One more occasion where the following sentence is true and literal in serious sense: "H-games industry is serious business".
 
Well I am not surprised. Another one bites the dust. Also I am not sad at to the patreons of this creator getting the short end of the stick. He has made no update, nothing for years. They just keep on giving him money for NOTHING. Honestly if a single game development on a patreon takes more than few years with nothing to show for what do people think will happen? Lets face it there are many patreons, so called big ones, who have not gotten any considerable content update through the years. But this increases my appreciation of the patreons such as sourjelly and combin action, no matter what you think of their games they at least finished them.

Weren't we still pretending like he didn't outright cancel the whole thing, and was just (supposedly) having trouble with his artist? Is he not even pretending to salvage the thing, or maybe, simply, look for a new artist?
I mean we all know that the whole thing is dead in the water, if not a total scam from the start, but him already talking about "new projects" after people have been wasting money on this heap for YEARS is just a new level of shameless. Dude can stop making videogames altogether for all I care.
 
He is not realy talking about new projects. Right now he wants to release Divine Arms in form of a prologue. After that (if it really happens) he will create different games.

You mean other then him averaging 20 updates a year on his project, maybe before you mouth off you make sure your accurate first Slick. Point one he only gives development updates to his paying Patreons or could always look at his twitter feed. (which btw includes a Functional Game play demo in the last Year, again you have to be Patreon or watch his Twitter feed to know).

I hope all those DEVELOPMENT updates with 4-5 newgrounds level of animations were worth you money. But hey it is your money.
I had no idea people paid good money to this patreon for a half finished game demo. Or paid to see him make non hentai games. If he wanted to make non hentai games in the first place he should have stated.

Dude, I joined his patreon recently to make sure that things there were as I expected. I don't think stuff that he was posting for his patreons were worth the money he was given. As I said: half of that should never be behind the paywall or should never be posted at all. Demo was functional but completely barebone. If you think one such demo is enough for the two years of development, think again. I have friends that are required to make such demos for the semestral projects (minus CGs). Lets face it: the guy screwed up with the publishing schedule and now is facing not only quiting of his only animator but is also facing public backlash for lack of visible progress. He didn't even had to publish functional demos - all he had to do was to publish some form of working animation in .swf format. He decided to publish mostly screwed up gifs (CGs in gif format - what kind of idea is that?) and stills of low quality/resolution....and lots of promises and ideas that most likely won't be done, ever. He made himself a rope and is close to hang himself with it.

People need to be more critical of others or we will never leave the a-hole that is Patreon development scam-fest. If people were more critical, they would point out the bad stuff and this guy would probably be saved from this situation because he would most likely see what can and will go wrong. Now, thanks to the self-adoration ring, this guy is quiting the scene. Congrats, lord Nurgle would be proud of such decay!

And you sound like you have vested interest in this scamy patreon. Is he paying you? Is this account your second account?
Because I also have faith that people are not as gullible as you are, that they do not keep having faith in scam artists. But like I have said it is your money you can burn it anyway you want.

Yes, people might be salty because of that. They might be salty also because they don't like to throw their money at someone without a very good reason. Jeez, how many times have we repeated this kind of talk?
Also, the reason why the world is going to shit over and over again is because people use faith, not logic, as their prime motivator. Faith in gods, Nature or other human beings - it's all the same. Look how well it worked out in this case ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
 
Time to unsubscribe from this thread then. I played the demo like 2 years ago or something and then forgot about it. Glad I didn't throw any money at them since seemingly no amount of money would've made them continue to work on the game.

To be fair, pure logic without compassion will also do no one good. Look at all the law loopholes and courtroom dramas. :D

Logic doesn't mean lack of compassion. More often than not, logic is more "good and just" than what people claim is "compassionate". Speaking of compassion - look how well it worked out without logic in Europe in the recent years. I don't even care about the another crime-wave in Germany, France or Sweden.
Logic also doesn't mean a complete lack of faith - I was talking about your prime motivator, not some ultimate truth. So, if his patreons would use logic, they would all see some weird crap going on at least half a year ago(I'm judging by what I remember from his posts on patreon). And they could act to actually help the guy by whipping him back into work.

As for the law loopholes and court dramas - they are mostly an effect of short-sightedness and lack of any afterthought. Logical engine wouldn't allow for any serious loophole, while smaller ones are "acceptable" and can be worked out. Maybe I'm making it a bit too much into an engineering stuff but all living beings are just a different kind of constructs after all...
 
The game looked fun and I've played some of the older games too. It's really too bad. Speak with your wallets people. End this Patreon bullshit with the power of your credit cards, lol. Many of these guys won't see a damn cent out of me. Empty promises and months and months of leeching. It's not stealing though, you pledged. Fool.

Personally, I'm glad I only lost about $40 total across several games before I swore off the patreon erotic earliest access shekel racket.
