Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Giselle followed Vos and Wind out, glancing over towards Cali one last time, and feeling that if she hadn't made her threats, then Wind wouldn't have killed her most likely. After they made their way through the tunnels a ways, Giselle looked around in what appeared to be a classroom of sorts. After Vos tossed the chalk over to Wind, Giselle let her go, though it was obvious she didn't want to. When Wind wrote what she did and was thumping her head on the chalkboard, Giselle hugged her from behind and kissed her on the neck.

"Kylie... Wind, it's alright. I swore to put you back together, my love. I... I have to, because I can't lose you. I... I can't go through this again," Giselle said softly, tears welling up in her eyes as she sniffled and clung to Wind from behind. "We have to find the rest of you. Storm and Water are still with the the real Kylie, and Sun is... somewhere nearby, but I don't know where exactly. But the rest... I don't know what they are, but I can feel that there's a couple of them, that would just sooner kill me than come back with me," she went on to say as she hugged Wind.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Wind wriggled back into Giselle affectionatly before tapping away again.

The angry ones. They are like children, they do not know they have to come back. Ichor is different, she wants to see and learn, so she doesn't care. But Kalt and Hecate, Hate and Hunger, they don't know better. The message said, Wind heaving a heavy sigh that made the weapon she carried sway.

Bringing them back, we need Aria and Idris, they are inside Kylie. Water and Storm. My name is Gale... we didn't have names... until today. Wind was crying softly, head against the board, before turning and throwing her arms around Giselle and clinging to her. The chalk was moving on it's own, the word Sorry being written a thousand times across it's black surface until Vos managed to snatch it up and sighed.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"It's alright hon, I know that we'll manage to get them all back and get through to them," Giselle told Wind, or Gale as she was calling herself. "And Wind... Gale, no... Kylie. You don't have to be sorry. I'm the one that's sorry, for not protecting you better. And... I don't know if we can get Aria and Idris out of your main form without losing you completely, and the children," she then told Gale as she held her, while Vos took the chalk and set it down.

"And, well... as you can see, I met Vos. So we've got help. I know that I can get through to the others though love. I just need to find them, and force them to remember me. No part of you hates me, I can feel it," Giselle told Gale after a hugging her tightly. "So... what do we do now? I want to find the one that shot you, but, I think finding your missing pieces is top priority," she then asked, looking between Gale and Vos.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

I'll hunt the shooter, and the amaranthine, you find the others. Gale wrote out, nodding at the two of them, before sighing and sitting down. The chalk was moving on it's own again. Vos stay with Cosimo. He's gone crazy, have Diana look after Giselle, she's already crazy. the message said, as Gale contemplated the odd weapon she had in her hands.

The whip itself, Giselle would see was made of fine chain, not leather, and looked too delicate to be something your average blacksmith could make. Robbing the Vaults again huh? Vos said, chuckling. Gale nodding, head hung and shoulders hunched, the weapon hanging in her hands near the ground.

It's called the Singing Reaver. Or the Whistling Scythe, belonged to one of our first matriarchs. Kylie I suppose would have full access but not gale... so how did you get in? he asked, the chalk tapping behind them all.

Trapped Front Door. it's all reset, took me about an hour. it said, Vos whistling. Giselle. Find the rest of us, we wont listen to eachother. I've already tried with hecate. She says the pain only goes away when she eats. She feels empty inside, because we're all seperate. another message read, an eraser smudging out previous messages as a new one was put down.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Who is Diana? A friend? And yeah, Cos has gone kind of crazy I think. But I think we can get through to him once he's calmed down a bit," Giselle told Gale, kissing her on the cheek. "And honey, don't take any big risks. If you need help, come tell me okay... please. If one of you gets hurt, then the rest of you does," she added.

