Re: In today's news...
If the House of Lords blocks it, they'll prove the leave party right, and it'll be political suicide. I'm gonna assume they are savvy enough to realize this.
I've been holding off the EU topic, partly from laziness, partly from feeling a tad... indifferent, all the BS going on either side.
Yah, there are two Political Masterminds in particular, one is known as Nick Clegg, who was the leader of the Liberal Democrats and former Deputy Prime Minister, lead his party of 68-ish Members of Parliament to... 8, doesn't like the result and is seeking to overturn it. Despite his own constituency having a 56% leave-vote.
...And Ed Miliband, good lord, same as above, lead his party into growing irrelevance, paved the way for Jeremy Corbyn, doesn't like the result and wishes to over-turn it despite his constituency having a 69% leave-vote.
Point being, you'd think that those who lecture the 'ignorant, un-wise and poorly informed people' (actually said by one figure or another of those who voted either-way, especially those who voted to leave) about democracy would respect the vote, and I do mean truly respect the vote, would act to make it happen and do the best they can to
get the best they can, even out of a situation that the Government literally had no plans for.
Reality ensues and it seems that certain individuals in higher-office who receive information in narrow channels still think they know better than the buggers who merely work in the streets, shops, docks and what-not to keep the UK afloat, or bits of it anyway.
Actual edit; Eh, above kinda lurks towards the lack of consideration and reasoning that seems to be lacking an awful lot during disagreements, a tad saddening.
