Bio: Alina Norte - "Aura" to just about everyone. Is a fairly typical sophmore at a small college. She plans to major in Botany, though she hasn't officially changed from general education yet. She'll get to it eventually, if she doesn't change her mind again. She doesn't spend terribly much time studying, prefering to read for pleasure when she can't find a good party. Or, more and more often recently, amuse herself in the Egg.

In the real world her sex life is... lacking. She's not a virgin, but she hasn't had a real boyfriend or even a one-night-stand since she left highschool. In the egg, she more than makes up for it, everything at least once and most things more often than that. After all, it's harmless fun. No pregnancy, no STD's, and even less expense then normal real-world precautions. And you get more and kinkier sex then you'd ever dare try in reality.

Appearance: Aura is a five foot six redhead with pale skin and freckles, with a smile like she's just pulled a prank and you're about to discover it. The carpet does in fact match the drapes, and is neatly trimmed into a thin strip. Her breasts are a little on the small side for some people, but sensitive enough that she doesn't really care what anyone else thinks of them. She usually wears glasses when she wants to look studious, though she only really needs them for reading the blackboard from the back of class.

Today she's wearing a navy blue miniskirt with a grey top, with plain white panties and a bra mostly intended to ensure she has some cleavage to show. She's wearing flip-flops, and has her glasses in a small purse that otherwise contains her wallet and a few essential personal care items.

It was any given Saturday for Aura. She was bored, a little horny, and there weren't any parties this weekend. Ideally, she could use the time to study and get ahead in her classes, but who the hell does that? Instead, she decided to head to her favorite recreation area, EGG Corp. She was a frequent visitor of the downtown building, knowing most of the staff in the entrance and the testing areas by name. She had even been invited to test a special 'realism mode' whatever the hell that was. She had of course accepted the offer and planned to try it out today.

Making her way to the testing room and hoping in the EGG capsule, a smiling tech, Jim, came in. "Ready to test out the new mode today Aura?"

When she gave her response, the EGG capsule closed on her, and the familiar screen with a number of options popped up.

Aura grinned at the tech. "Ooohhh... more then you'll ever know, Jim." She wasn't actually sure exactly what the setting did, but he didn't have to know that, and the opportunity to tease him a little could never be passed up on. Of course, he probably watched her sessions or even joined in as one of the enemies. The company claimed that wasn't possible, but the thought turned her on a little, so she assumed it was true.

The readhead climbed into the familiar machine and glanced through the settings. Nothing especially new or interesting. She enabled just about everything even if she didn't really like it, and turned the frequency of some of the kinky stuff up as far as it would go. The only things she disabled were things that would change herself. That could be interesting sometimes, but only if she was really in the mood for some role-playing. But at the moment, she was mostly in the mood for sex. The only one that she considered for more than a moment was slavery. It could be really... satisfying, and kinky, and it was a good 'consequence' for doing badly, but it could also take up half your session or even Bad End you. She tended to alternate back and forth between 5 and 1, but it had been a while since she'd actually ended up wearing a collar, so today she cranked it up and felt a little tingle of arousal.

Next she glanced at the level options. The glitched out entry at the bottom was intriguing, but it probably just wouldn't do anything at all. "Land of Tomorrow" sounded good, though.

And finally there was the difficulty. Aura's finger hovered for a moment over insanity. Then she remembered that she was testing a new mode today, and she wasn't sure exactly what it did. Probably something sexy, but she might not be able to really evaluate if she wanted to try it again if she spent the entire time getting fucked. Hard mode would get her satisfied quick enough, while still leaving some time not on her back.

After the hatch closed, Jim smirked as he monitored the settings Aura picked. A woman in a lab coat and high, black heels came into the room then. "Is she ready?" Asked the woman.

Jim laughed. "Indeed, she signed he waiver allowing us to test realism mode on her. She doesn't have a clue what she's in for though. She's gotten used to the way things work in the EGG, but now we'll see how she copes when she thinks these things are happening for real."