"It's a beautiful weapon. And, honestly hon... it looks fitting for you I think. And don't worry hon, I'm positive that I can get through to the others. Hecate... might be best saved for last. But then again... it might be better to get her as soon as possible to keep her from hurting people. If she wants to eat, then... well, I'll give her something to eat. Something that I know Kylie loves," Giselle said, smirking as she spoke the last sentence and winking at her as she made her little joke, trying to try and lighten the mood a bit, which for Giselle at least, it did, and she was able to relax a little bit for the first time in a while. "But seriously though hon, if the rest of you won't listen to each other, or you, then maybe they'll at least listen to the one thing that all of Kylie can agree upon... their love for me," Giselle said after a few moments, looking hopeful and confident that she could get through to the other portions of Kylie and get them to see reason.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

I think you're right. With two exceptions, Kalt and Ichor. They are parts of me to which love is an alien concept Giselle. One is born of murder, the other torture. Hecate... Hecate may listen though. Gale wrote out, hugging Giselle tight and kissing her one final time. I have to keep moving and hunting. be careful my eternal. the message read, gale getting that last kiss in, before shimmering and fading from view entirely, like she'd been blown away on a breeze, even her presence in the ring had faded to nothing but a whisper.

Who is Kalt... and Ichor? Vos asked, seeming confused by all the names being spelled out on the board.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Giselle nodded to Gale when she wrote out the next bit, smiling softly at Gale as she hugged her back. "Alright, I understand. Hmm... for Ichor and Kalt then... I may have to be a little more mean with them. Hmm... I wonder, would the collar still apply to the rest of you, since you're part of Kylie, even though you don't have it on yourselves?" Giselle told Gale before returning the kiss and letting her go as she whispered in her ear one last time to be careful.

"I'm not sure Vos, but if they scared even Wind, or Gale I guess now, then they're a force to be reckoned with. So... when we meet them, we need to be careful, very careful," Giselle told Vos, looking thoughtful about the whole thing as she reached out again to feel for all the Kylie's.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Sola's signal was faint, there were two others moving around very sporadically, and felt... amused? No, Mirthful, laughing at someone elses expense. That questing hunger for information was sneaking it's way through the center of the city, Giselle getting flashes of information, books, titles. A library. That shard would be occupied for awhile.

The raw Need to eat, the Hunger, was out away in the farther districts, but not the furthest one out. There was a very quiet, and calm feeling of contemplation far to the north. No panic, no hurt or worry, just... a sense of watching and thinking. Flashes of mountains... No, there were 2 out in the mountains. That Hatred was there as well, but off to the east, Close, but not encroaching on the other. It's emotions were still turned to that single burning cold rage at nothing in particular, just Hatred, a Hatred of every living thing, of every other persons happiness, a feeling of intense jealousy accompanying that thought. Why should others be happy, when it's life was pain and death and loss. Why shouldn't she destroy them all... That's what it was deciding on, thinking about, Judging.

her loving Gale was moving quickly, but very quietly, already back up on the surface, and searching in circles for traces of her killer. the last, she'd sensed it at the sundering, and it had swiftly vanished, and still now it was beyond giselle's ability to sense or find. Only one emotion rang clear from it, and without any sense of a location. Fear. Tangible, Raw, Powerful Terror. Something had gone very wrong with that shard of her love. But she wasn't captured... she was being.... What caused this fear...

Hunted. The last piece of her fiance was being actively hunted by someone else, stalked, measured. There was someone else in this race and they had a very clear target in mind.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Feeling around, Giselle tried to mentally mark where each of the pieces were, or at least in which directions anyway. It was tough with so many, but she did her best. That feeling of hatred she felt made Giselle feel that it would most definitely have to be last on her list... most likely at least. She felt for Gale and smiled as she found her, moving quickly through the city. Then she felt the last shard, that had only faintly been felt at Kylie's sundering, and it worried her, a great deal.

"Hmm... what's the matter my love? What's chasing you? Or who?" Giselle thought to herself as she reached out towards that piece of Kylie, doubting that it would hear or feel her speaking through her mind, but doing it anyway before looking at Vos and letting go for now to speak to him.

