Hate Thread


I hate when I just want to do a short, quick response and end up writing next Iliad (just shitload worse xD).
 
I used to be like you.
Just pick one or two points that offend you most and poignantly refuse them, brevity is a skill as well after all.
Then post porn.
Or if you can't find anything too disagreeable, just post porn.
Or do a workout.

Anyway, I've also had issues with the site not loading sometimes. It's happening less often now though.

Well that I get. I understand if there's a 100 to even 500 page thread, and wouldn't blame you for necroing. Hell, I'd probably do the same. But when there's a 5 to 20 page thread about a highly anticipated game that's been silent for a few months that gets necro'd for no reason, that's when I get pissed of. Especially when people asking for saves for really short demos that only take 10 min to complete, or there's a save file or dl link on the second page and someone was to much of a lazy ass to look.

That's fair. I get that. I think getting ''pissed off'' about it might be a bit of an overreaction. But I can understand why one would be annoyed by that.
I tend to just ignore those people. Or point them towards the page that contains what they want.

Think of it like this: You go in your notifications window, and you see that the "Kyrieru's new game" thread has been updated. You get excited. "Has Kyrieru finally released news on Noaika?" You go to the actual thread, expecting to be someone well known or Kyrieru himself with a long ass update post or at least something worthwhile, but instead it's some asshole who just signed up last week asking for a download link to the full game when all of us know that the game is no where near completion.

^This. It's not even about the anticipation of an update, but they're not even looking to see it's not out yet...

Again, I get it. Perfectly understandable. But to me it still seems like a silly thing to get upset over though. Some people are just like that. For many reasons. Maybe he's lazy. Maybe he's being an ass on purpose. Or maybe he saw the game, really liked it, and in his excitement just forgot to check if it's even out. Either way, no point in losing your nerves over them.
I mean, I have no more reason to get upset at that guy asking for a download than I have at anyone else for posting any other comment on that thread and then when I check it it's not a new update or any news about the game. Instead just some dude asking a question, or maybe expressing his hype for the game. That last example being something I'm very guilty of. :p
But like I said, I get it. I'm not here to change minds. Just sharing my thoughts on the matter.

I hate how American energy companies can double charge you or make up some crap numbers, then not have to pay you back when you call them out on it.

If I can help someone get a save or a link, I will. And I hope people would do the same for me.
I've said it before but I really hate the term ''necroing''. Man, it really puts me off ULMF how much people here have a problem with someone replying to an old thread. You don't see people whining about that on F95. So helpful those people.

And I too hate the new forum.

Necros frustrate me a little, but I accept them as a necessary evil. One time, some dude was getting blasted for necroing a 5-year old game. At the same time, I felt like I was winning the lottery because it turned out to be a really good game that I hadn't run into.

What does grind my gears? Lurkers popping out of the woodwork to make requests, when there's a freaking request thread stickied near the top! It's like all the downsides of necroing, with no chance of gaining anything in the process! And I mean, how hard is it to search "<game name> ULMF"?!