A trill laugh escaped the woman as well. "We'll see how if she's really a slut, or if she's just an escapist like the rest. Oh, and alert the nurse on duty that we are putting another subject through the Inception Project."

"Yes ma'am." Jimmy left the room, a grin on his face.



Inside the EGG, Aura had just finished selecting her settings when the screen flashed dark, a warning message popped up, reading: "ERROR: POWER FLUCTUATIONS DETECTED. ENTERING OCCUPANT SAFETY MODE UNTIL DANGER HAS SUBSIDED" The screen went dark again and Aura felt a little sleepy.

What seemed to be a short time later, the EGG screen lit up faintly, a new message flashed for Aura. POWER LEVELS CRITICALLY LOW, RELEASING OCCUPANT. HAVE A NICE DAY. The EGG slowly opened, and a date flashed across the bottom of the screen, only for the entire contraption to die a second later. Aura couldn't be sure, but the date had read : February 9th, 4013. That couldn't possibly be right, could it?

Regardless, she would have to get herself out of the half-opened EGG, and when she did, she would find the room around her quite messy and covered with dust. And were those vines growing under the door?

Pulling the door open, she would find the familiar EGG hallway, except now the building was in a state of ruin, trees, vines, and other plants all growing up out of cracked floors and crumbling ceilings. From her recollections, she could go right and that would take her closer to the buildings entrance, or left towards the nurse's office and a fire station, which had an ax.

For any who notice, I am borrowing this mechanism from Cdubbs, I think. At least I'm pretty sure it was one of his threads that had something similar to this to start with. If not him, then it was someone else. At any rate, this just seemed like one of the better ways to set up this scenario, so for whoever's idea this was, sorry for using it, but be flattered! It's a really good one!

Aura sat there for a minute, looking at the screen. Before she'd blacked out for a second, it had something about "danger" and "safety mode". Now it was giving more errors, and claiming thousands of years had passed. Obviously that corrupted setting entry had been a sign of larger problems, and other entries had been corrupted as well. Like the date.

And... Tim hadn't opened the Egg the rest of the way. She pushed it open herself, and was stunned by the sight. The redheaded student tried to rationalize it. An explosion of some kind could explain why nobody was with her yet, but not the plants. Maybe some sort of plant-based experiment? But why would that be here, and why would the attendants have left?

She climbed out of the device and tried to take stock of her situation. Her body, her clothes, her bag, anything else in the room. When she was done, still nobody had come to check on her. Something was wrong.

She peeked her head out into the hallway, and saw more of the same. Deserted, falling apart. Plants. Something was definitely wrong. And with those crumbling walls... Aura decided that getting out of the building quickly was a good idea. She went right down the hallway, intending not to stop until she was safely outside or she found someone who could explain what the hell was going on.

Walking through the building, there was definitely an air of menace to the place, and a prickly feeling on the back of her neck told Aura that she was not alone.

She encountered nothing on her trip through the building, despite her feelings, but when she reached the front, she found the once familiar reception area had been changed like all the rest of the building. Vines hung down from the once grand skylights, skylights that had long since broken, allowing birds to flutter in and out, and exposing the room to the elements. The same could be said for the wide glass doors, they had broken as well, and from the tree growing up through the concrete near the doors, roots actually reaching through the door frame and burrowing into the room, the glass had broken a long time ago.

Looking outside, she couldn't see much of the EGG complex courtyard, most of it was overgrown with trees and tall plants. Though she remembered it was about 100 yards from the main door, through the courtyard, to the main street that ran in front of the building.

There were other doors she could go through here that would lead her into other parts of the EGG complex, though she didn't really know where they would lead her.

Of more immediate concern was a rhythmic rustling sound that was coming from behind the receptionist's desk.

This was... really creepy. She'd definitely gone under in the Egg, but just as clearly this had taken more than the few seconds she'd assumed. It hadn't been minute, or hours, or days. There was still no possible way it had been thousands of years, but something must have gone badly wrong. People might be surprised she was still alive. That would explain why they hadn't come to wake her up.

