Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Freya rolled her eyes a bit, as Kylie spoke aloud, leaving Sheena blushing a bit at it. "But I still disobeyed your orders, Kylie. You told me not to engage, but I did anyway. I still have a lot to learn I guess," Sheena replied, still huddled up a bit, but nodding to Kylie to acknowledge that she heard and understood her words.

When Kylie looked to Dara and asked if she could make her own way back, she nodded. "Aye, I believe I can. Assuming I know where I'm at, and if I have a weapon if you can spare one, so I can protect myself," Dara replied, looking confident in her ability to make it back to her home with relative ease.

Freya offered her a long dagger she kept on her back, with the sheath. "Here you go hon, take care out there, okay," Freya told her, as she handed her dagger over, to which Dara thanked her with a smile.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Roll your eyes all you want. We're family Freya, I wont hide the truth from Family, blood relation or not. I remember you both came to visit me while I recovered, how you and Sheena took turns with Maria and Yuki to guard me... I could see you, I could feel you. I love you both. Sheena, what you have to learn is that you must stop, and consider everything, and then decide. I give you orders to keep us all as safe as I can. Kylie said, wringing her hair before Freya gave Dara a sharp thing. Kylie turned and grabbed her shoulder lightly. Slash the tree bark nice and deep every 20 yards or so, leave a trail for us. We'll follow it and check up on you when we come back this way, Just in case. Be safe. she said, before hugging the girl tightly and teleporting her back to the ground.

Booping back up into the blind, Kylie grinned at her girls. Ready to follow a terrified cow?

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Freya nodded at Kylie's words while Sheena reached over and hugged Kylie. "Y-Yeah, we did. We couldn't let you be alone back then," Sheena said, as she hugged Kylie.

Once Dara had been given the dagger by Freya, she nodded at Kylie's words, preparing to head on out. Once she was back on the ground, Dara smiled to Kylie and headed westward, using the dagger to slash the tree as instructed, in the direction of the little town Kylie had stopped at on her first trip to Tear Cove. Once Dara was gone, Freya and Sheena were both ready to leave whenever Kylie was, and followed her out.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

It was time to move on. The girl would be fine, she had found their path through to the minotaur leader through fear instead of brutality. It wasn't all that bad a day. Even then, she felt poorly for treating Sheena like she had. But she also understood that such a decision for Her, who normally worked alone without exception... Was the cause of that guilt and that Sheena would understand eventually.

If she ever worked a solo mission.

She'd live a longer life if she never did.

For now however it was time to follow her leader, and she did, dropping to the ground smoothly and moving to track his path, using only her methods and those she had taught to her girls, to move along her targets trail only, despite the mess, calculating mass and movement that she had seen to be certain of what she saw in the jungle floor.

For now she'd accept what she had accomplished.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Freya and Sheena both crept along behind Kylie, and kept quiet, moving slowly along until they came within sight of the minotaur again. Sheena waved to Kylie and pointed at him, as if asking if that were the one in question, before following from a further distance than Kylie, as they weren't as good at stealth as Kylie was. As they followed him along, Kylie noticed that he was heading towards the cavern, but not directly to it, so if she wished to say something to him about it, now would be the time, though if she decided not to, she'd see he wouldn't actually stop there, save to grab what appeared to be a small pack of sorts before moving out.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie didn't interrupt him, didn't need to. If her words hadn't sunk in the first time they wouldn't sink in now. Instead she followed quietly and patiently. Watching him grab a pack, there was nothing to do now but plod along quietly and see what came of this.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

The minotaur walked along, moving rather quickly considering, really. After a while of following him, Kylie and company found he was following a stream that ran down into the main river from the mountain. When sunset came, the minotaur slowed and came to a halt in a small clearing near the water's edge, and looked around, as if waiting for Kylie to show herself to see if she had anything against him stopping to rest for a bit.

"Should we rest, you think, and let him rest a bit too? Or keep pressing on?" Sheena whispered softly to Kylie.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie followed, and thought, and followed, and continued to think. Her options were simple really. Allow the minotaur to rest, and think himself, which raised the chances of him turning on them somehow, Or allow him to sleep, show him that... Small mercy.. There was a middle road, and Kylie didn't see it in her minds eye until that moment when he stopped to do just as she feared. He stopped to rest.

It had to be obvious to him in some way that she was Definitely tailing him. That his role as messenger had to be carried through. But to be punishing about it would be pointless. Instead.... she decided interrogation was more in order.

Hrm.... Sheena, Freya, follow the river further on for about 5 miles. Take your time, feel it out. The easiest way to keep him from leading us into an ambush is to scout his path ahead of time. See about killing something edible as well... Some solid meat would be a good thing rather then our trail food for now. We may find ourselves in sore need of it later and I'd rather not hit it too hard when we could hunt instead. I'll come looking for you if I don't see you in 4 hours. Mark your trail as always, stay together. She said finally, stretching, enjoying the stretch and pull of leather as her armor stretched with her. Making sure her rediculously long hair was still pulled back and pinned just to be certain, she breathed, and then teleported directly behind the minotaur to stand in his shadow. The symbolism would not be lost on him.

How do you think this Chief of yours will react? I'm sure he hates me on a level most cannot comprehend. she said callously, sliding around in front of him and sitting on the ground, laying her back against a rock, completely relaxed and at peace with the situation. Confidence sliding off of her in waves.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

The minotaur didn't seem to be thinking of running, or trying to worm his way out of being Kylie's messenger. When Kylie ordered Sheena and Freya to scout the river out a bit, they nodded to her and moved off to carry said order out, stealthily. "Freya, you handle the hunting, I'll handle the scouting," Sheena whispered, to which Freya nodded, and they bounded onward.

