You really think there would be even half as much interest for these games if there wasn't a translation effort? "Based entirely on machine output" is also objectively incorrect. Dialogue is proofread and dictionaries are used to keep things consistent in the dialogue. Since it feels like people talking, it's clear there was a human hand at play. And yes, the translation effort is actually seeing financial returns for JSK considering his english DLSite sales have only been increasing over time.

The translation stuff done on JSK is mainly of the 'gray area'.

Ok, I've never been in comdotgame but, is the user suggesting that the translations come from there or just the fact that some games are uploaded there?

Downloads of homebrew versions on the mega repository vs. actual sales of the games on DLsite English. That's a lot of fans who don't pay anything, so sure you can convince yourself this helps JSK when the community "effort" is already acknowledged as a grey area and without his official backing. If he tells all of you to stop, good luck using the same arguments.

Hence it's a creative writing group. Translation requires accuracy to begin with. Those who play the games are so starved they'll take anything that passes for readable and those who contribute will pay themselves on the back thinking their skills are improving when they don't understand a language derisively called runic without machine help.

If skills are improving, the standards shown on the last page remain laughable. I see no effort to show how much improvement has been made based on the comments which were more relevant to the game's direction but weren't picked up at all.

And it's funny how japanese creators are always like that, the game is popular in japan, gets attention outside, then due censorship, racism, prejudge or any other reason that makes an official translation impossible people start making pirate releases and translations, the creators get mad because those games are like "muh children", and the cycle repeats itself

This doesn't excuse the fact that people are making money for ads in that kind of pages where they upload the flash file, those sites should burn

I respect the guy, and I would buy more games if DLsite allow you to purchase those kind of games via paypal, they really are worth, but come on, is the Tokugawa Shogunate still in power?

So it seems that we've been seeing a lot of these MTL discussions lately and I can't believe I even have to say this: The moderation team is fine if you want to talk about the merits of MTL versus human translations, but using it as a platform for insulting others is NOT what we are allowing you to do. Any further posts instigating the issue will be met with a 1 week ban.

And talking about the translation effort in this thread is not allowed, but it's also not strictly enforced due to how close the community effort is to the game discussion. In short, it's discouraged, but we're not going to get up in arms about it.

So, before things derailed, this new release is going to be a fighting game, I got the impression from the initial art and the title alone, that it was going to be a interrogation type, but its going to be a fighting type then?

I wonder how the combat is going to play out, I mean, MC has esper/PSI powers, what can the heroine do against that if it turns into a fight, assuming the fight system remains as it is?
Though I am not certain what kind of abilities the MC has to begin with, esper / PSI powers are not exactly my alley, but I guess those are some kind of telekinesis and mind bend abilities?

Anyone with more insight of esper abilities, my only experience on those comes from haruhi suzumia, and those weren't really well covered on that series to detail.

The protagonist from the future is an esper. The heroine is always bothering him about him "showing" his esper abilities, and in the end of the anime when he's doing crazy shit like flying it's esper abilities taken to the extreme limit.

Not at all imo. Certainly a good lover's prank in endless 1. The sensation overload when everything hits at once. Done some kinky stuff in my days but I don't think I could replicate that with any of my tools, at least not without a shit-ton of edging.

Not necessarily. The elf was supposed to have the largest breasts out of all his heroines, so people thought it would have a breast focus, but it really didn't.

JSK's favorite scenes are missionary and doggystyle though. In his KanColle free games, all those games are missionary only. In his earlier works the only scenes you could get were doggystyle and missionary. It wasn't until Imouto Sama Can't be Refused that he did a cowgirl scene I think. There's always at least 4 doggystyle positions and 4 missionary style positions in all of his newer games (Overthrow! The Demon Queen and later.) This time around it could be that there's 5 doggystyle and 3 missionary style positions though who can say.

People's expectations when he said big breasts were completely wrong when it came to the elf though.

for some context on false groping accusations in Japan. She's trying to shake down the protagonist for some cash most likely, and you have to worm your way out of it. The PSI abilities could have bits of mental persuasion. Ways to de-escalate her hostility towards you. Such as clouding her mind for a bit. Or more bluntly the time stop mechanic for ERO play. Anyway, it looks to be a fresh approach compared to his other battle games. Learning that suspected molesters have been killed fleeing authorities does raise the stakes a bit.
