Re: How has hentai benefited you in real life?

But how do you know? Society is different today. Women are actually able to speak out, and in most cases not be treated like a complete freak because of it. While I expect the balance will remain skewed towards men being "dominant" simply because that's how it's always been in most traditional cultures, there is nothing to say that there will be a percentage of women who will be able to choose a way of life by denying their biology (whatever that means) through sheer force of will.
Yes, but radical feminists are threatening that near equilibrium. People like Anita "Women shouldn't do what they want, but should do what is good for feminism, yes she actually said that" Sarkeesian seem to have an extremely lucrative career based on claiming everything from Tifa's breast size to the fact that women fall under "anyone" in games where you can kill anyone are oppressing her.

I mean, when you can make hundreds of thousands of dollars to make a video series, NOT FINISH THAT SERIES, and then get hundreds of thousands of more dollars to make ANOTHER video series all because you claim oppression, why would you ever admit that we've hit a state of near equilibrium?

Thus, I see two separate dangers. One, that radical feminists may keep the momentum on the feminist movement exclusive to female issues and push past equilibrium, and the other danger, that as we approach equilibrium feminist demands will become SO outrageous and SO difficult to satisfy that it convinces people that feminism is a fraud and creates a backlash that undoes the work real feminism has done.

I don't know for sure, obviously, but the effects of testosterone vs oestrogene, and the necessity of females to take a biologically nurturing role, even if for only 9 months will alway skew things a bit.

Dun get me wrong, I dun mind women in charge, I dun mind a dominant female in charge of.. err.r... anyway, not to derail..

I don't think an equilibrium possible, because people are not equal, genders are nto equal, on a biological basis alone, no matter what you do.

Well we can already see plenty of evidence of that all around the internet, in terms of backlash. Over history the movement has gradually only grown ever more accepted, and the people most opposed against it have always been the older traditionalist sort, that have objected to new developments that clash with the values they were raised with.

What we've been seeing in this decade, is instead a massed youth backlash, and not in relation to any specific development such as legal rights or social freedoms. That's something entirely new, and I'd say very significant as a marker of sorts for understanding the movements progress. Not something that should be misunderstood.

I wouldn't at all say there's any danger of actually "undoing" the work feminism has done though. Certainly hampering in some places, but these people aren't campaigning to remove the vote and make strict dress codes mandatory again. By large, they just want to play Super Mario without being told their game is sexist because it involves rescuing a princess.

Any car that's built up good momentum will jerk and wobble a bit before it comes to rest. Is all this is.

Re: How has hentai benefited you in real life?

It's benefited me in that I get to do what I love while doing what I love and I'm actually starting to make a career out if it.

I mean I always dreamed of making games for a living, ever since I was a little kid. Later, in my 20's, I got addicted to cyber sex and, later on, these hentai flash games.
Now I can put my passion of game making together with my (arguably unhealthy) addiction to hentai sex games and get paid for it.

That said, I have tried to make games before but I haven't had enough passion for it to complete anything until now. I think hentai has done that for me.
Well, hentai, RPG Maker, and God. I know it may sound strange but I'm a Christian and I believe God has set me on this path.

Yes, I know all too well that it's a rather strange path that's likely to take criticism from both sides.

Hentai is a porn with a good storyline for me, not like real porn from Brazzers: "Hey, I'm a plumber, let's fuck".

Met some very good friends because of mutual interest in it. Also semi-unrelated, but I learned to be a better writer and now (sometimes) have the confidence to actually write my own fiction.
