Re: JSK工房 Hgames Thread
it wasn't my favorite game simply because of the lack of options and control ... I dislike the linear games, and that was a put off for Miyuka, it felt extremely limited and linear.
However i'm starting to feel a bit critical about JSK games. They're starting to get very linear and regurgitated SFX from earlier games, which weren't even original to begin with. And the male protagonists always seem to take 10 minutes to finish after you hit the cum button...
..the ones that are hardest to translate are my favorite ones (the ones in which you actually have a lot of options to play around with), then again i'm also a fan of Kasumi Rebrth. So maybe that makes my opinion hold less weight

. I do agree however, a lot of them are looking more and more like M&F games, which i'm sure are fine for someone looking for easy porn. But i prefer to play a game. If i wanted easy porn i'd go to one of the multitudes of free porn sites.
Gotta love clipping the quotes down to hit the primary points.
First off, there is absolutely nothing wrong with loving Kasumi Rebirth. It's lovable for roughly parallel reasons that minecraft is loveable.
Things. To. Do. SO MANY OF THEM.
It's guarenteed that eventually the games going to burn itself out, but for that first encounter, and the exploring of all the different things you can do and how they interact, it's as much fun for your brain as it is a thrill for your crotch.
Fact: Linear games will always trend towards boredom. You can mix up the formula like crazy, but if there isn't something dynamic inside to offset the linearity, (like lots of strategies or choices), things get very boring very fast.
My nostalgia favorite is Orekko, but my technical favorite is solidly Vampire Hunter.
It's my favorite version of the combat system, and I'm really fond of the dialogue. I feel that JSKI is/has been, experimenting with coding combat systems, and that eventually they will settle into what he finds is the best version.
It's a pretty common opinion that the male always cums too damn long, that's probably a JSKI personal thing. As far as sound effects go, I've always kinda blurred those out inside my brain, because at the end of the day they all sound too similar. It's hard to be original with sex sound effects, mostly because the object of originality is to be more engaging, and honestly, can you think of a sex sound effect that would MAKE it more engaging, or just sounds that Detract from engagement? With the sounds, you're
typically either holding steady, or losing ground. Mostly because the moment you have a profitable sound effect that makes it better, it goes viral, and becomes boring again.
For me, the appeal of the JSKI games is the simplicity, and the promise of a basic minimum of story. I've kind of settled into the mindset that I'm not going to enjoy anything erotic at all unless it has at least
some base line of intelligent depth, or plays off of a fetish. With JSKI there's always the promise of at least one, sometimes more, love based endings, and the bonus of additional endings if you really like the particular character/plot-setting, and want to see other possibilities...Or if you're just a maximum completion freak like me.
What I'm really holding out hope for, is a game that mixes either the combat system from Vampire Hunter, or a new more enjoyable innovation he comes up with, and the dialogue/interaction play gamestyle from Imoutoto. I just can't think of how you'd spin the two, since they kind of oppose each other in flow. If you just throw the Imoutoto interactions into the normal dialogue options inside of Vampire Hunters combat, you get a very flow breaking effect, assuming the fight was going to resume.
'n just to be saying it, I also hope the JSKI games don't get any closer to the M&F style. Those 'games' are so infernally boring that after halfway into the third one, whenever I see the logo now I just skip it without even seeing what the scenario is. Even if it's a set I would like, the play will just be too damn boring.