"The only ones I knew about were Wind, or Gale, Storm, Water, and Sun. Storm and Water are still in Kylie's body, while Sun is... somewhere, I can feel her though. The rest are totally new to me though," Giselle told Vos.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

An image of a boy flashed into her mind, regal clothing in a room of polished marble and gold, sitting relaxed while a shadow hung over him, tall, twisted, and evil, the child resting his cheek on his hand fine delicate features and curly golden hair shadowing his eyes while a twisted smile played on his face. And like that the image was gone, but the shard was suddenly, blaringly open to Giselle's senses as it gave itself away to reach out to her, and it was running fast. It was almost directly above her and moving away quickly, and then it was gone again...

It reappeared on her mental radar one last time, heading west, moving in great leaps and confusing patterns. Straight lines and tight twists before it vanished again. Hiding, whatever form or shape it was in could move quickly but wasn't strong enough to fight.

Every other shard had picked up on it's movements, and the two amused one from before had started to bolt in it's direction, only to stop when it had disappeared, feeling worried and scared, trying to scope out the area where they thought it had hidden.

So... Kylie is weird. Vos said, Wait here, gotta get your babysitter. Our new leader said so. he said, sighing and going to get Diana.

5 minutes passed and Vos came back in with a woman. Kylie's age and very slight of build, she was a woman, just a small one with bubblegum pink hair and a mischievous smile on her otherwise plain face. She wasn't wearing the usual cloak, but was instead in what appeared to be light black clothes. I was training. sup? she asked, waving a hand at Giselle and tilting her head, Vos smacking the side of her arm and heading out. Bye Vos, Be careful yeah? she said, Vos nodding.

SO! You're the infamous lady love of Miss Silent But Deadly... not very classy I suppose, but when you're a kid you get the odd nicknames and they stick. Kylie was always unlucky that way I suppose. But hey I finally just figured out how she did the 5th trial in record time! Still can't beat her time... Guh, it's frustrating when one name holds every record and it's plastered in Bronze all over the damned walls of the training rooms. she said, seeming proud of herself but scrunching up her face in annoyance. Can't say we ever really got along well. But I like to think we're friends. I was her training partner in the thieves guild. Night Runners. Pleasure to meet you. she said, seeming very bright and cheerful.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

When the image of the boy flashed into her mind, Giselle hrmm'd and kept watching the image as it changed, curious as to why she was being shown this image. She did her best to try and mentally remember the face of the boy in her vision. After that, feeling the shard that was hiding, and flitting around, Giselle tried to track it as best she could, feeling it heading west from there. If there was any possible way that Giselle could communicate with the shards through thought, she would try and tell them to all stop and come back to her, whether it worked or not.

"Yeah Vos... she's weird... fairly weird to say the least. But I love her, and I'm going to do everything I can to get her back. Also, I'm not gonna lie, but I'm a little disappointed in the reception I got back in the bar though about her. I had been hoping that the Steel Rose would be more willing to help one of their own, considering how good she is and all," Giselle said to Vos before he went to get the one Gale mentioned, Diana.

When Diana addressed her once Vos had left, Giselle nodded to the pink haired girl. "I'm Giselle... her fiance. So... what are you supposed to be here for? Taking me to a safe house? Or what? Honestly... I don't know who I can and can't trust. I mean, that Cali bitch out there was completely ready to kill me for no reason other than she hated Kylie," Giselle said to Diana, holding a hand out to shake Diana's.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Vos shook his head sadly before he left at Giselle's disappointment in her reception. It seemed Kylie had been very.... misleading, regarding her family. Though she had only ever called them that, no one had been special in her tellings. Except for Regi, and the Okami. The only other person she had mentioned specifically.

Diana however had more to say on that, or show. Hrm... you want to know why.... well. Cmon then. she said, leading Giselle out of the room, looking around the corners first.