There were so many things she'd have to do. Telling the government, her school, and her friends that she was still alive. Her dad! He'd be worried sick, or already mourning! No, keep it together. First you have to get out of here, and find people. Someone with a phone.

Aura gathered herself and called out, on the off chance that someone was close enough in the apparently long-deserted building to hear. "Hello? Is somebody there?" She took a few steps towards the rustling noise. Probably just a rat or something, but... "Anyone?"

If nobody responded, she'd have to go up to the desk and see what the noise was. If she was lucky, there might even be some explanation of what had happened. Or a computer that still had power and an internet connection, or at least the correct date!

There was no response to Aura's queries, and as she peeked over the desk, she saw a small, shiny, silver metallic orb rotating in place above the ground, the rustling come from it rotating against decaying plant matter on the floor. Abruptly, it swiveled and a red glowing circle, likely the thing's eye, turned to face her. "INTRUDER DETECTED INITIATING SECURITY PROTOCOL BRAVO ONE." It emitted this declaration in a low, but decidedly robotic voice.

Before she had time to react, a number of silver, metallic tentacles burst from under the leaves on the ground, one wrapping around each of her arms, and another around her waist. Despite her initial struggles, she couldn't break free of the strange, robotic construct. Had EGG Corp. always had such defensive systems? "INTRUDER: STAND DOWN AND SUBMIT TO CONTAMINATION SCREENING." The little ball seemed to be talking to her. Whether or not she listened was up to her.

Aura struggled against the thing for a minute, but seemed to be holding her pretty tight, and it looked like it could be dangerous if it needed to be. She tried to relax. Contamination? Robotic security? She knew that the company running the Egg had some of the most advanced technology in the world, and it stood to reason that they'd have some pretty tight security protecting it, but she'd never seen it in action before.

"Um... okay, I'm standing down! What contamination? What happened here!?" She couldn't raise her hands, but she stopped trying to break free.

Without further ado, three more metallic tentacles shot up, one for each leg, and another hovering ominously in front of her crotch for a moment.

Without much wait, it shot under her skirt and pushed her plain, white panties aside and started rubbing against her pussy, gently at first, but gradually forcing its way deeper and deeper inside of her. I figured I'd just do the standard EGG, lose the fight if you go down to 0 HP, or up to 10 AP. They both regenerate naturally, so if you talk to this thing for awhile, your AP will drop back down to 0, and if you had gotten hurt your HP would go back up to 5

Aura just stared at the wall for a few seconds. That thing had just...! She was going to sue the fuck out of whatever sick bastard was responsible! It had been the least uncomfortable violation she'd experienced - and she'd experienced a lot, through the egg - but this wasn't a game! It had seemed almost medical, even... but you still didn't do that to a person!

She pulled herself together again. And five metallic tentacles still wound around each of her limbs and her waist, keeping her pinned. It had apparently decided she wasn't a threat, so it probably wouldn't be... hurting her. She might as well take the moment to ask some questions. They all sort of came out at once.

"What are you? What happened here? What do you mean 'contaminant'? 'Non-combatant'? Where is everyone? What... what year is it? "

The robot thing was silent for a moment. "THIS IS A STATIONARY SECURITY PLATFORM. I AM THE AI SECURITY SYSTEM, DESIGNATION CHARLIE. EGG ARCHIVES ACCESSED: IDENTITY CONFIRMED, TESTER AURA, WELCOME."

It seemed the machine had somehow determined her identity, and that she had business in the EGG building. That was good. Its tentacles released her and retracted back under the foliage. That was better. The little red eye continued to watch her.

