Jen opens the door to see the stairwell, with a sign that says "B-4: UP" posted on a nearby wall. Carefully she walks in and begins up the stairs. Without warning, the door to the lower floor slams shut, followed almost immediately by the sound of the upper door slamming shut as well. Then three large blobs of slime fall from the ceiling near Jen. They move toward each other and form into one massive blob. Jen, standing mere feet away, races to find a plan.

Jen started to panic. There was no way she could beat something that big: she would have to run. Carefully she starts to hurry up the stairs. If the thing caught up to her, she would try and knock it back off the stairs. Hopefully, the fall might hurt it even though she doubted she had the ability to do so herself.

Running up the stairs, Jen notices that a large door has closed at the top as well, shaking the door, she can't seem to budge it. She turns just in time to see the large mass of slime mere inches from her face. She slams into the door by the shear force of the slime hitting her, momentarily blacking out. When she wakes, she is on the ground near the door, with the slime on top of her.

No! No no nononononono! Jen starts to cry out as she tries to kick the slime off of herself.

Frantically kicking at the slime, she is surprised to find that even though it is slime, it doesn't flow terribly well. She is able to land a couple good hits on the slime, knocking most of it off of her. Able to stand, she quickly tried to figure out her next move.

Maybe... Jen thinks before attempting to kick the thing off the edge of the stairwell and fown to the floor below.

Jen swings her leg and connects - hard! The slime tumbles down the stairs, chunks fling off as it rolls down the staircase. When it reaches the bottom, it sits still for a moment. Jen hopes that she killed it, but to her horror it beginst to move again, recompiling into the massive shape. It beginst to trek back up the stairs.

Jen whimpers, watching as the thing comes at her again. Hoping that the fall had dealt it damage. She waits to attack the goo when it reaches the top of the stairs, hoping to do the same again.

(I hesitate to ask, but... crit hit and no damage?)

The good gets about three quarters of the way up the stairwell when it unexpectedly shoots at Jen again. Jen is quick on her feet, Sliding to one side and she watches it slam hard into the doorway. sliding down to the floor, the blob is moving much more labored then when it first attacked.

Not wanting to press her luck, Jen tries to draw the goo away from the wall so she can knock it off the edge again. Once she is no longer between it and the edge, she attempts to knock it sideways and off.

Taking a couple side steps, she tries to lure the slime near the edge. After she feels that she can get the drop on the slime, she acts, trying to knock it down the stairs again. It again rolls down the stairwell, splashing against the lower wall. The slime seems to turn to liquid, draining through some of the drains in the wall. After a moment or two, the door at the top of the stairs unlocks, swinging open.

(Don't we still gain back 1 of both types of points per action?)

With the door open Jen darts quickly through, not wanting to stay with the goo long enough for it to recover.

Jen takes a step into the hallway on level B-4. It differs from the previous floor in that it looks much mor sanitary and organized. The light is even a little brighter. Looking around, she sees a door to her west, the stairwell to her east, and the hallway that travels south.

Feeling more confidant now that the area seems more well used (And thus less likely to be infested by monsters), Jen starts moving south. She didn't want to risk being trapped in a room by the goo in the stairwell.

Jen travels southward, and she comes across a doorway to her south and a hallway to her West. Standing there for a moment, she wonders where to go from here.

Hallways... Hallways are safe. Jen mentally decides as she starts heading west.

Walking down the hallway, she sees another door to her south as the hallway continues west. Looking around, she sees a few boxes in the hallway, but otherwise it seems eerily quiet.

Boxes... Things can hide in boxes... Jen thinks before moving over to check the boxes, not wanting something in them to attack her when she has her back turned. The boxes having gotten her paranoid, Jen starts scanning the hallway with her eyes, even glancing at the ceiling at times.

(I am assuming you are searching the boxes?)

Jen opens the first box with the care of a bomb disarmer. when she gathers the courage to look inside, she is pleased to find an aluminum baseball bat. Picking it up, she decides that it might help fight the inefitable next encounter

(Baseball bat will add +2 to all combat rolls of yours until it is knocked away by a crit hit or a enemy binds your arms.)

Moving over to check the other boxes for creatures, Jen starts first by poking the boxes with the bat before trying to open the boxes with her bat if she can, otherwise she uses her hands. She still wants to make sure nothing alive is in the boxes before moving on.