Kylie never had any friends. First she was the weird girl who couldn't talk, then she was regi's little sister, soon enough she became "That bitch who's good at everything. Fuck her. Who does she think she is." Diana said, leading her through the winding passages.

They eventually reached a large, sealed door. Ok, this is why, well. one of the reasons. she said, pointing to a plaque on the wall with bronze nameplates covering it. Kylie's name was in every single slot. These are all the record holders for The Trials. They're... acrobatic exercises? Trap runs, puzzles, gauntlets. she explained, gesturing at the fact that not only did Kylie hold the record for each, but that some of those plates had been there a long time. Worse, every single one had had someone draw a blade through her name, trying to scratch it out, as if they could pretend it didn't exist.

Trainees and Wraithes alike die in these trials. Several have died just trying to beat out her times or records. But when that happened, their friends started to go after Kylie herself, and well... Cali is an example of how that ended, but it was Regi in the way. Then Regi died. Regi was well liked unlike his sister and it was Kylie's fault in a way. And with him gone everyone thought Here's our chance, we kill the injured kid and we're done with her forever. Obviously that didn't play out either, Kylie came back from that experience vicious and ruthless and everyone came to the conclusion it was better to try and forget her, or ignore her. Instead of attack her or try to beat her. It was just her and Vos, the two amigos, I came into things much later, she helped me clear the last trial. But that was the only time I met her. "She's a monster" they said "A demon" others said, It never ended, the rumors and stories. But to me, she was just a girl. Well, a hard as stone and nasty if provoked girl, but you know, just.... alone. Cali was Regi's girlfriend, bout time she bumped Cali off if you ask me, tried to kill her at LEAST a half dozen times. Only reason she lived this long was because Kylie didn't want to be responsible for her death as well. Seemed she got over that little hitch. Diana said, sighing, leaning against the wall.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Sure, I suppose it'll give me a little insight into Kylie's past and stuff at least," Giselle said to Diana, shrugging as she followed her along.

"I see, well... where I come from, if you're good at things, you're respected, and people look up to you. Hell, people should be proud that they have someone that's so good at doing certain things on their side if you ask me," Giselle said as they came to the large bronze plaque and she looked at it, with Kylie's name being on there all over the damn thing. "I've only known Kylie for a short time, compared to everyone here, maybe three months or so at most, possibly four. But I don't know why anyone would say she's a monster. She's one of the sweetest girls I've ever met, and I love her. And she's carrying my children too, and I am not going to just let her, or them, go. It's wrong to treat her like shit, especially when you're supposed to be on the same side. And if Cali really loved Reggie, then she would have done everything in her power to protect Kylie and make the others either leave her alone, or grow to like her. Anyway Diana, where to now?" Giselle went on to say when Diana was done, trying not to let what all Diana had said bother her..

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Do you have family? What if it was her fault one of them died? I may not know her well, but that's always been one thing no one has disagreed on Giselle. She broke under torture and killed her brother. Diana said, leading Giselle away from the plaque.

She led her up through a staircase, and then up a ladder, kicking open the grate by swinging up and offered her hand. Vos was insane to bring you down there. Cmon, there is actually a safehouse you can use. she said, leading Giselle through the streets to a small townhouse, and handing her a key.

Should be safe enough in here when you sleep, you can move around during the day and hope the shooter wont fire into a crowd, or at night if you think he might, or dont want to get shanked by someone on the ground. she said, looking around in the early morning hours.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Mmm, and she blames herself for it every day Diana. It's painful to watch her beat herself up over it anytime he's mentioned, or she thinks about it. And yes, I have family, but they're very strong, and we have strong friends too. But I've also lost people close to me before. My parents, some of my past lovers. I won't lose Kylie, I refuse to," Giselle replied, shrugging a bit about it as she followed Diana along.

"So... why did Vos bring me down here then, do you think?" Giselle asked curiously as Diana kicked the grate open, and taking the offered hand up, telling Diana thanks as she dusted herself off.

