Possible that people liked that it was more into cheating? or perhaps it was smaller so it was "easier" to translate, who knows.

Not really. HRPGheaven is like a translation illuminati who sell the translations to eachother and ban you if you even post them outside of there.
The person to thank is the one who leaks them onto /vg/ every now and then. This translation's been done for months, and this guy refused to share it unless you paid his website money. There's probably quite a few more games that are fully translated there right now, but the leaker only does staggered releases to not get caught and banned.

Like you thought, mainly the size. I had intended to translate the new game when it was released since it was fairly small, and the other games have been out long enough that I figured people would have been "tired' of them so to speak. I did the H-scenes since those are a huge pain in the ass, then stopped for about a month or so before working on the rest of it.

I'm mainly posting in response to the initial quote, but I suppose I'll respond in a way that probably sounds too much like I'm defending myself.
This translation was posted on that site exactly 1 month ago today, so it's not quite so extreme as being done for months. It's also not like I refuse to share them, I'm just too lazy to post it here. It's not a hard thing posting a link, but I don't particularly like uploading the files repeatedly, and my links on that site remain mostly untouched while the ones I've posted here tend to be reported and disappear after a few days to weeks. Because of that, I got tired of reposting. It's a small forum that's easy to navigate, and I don't have to sift through pages of threads to find something I posted since there aren't many people in that community. Most of the people on HRPG Heaven know that I'm fine with them spreading these files out. Frankly speaking, I'm a shit translator that can only do things quickly and get a broad grasp of what's going on, so I don't care if what I do is spread out or not. This is also why I don't put credits in the game; I do this for myself so I don't have to read Japanese if I want to play through a game, and if it's a completed product, then I can go ahead and post it for others to enjoy since it may be even harder for them to play a game. If someone decides to withhold what I post or stagger releases to prevent getting banned, then that's their decision. I post once, and rarely look back because I've got a translation that is good enough for my personal purposes.

As for the elitism thing, I can't deny that, but I don't post much on either forum, so I don't know much about the rift between the people of this and that forum. Can't be bothered. If I feel a sense of superiority in being part of one porn forum over another, then I've really got to re-evaluate my life. People being kicked from the forums, I think that's fine. They want to keep a small group of people who either contribute to that community or just plain don't cause problems or rifts between people. That's how they operate, and it works for them. People want to pay for that? That's on them. I don't pay, don't get affected by it, so don't care. Can't say I like the payment model for a lot of things these days, but since it doesn't affect me, then I won't bother complaining.

Much like torrent sites which have closed communities, a paid site tends to have fewer reported links, and less downtime over all. Since people are paying to keep the doors open. Limited access further means less shitty comments, in fact on hrpg heaven there has not been a shitty comment in well over a year to my knowledge. That means less work for moderators, less time spent dealing with bullshit, more time talking about the games or just not living in the filth that can be forums on the internet. Fact is Velociraptor Clint Thrust is well justified to not share his links anywhere else since in fact the translations are not made with the game creators permission in most cases and therefore subject to being removed for violations. Plus the translation was made without financial support so why don't you just stop complaining and enjoy the fact you got it to begin with. That or throw money at Clint Thrust since none of the money that supports the hrpg heaven forums are given to Clint for doing translations.