"I DETECT THAT YOU HAVE ONLY JUST NOW EMERGED FROM YOUR CAPSULE. ALLOW ME TO REDUCE YOUR CONFUSION. AS YOU WERE INITIATING YOUR EGG SESSION, POWER TO THE FACILITY WAS DISRUPTED AND THE EGG WENT INTO A STANDBY MODE AND ISOLATED ITSELF FROM THE REST OF THE SYSTEM IN ORDER TO PREVENT HARM FROM COMING TO YOU THROUGH THE EGG NEURAL LINK. THE ENERGY FLUCTUATION STILL DAMAGED THE EGG SYSTEM, CAUSING NUMEROUS GLITCHES, NAMELY A FAILURE TO RELEASE YOU UNTIL ITS INDEPENDENT POWER SUPPLY WAS NEARLY DEPLETED.

AFTER THE POWER FLUCTUATION, AN UNKNOWN BIOLOGICAL AGENT, DESIGNATION: TARFOLK, WENT AIRBORNE. IT SPURRED EXPONENTIAL GROWTH VARIOUS MUTATIONS AMONG LIFE ON EARTH. SINCE THAT TIME, VEGETATION HAS GROWN EXCEEDINGLY RAPIDLY, RETAKING MOST URBAN DEVELOPMENTS PLANET-WIDE. That was all... unbelievable. The redhead decided that this needed to be said. "I don't believe it."

And yet, she could see the jungle-like vegetation, the ruined building. Maybe not everything it said was true. Maybe there were still places where humanity held out. Maybe almost all the details were wrong. God she hoped some of those details were wrong. But the date... two thousand years would have left none of this place behind, but this looked about right for a few hundred, without much intervention from humans.

Aura tried to tell herself that this was better then a few thousand years, but it really wasn't. Everyone she knew was still dead and gone. As was most of the rest of humanity, if the robot was to be believed. She had to... she had to check. Peek outside, see if it was really just this one building gone to hell for some reason, some kind of incredibly elaborate prank.

"IT IS THE REGRETTABLE TRUTH MS. AURA."

The foliage covering the windows and courtyard was too dense to allow for a view of the area outside of the EGG complex. In order to ascertain the truth, she would have to either journey through the courtyard, or find an alternate exit from the building.

As she stepped closer to the broken entrance to the building, Charlie the security system had one last thing to say. "LOOK OUT FOR TRAPS AND BE WEARY OF HUMANS YOU DO ENCOUNTER. MANY HAVE BEEN REDUCED TO A FERAL STATE AND WILL LIKELY VIEW YOU AS NO MORE THAN A COMMODITY SHOULD THEY FIND YOU."

Outside, she could see two possible paths to get through the courtyard. One with lots of tall trees and shrubs, the other was a strip of tall grass, it was a little bit above head height, and it limited her visibility pretty severely. Still, physically speaking it would probably be easier to push through the grass. Ultimately, it was her decision.

The robots last words stuck with Aura. A 'commodity'. It sounded like he meant... slavery. She shivered, and tried to pretend that she didn't feel just a little bit aroused. She'd been enslaved easily a dozen times in the Egg, though it had been a while since the last one. Usually only a few hours or even minutes, but occasionally as long as a week and once for an entire session, more than a month of in-game time. It had always been sort of thrilling, but also not something that she wanted to do every time she went in. And to consider the prospect of spending the rest of her life that way...

She'd go through the trees, then. A little harder, but less likely that someone could ambush her. Just a little peek outside, then she could come back and consider what the FUCK she was going to do.

Venturing into the wooded area, Aura pushed herself through growth with some difficulty. It seemed to go on forever, the work and the mixed feelings, the anticipation and foreboding of what she would find when she made it to the end made it one of the longest 100 yards of her life.

She was panting lightly and sweating, wondering when she would reach the end. It came suddenly, she almost walked right out into a clearing before she caught herself on a tree limb.

Looking out, it was everything she had feared. Perhaps worse. Buildings all around were crumbling and decaying, trees growing up through them, or vines seemingly swallowing them back down into the Earth from which they had been constructed. The asphalt streets were old and cracked, trees and vines grew over them too, such that the street was more of a city park than an urban development.

