Hello, this is a placeholder to let people know I'm translating .

I just saw that an AI translation of this game was released yesterday; there was none when I picked this game up 3 months ago.
For those curious, the other translation only covers the text found within the RPG Maker files, so most of the UI, tutorials, and other elements are still in Japanese. It also has typos, text clipping, and other issues you would expect from an AI translation.
It's funny because it says it's a partial patch when it does the complete opposite of an usual partial.

My translation is better, but the AI one has two things over mine:
1) It lets you give the MC a 6-character name (I don't know how to do that)
2) It has multilingual support. I only translate to English.

Just wanted to address it before someone points it out. I don't mind AI translations at all, and I'm sure many will be able to enjoy the game with that translation.

Anyway, I didn't post about this translation before because I wanted to translate all the images and at least one H-event first, which took three months.

As long as the game is actually referering the actor name, anytime it is used in a player-facing way(like in dialogs etc), and not just have the name typed out with normal letters, it should be fairly easy. There should be a command called "Name Input Processing..." (at least that is the name in RPGM MV, if it uses a different version it could maybe or maybe not be called slightly differently), that you would just have to call to allow the player to change the name of the character (Again in MV for some reason located under "Scene Control"), and it should automatically be filled in with the default of whatever the actors name is before it is called, for the people that are not good at coming up with their own names for characters (I am very much one of those), not to be confused with the "Change Name..." command under Actor, which is a static rename of a character, that the player does not get to choose.
That is the basics really of letting a player rename an actor in RPGM, pretty simple, ofc it assumes the specific game doesn't do a a bunch of weird shit with the actor's name otherwise.
Also depending on the Engine version, there might even just be a option when adding the "Name Input Processing..." to the code, that lets you change the length of the input allowed (6 character is VERY short for English, so if it is a version that allows that, and you actually do it, I would highly recommend allowing probably at least 10-12 characters or more.
