess section. I know that with the first brother you can submit as a maid, or resist, fight his guards and brainwash him.

Does the second brother have any other options? All i can seem to do is knock on the door, catch him hypnotising his sister and duke it out with a pair of angels.

I finally worked out how to beat them, and now I'm wondering if there's another way to discover his secret.

Well, I'm getting the "width" error as well... all over the place.
MV has some serious speed errors, especially with transitions.
I love the art style in this game, but with the rampant crashing, it's practically unplayable.

I don't recall any crashes and the only speed error I had when was trying to set CE to double-speed to move faster. Which resulted in me dropping to half-speed instead.
