Re: Katawa Shoujo

Finished Shizune's route last morning, before going to sleep.
With that, I have now finished all routes, and seen almost all events (with the exception of two in Hanako's route, gonna search for them now).

Now that the game is basically over, I feel kind of sad. It made me laugh, cry, suffer, smile, and now it leaves that feeling like when you finish a good book, a good game or a good series.

Nevertheless, I was really enterteining, and I fell in love with Lilly.

Witch is bad, I don't fall in love with a fictional character since Tsukihime. It's not healthy.

Lilly's route did seem quite longer than most others, and my heart was wrenching in agony like none of the other routes did.

And for you, people? What girl affected you the most, if at all? (Perhaps I'm the only crybaby around. Happens sometimes.)

Wow, after hearing so much about this and listening to the plot, this sounds like an H game more concentrated on story and character development rather than just porn. And the fact that each girl has a disability might actually help some people understand how people who suffer from the disability and how it effects their ability to establish good relationships.

Well, most of the really good Visual Novels are praised for their stories rather than CG most of the time.

Fate/Stay Night for example .- . or almost everything by KEY (I watched AIR anime and it got me to teary eyes, and my friend told me the VN would probably make me sob with tears rolling)

VN? I hate abbreviations. OH! There was also Tsukuhime... or something like that.

Anyways, finished one plot line. I acted like I would normally do in real life and I ended up with the energetic girl without legs, Emi. Probably liked her because she was always so encouraging to Hisou and complimenting him despite her own problems. That's all I'm saying, no spoilers. :p But it was great X3

Anyone knows what is the last picture in the gallery?
I saw all possible routes and got 100% in the library, but I do not have the last pic in the gallery.

@Cappy
Getting Rin's route is actually kinda difficult.

Simple walkthrough for each.
(Side note: The Lilly route he has posted says there are no different endings. This is untrue)

Played through another route. In my opinion Rin's is still the best. :)

Re: Katawa Shoujo

The pdf file posted before seemed much more accurate.

And finished Hanako's! I couldn't help but cry. I'll admit it. I think I connected with her better than Emi. Also, in a way she reminded me of my ex, she had scarring on her body as well (not from a fire but from a skin disease) and she was always self conscious of her beauty as well. She was exactly the same person I fell in love with in real life...... only difference is my ex turned out to be a cheating bitch slut that had been sleeping with other guys behind my back. So other than that factor, Hanako was perfect for me! Hisou explained his feelings exactly the same way I did and felt for her (my ex... maybe this is something I should be alarmed about? I don't know. But it reminded me of everything that I had loved about her... still do. *sigh*)

@Sponge

The other is more accurate. but this one is a lot smaller/simpler and still gets you where you want to go. Doesn't matter to me which one anyone happens to use though. :)

Also I'm sorry to hear that happened. But everyone has their own minds and while we have contempt for others, we should never hate someone no matter how much they deserve it. Although I'm sure you know this.

Anyway. Peace, friends.

I hate to say this, but Visual Novels shouldn't need walkthroughs (Except maybe for some bonus "Threesome" scene or something). While the dialogue and feel for this game is absolutely brilliant, the fact that you can't decidedly make a move for particular characters NATURALLY kind of detracts from the experience.

If anything, my input is that this game should be more blunt about decisions, subtlety is nice, but too much just makes things confusing. In this format, I'd almost say that it would be better for there to be a set story you can read for each character, rather than have it as an interactive novel. Almost.

It actually isn't hard at all figuring out how to get on four of the five girls paths. The choices are usually pretty obvious, like going to the place a certain girl will definitely be. The only hard one is Rin.

Well I honestly don't like reading something that's heavy in romance, just to come to a sad conclusion because I wasn't able to read the subtle hints or social interactions, or just my own plain stupidity. With Hanako, I almost chose "To trust myself" and I would of gotten a cruddy ending. That would of sucked. T_T

Re: Katawa Shoujo

I got used to VNs enough to make a new save for every choice.
(Unless there are way too many choices...)

I kind of suffered a bit, getting the bad end on Hanako's, Rin's and Shizune's routes on the first try.
(Tough, Shizune's was obvious I was making the wrong choice, but I still had to do it...)
So, I guess my natural choices ended up being poor choices.

Getting into Rin's route was kinda hard, since you must actually not have been nice enough with the other girls instead of simply having been nice to her.

But overall, I think the game was fairly easy for the most part.

Re: Katawa Shoujo

I think the game gives you obvious hints for you not to screw up, at least that was my experience with Emi, Hanako and Lilly.

I am fairly glad not to have seen a bad ending yet. Lilly's good ending seems to be bad at first and I was right about to smash my laptop against the wall. Really, I was pissed.
On the other hand, maybe I delved into the story a little to deep...

Soo, by looking at the chart (Thanks To Eye), i must not choose any (Character ''+'' options?) but isn't one actually impossible to chose? (Cold War)

Well, If I understood correctly, choosing the "I did my part" choice only gives you a "Lilly -", and no "Shizune +", so you get on bad termos with both of them, mostly.

Re: Katawa Shoujo

Glad to see another thread about a not fap-focused game, and that it's getting kinda popular ^_^
Spend most of weekend on this and enjoyed 4 out of 5 routes - disabilities approach make it interesting and more original. Kinda reminded me of Family Project.
I vote for Rin as a best route,'cus it feels like you've really helping her and it is also the hardest one(not that the game itself was hard).I understand people in Lilly's camp, though, she seems like the best girl out of all in terms of long-term relationship =)
