people like us who consume stuff like this would commit social suicide when we talk about this stuff in public. so who cares about religious people thinking that we're evil?
talk to a normal woman about that you like to play/read/watch stuff where women get raped... and they will tell you, that they're offended by it and probably add some insults, too.
i've tried it. the argument that this stuff isn't real doesn't work with the feelings of normal people. they still think that you're a rapist that hasn't had his outing yet.
considering the fact that we laugh at misery (abstract or not) is enough for almost every other person to consider us evil (or even dangerous) anyway and you might be supprised how many people mix fiction and reality together. for them, its the same: "if you like to watch a comic girl getting raped, its the same for real girls"
and in a democratic point of view we are evil... or just lets say we're corrupted and insensitive due to consuming too much weird shit.
there is no way to talk oneself out of this.
imagine getting this whole subject to a public audience like we feel that our "sexuality" or our favorite kind of entertainment is being suppressed by society and we have a right to watch anime girls getting sexually tortured and we want to live this openly. i bet this whole homophobic gaybashing thing would cool down a bit