Hearing a series of screams, she saw a feral-looking woman thrashing around in a net, being dragged by a rough-looking man in a set of furs. They weren't alone, three other men walked with them, two had clubs and one had a bow and arrow. These weren't men she had known in her time, there was something cruel about them, savage even. They definitely didn't care about the woman they had with them. In fact, as they were walking, one of the men whipped out a thick cock and rapidly worked himself up before ejaculating all over the woman in the net. The men just laughed and the masturbator just put his dick back in his furs and they all continued on their way.

The group walked into the remains of what had once been a movie theater. At this time, Amber heard a rustling behind her. Probably just the wind blowing the tree leaves. Except there wasn't any wind...

Aura wanted to go save the woman. Nobody deserved that! It confirmed her fears about the robot's warning and worse. They barely seemed human. But... there were three men. Armed. She was one woman, unarmed. All she would accomplish was putting a second woman into one of those nets. She made a mental note to stay away from the movie theater. And to find a weapon. There had to be something in the Egg building. A fire-axe, or something, if such a thing survived 300 years of exposure and looting... though perhaps the security system had prevented the latter...

She turned around, ready to go back, when she heard the noise. There was something in the trees. Aura considered abandoning the Egg building. There were plenty of others around she could try to loot. Only... those wouldn't have security systems that recognized her as friendly. And while there might be something in these trees, she had just seen something at least as bad out in the open.

The redheaded student decided that there was little point in being stealthy. Few animals would attack an adult human, and she didn't really know how to be quiet in a forest. Better to be ready for an attack instead, assuming it was a person or another robot. And to move quickly, back towards the robotic security system and possible safety.

Hearing a rustle followed by a buzzing sound, Aura swerved to the side and a wasp that was easily the size of her torso buzzed past her, narrowly missing her! Unfortunately, she wasn't able to dodge a second one that came from the side, stinging her in the leg before buzzing off and landing on a nearby tree. The sting to her leg wasn't bad, it didn't hurt too much, especially considering the size of the stinger. However she did feel a strange tingling that she wasn't sure what to make of.

A second later, she noticed a large fallen branch on the ground, she might use it to try and beat back the wasps with, or she might consider it a better idea to just keep on trying to run back to the EGG corp building. Either way, the first wasp was coming around for another pass, she needed to decide quickly.

Seeing the speed which the wasp moved, Aura doubted that she could outrun it over open ground, much what through the thick near-forest she had struggled to walk through minutes ago. On the other hand, she also wasn't sure how well she was going to be able to fight.

But she couldn't give up without a fight. She grabbed the fallen branch and swung it as the first wasp came in for a second go, hoping that a good smack would discourage it. If not... maybe running out of its territory would. She might not actually be able to outrun it, but maybe if she just went far enough it would give up.

The sting had her a little worried, though. It didn't hurt... it tingled in an odd sort of way. Maybe the poison was already in her, and it was just numbing her. If so, there was nothing she could do about it.

It was unlikely that Aura would be able to outpace the wasps, so she picked up the fallen branch and used it to defend herself, successfully beating off the first wasp for a moment, however it buzzed back at her, distracting her momentarily and allowing the other wasp to sting her again. She felt a little tired, and the tingling was becoming a little more persistent. Both wasps were buzzing in the air around her.

The stings were... doing something to her. She felt sluggish, and spikes of sensation ran through her body. And though her blow had connected, it didn't seem to have done very much. Another few stings and she'd be done, and even before then it would be harder for her to run or fight back. Another few whacks on the wasps like the one she had just done... and from all appearances they'd still be attacking.

But what was the alternative? Wasps weren't going to accept surrender, and they had been the ones to attack her. She had to win, or escape, or... God, she'd have survived hundreds of years only to die from a bee attack. That couldn't happen. She waited for the next swooping attack for another swing of her branch, and in the mean time tried to move as quickly as she could through the foliage.
