What's with the "put a floodgate between the brook and your well" thing? XSI and garfield both did it, and neither of their designs were going to flood... and I've had *way* more interesting waterworks without leaving a floodgate in place and up most of the time. (Like a waterfall down 10 z levels into a populated dining room, and then a well in the room itself. I'll admit I stick a floodgate up near the brook when I remember to, in case I ever want to modify the thing, but the well has never been closed off from the flow.)
Is it just paranoia, or a holdover from behavior in previous versions?
I haven't looked at any of the saves, so... do they put up bars or a grate to keep creatures out of the well? That could be why there's a floodgate in there.
Besides that, sad to hear about the dragon's death, I should probably have fixed up 2 cage traps while working with the initial mechanisms.
... I just realized we might be waiting a while for Host to do his turn. I doubt he'll be able to run DF on a public computer.Notice: Have been banned from using my home PC for staying up most of the night posting. Thankfully the uni computers aren't my home computer, neyh neyh neyh. Time limit of one week from today.