Giselle followed Diana to the safe house and took the key, thanking her again as she opened the door and went inside. "Diana, do you want to come in? I mean, I can fill you in on the situation, and what I need to do to save Kylie. The more help Vos and I have, the easier it'll be to do so. But, I won't be upset if you don't feel you're up to the task," Giselle asked Diana as she went inside.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

probably. And how did you treat the one, who cost you your previous lover I wonder.... I doubt you gave them a hug and told them it was alright, lied to them and said it wasn't their fault. You have the air of a killer Giselle... It's just hidden deeper then most...What if it was Her. Diana said, cutting to the truth of her quickly and with a surprisingly keen eye, her own eyes glowing the same pink as her hair now while she stepped inside, clearing the house.

Vos most likely brought you to the rose to slap you with the truth of Kylie's home there. She stood head and shoulders above most, and any of them other standard initiates. he wanted you to be certain you knew you had no friends there, and to meet Tabitha, so she could keep an eye out for you. When you make a wish to see all, it drives you insane, poor Tabitha. But... she's omniscient in a way. It's a good way to help keep you safe. And don't get me wrong Giselle, I don't think Kylie is a bad person, or you. But I wont let you lie to yourself about her situation. Most of it she made herself or earned herself. There is no explaining that away, she could have held herself back, let others stand in her spotlight, hidden her skill, but she didn't. She made them all look at her back as she surpassed them, and killed those who dared to lash at her for it. The way a leader should. she said quietly, starting to make tea of all things.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"No... I might not comfort them, I don't know, unless it was one of my sisters. And I don't know Diana. Kylie's never hurt anyone that I love," Giselle said, heaving a sigh.

As Diana began making the tea and continued talking, Giselle simply remained quiet, clenching her fists until her knuckles turned white. She feared that if she said anything, she'd fly into a rage, go back to the bar, and beat the shit out of everyone down there for mistreating her Kylie. And for what? Envy? Jealousy? Because she managed to somehow be a prodigy at this line of work better than them? Her mood was a considerably darkened by Diana's words now, after she'd perked back up at seeing Wind, or Gale, again. Giselle waited for the tea to get done and looked around the house to see what all was what in there, and what all she had to work with in terms of living space, trying to calm herself back down again by not thinking too much on what she'd said.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

We all live in sin, does it surprise you at all? Diana said softly, bringing Giselle a cup of tea and guiding her into a chair. Some want to change the world for the better, others just want to kill. And they saw their own ambitions fall away in the face of this slip of a girl who couldn't speak. They never knew her own dreams or wishes, or why she killed. Only that she did, and she did it better then they could. That in the end, it was her unknown desires that would come to fruition, and that there's would be wasted and forgotten. she said, looking bitter about that, but not that there was anyone to blame. I simply decided I had to become stronger, and she came out of nowhere and told me she could Help, if i let her, That Vos had betrayed my trust to help. And I made a decision to take her up on that. I've never forgotten the gift of her help for that week. And I never will.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Giselle took her cup of tea when it was ready, sipping at it as she listened to Diana continue talking. She was trying to not let her mood get darker as Diana spoke, the tea helping on that regard thankfully. "I must admit, the more I'm finding out, the less I'm liking this place. I mean, even had she not been shot, it sounds like her enemies in the Steel Rose, would have tried to hurt or kill me, just to hurt her. No offense intended," Giselle said, trying to be honest here, though she didn't want to anger Diana in the process.

"So, what all did she help you with exactly?" Giselle asked curiously, trying to change the subject of how the rest of the Steel Rose, Kylie's own allies, mistreated her.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

They wouldn't have dared with her around. But, if she was busy with the trials.... they would have certainly tried just to see her fail. As for what she helped me with, well. I'm afraid of heights, so I couldn't do the 3rd and 4th initiate crucibles. They're acrobatic training areas. She showed me in the end I had nothing to be afraid of. I've never forgotten that gift. Diana said, sipping on her own glass, her eyes returning to normal as she stopped reading Giselle's heart.
