Figured things would go faster since he doesn't have to create a new level or multiple enemies per stretch, just the fighters, which ironically aren't themselves really all that special. I mean, they're definitely nowhere near anything like Fairy Fighting. So it's a weird place to grind the development speed to a halt, I imagine things would zoom by and then maybe take a while when he has to actually design a whole new region with multiple enemies per stretch and possibly a mechanic system (like the loli zombie whatever thing).
Ah well, I guess I'll check back in at the start of next year, lol.
