[tentative]This thread is meant to facilitate the creation of OPs (Opening Post in a new thread).
The current OP pointers/rules are notified there: https://ulmf.org/threads/your-op-must-contain-this-information-or-it-will-be-locked.12507/ (warning: there's a naked stickman in there).
As a TL/DR, an OP must:
- have a nice showcase pic.
Usually the cover pic from DLsite. If you have anything better, nice. If there's nudity in the pic, ask yourself thrice whether all the pictured characters are undoubtedly 18+.
- provide an objective overview of the game, both as a game and an hentai work
- answer “wtf is this?”, “htf do I play this?”, “what will I be doing 80% of the time I play this?” accurately
- list the H content, warnings if applicable, and its format (Pics? Sprites? Animations? Text-only?)
If you're posting here, you're either:
a) willing to create and update a thread for a game. You're enthusiastic about this game without a thread, but you lack the ability to create a proper thread (poor English, little understanding of the requirements, afraid your thread will be locked, etc.)
b) willing to provide a good OP for a game, but you know you wouldn't be able to update the thread (not that much of an interest in a game or its content, but enough sympathy to help out promoting the dev's work)
c) willing to help a) or b) – taking charge of b) wanted thread, or providing a) with the necessary corrections/materials.
d) you just want to have your OP proofread before posting. That's fine and commendable too.
Game discussion should be restricted to the game's thread. Here, is about helping to create these new threads, and having them of sufficient quality so they don't say “this game ain't worth the effort writing an OP 'bout it” to the community and the dev's face. "Japan sales only" is a tag that might be removed someday, if we show proper respect, in various way.
I could suggest starting your post like this:
<help> [title/RJnumber] = I want to create this thread. Please help me with the OP.
<op> [title/RJnumber] = I made this OP. Please create and update the thread for me.
<pr> [title/RJnumber] = I proofread and corrected your OP. You're good to go!
If you're asking for <help>, please provide the link to Dlsite and a cover pic, at the very least. A short explanation of the game and your feelings about it, would help attract helpers.
If you're helping, understand you're allowing the creator to modify your OP. Take no offence.
Remember to use \spoilers for readability, as OPs can get quite long. Also, run a RJ search in ULMF beforehand - you might have missed the thread.