"Also Kylie, we'll mark trees with an X inside of a circle, to be distinct about it," Freya whispered to Kylie before she headed on with Sheena.

When Kylie came down to the minotaur finally, and asked him what she did, he glanced back at her with a start. "He will likely laugh, then punch me. If I'm lucky and he's in a good mood. If I'm unlucky... well, you'll get to see me be killed most likely. And yes... he does hate you, but he also fears you, as do most of us," he replied.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

If he's the kind to kill a messenger, then he'll get what's coming to him, wont he. I'm surprised most of you haven't joined the southern tribes yet. Better relations with the natives is just a starting benefit, myself included. And you're all Correct in being afraid. When I say this is my island, I mean it. I see and feel it's currents, I can altar them, feed on them, feed them myself. It's weather is respectful of my wishes and whims. My first time should have been enough. That it wasn't is a shame if only for the lives lost. Being said, I wont let that get in my way she answered, picking at her nails as she relaxed.

Your current civil war. You realize the offshoot tribes have something close, to the right idea. If the females you took didn't have to fear rape, impregnation, and enslavement, it could very well be a simple, accepted aspect of this island, that of a temporary, but Acceptable capture for a coming of age. Hunting Intelligent Prey is difficult. But that leads to another question. Why is your coming of age ritual, hunting the weakest of the flock, instead of challenging one of this islands real warriors for their approval. There are many available you know... This island is host to some of the strongest figures on this planet I wager. Dragons, Angels, Devils... Why make the forceful capture of a female not even of your own species what defines you as a Grown Man? In my order it was your first Kill, in many cultures it is a true and challenging hunt that could very well kill you if you're foolish or unlucky. Others are more... gentle, focusing on mind and wit. But not your people. No, you Rape, Capture, and Enslave species physically weaker then yourselves, and you do it in a cowardly way, picking off stragglers away from home without much in the way of defense. That's not proof of age, it's an affirmation of Weakness. she continued, glaring at the minotaur dangerously.

Should you survive this. And I may deliver the message myself, if I truly belief your leader will kill you after being useful to me... There may be more to your life. Are you familiar with a Nomad Banishment? she asked him, raising an eyebrow.

It is a punishment, enforced throughout the area. That you must be marked. You will be given a staff for defense, and Good traveling clothes, and boots. And the mark lets others know, that your mission, during the period of your banishment, is to learn the ways, languages, and customs, of your fellow sentient races. And that your very survival depends on Their acceptance, and support of you. They'll feed you, cloth you, always ensure you have those clothes, that staff, even rise to your defense. But if you are unacceptable, if you rage, if you act criminally, obstinately, or foolishly, you may find those meals become short, the clothing threadbare, your staff weak. You coexisting as a Beggar among strangers the only thing keeping you from a lonely death in the wilds. she explained, checking her weapons. If I can get your people to give up this One unacceptable practice, I think such a thing would be beneficial for those willing... To travel, learn, find wisdom... What would you say to that? she asked him, raising an eyebrow.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"Many have joined the Terios clan already, and more do so every week, seeing the old ways as... too difficult to continue. They've adapted to be less... harsh, with no keeping of slaves. The chief though... he will not be easy to convince. He... is a worshiper, or follower, however you wish to view it, of Baphomet. Even though Baphomet was slain many years ago," the minotaur replied, sighing softly, with a little snort. "Aye, I've heard of it. We do something similar to those that are weak in the clan. Send them away, so they do not weaken the clan as a whole. If they survive on their own, then they are later welcomed back after one year of banishment. For they have proven that they have grown from being weak, to being strong. I do not know how many of the clansmen would agree to your conditions, but it would be better to do that, and adapt to the changing of the tides, than to be eradicated, I suppose," he went on to say, admitting to Kylie that he would be willing to agree to her terms, in order to live on.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie sighed, and actually smiled, shaking her head and leaning back, looking up into the sky. I've met most of the gods, you know. In one way or another, and the gods above those gods, though it would be straining my sanity to try and recover All of those memories at once. To be broken and put back together like a poorly formed jiggsaw of a soul... she muttered, before realizing she was getting off track.

He will not be hard to convince... When he sees... Get me to him, I will deliver the message. I wont stain my hands with the blood of an open mind unless you force me to. And then... well... Find someplace to hide until it's over. The weather will be getting unfriendly. Kylie said, starting to build a storm on the coast all around the village. Just a bubbling, a simmering for now. Air currents coming together as she prepared herself for the tribes. She'd never done... well this. She'd summoned violent and fairly short lived weather... But what she was building now was a true and powerful SeaBorn Maelstrom in the clouds, the eye of a truly massive hurricane centered directly on the island, Melora's tear protected inside the eye of the storm, creating a horrifying column of spinning black clouds like the walls of a prison, lightning crackling from one side of the eye to the other.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"I hope you're right. I don't wish to see my people massacred," the minotaur said, heaving a sigh, and looking genuinely worried about his people, more so than even his own pride. "The village is about a day's travel from here, give or take. If the weather holds good at least," he added after a few moments.

"If it's all the same to you, I would like to get some sleep. If we leave at dawn tomorrow morning, we ought to be able be there by or near sundown, and I will need the rest before making that trip," the minotaur said after a moment or two.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

It will hold until I want it to do something else. Kylie said, nodding when he said he wanted to sleep. She just sat there, cool as a summer breeze, digging out oranges to eat while she waited for Sheena and Freya.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

The minotaur raised an eyebrow at Kylie's words, looking curious about what she'd said, and... a little frightened. After a while, as she ate some oranges, Kylie noticed Sheena coming back, with Freya in tow, and Freya was hauling up a couple of packets of meat she'd gotten from whatever she'd hunted. The two didn't want to make themselves seed by the minotaur until Kylie gave them the okay, so Sheena waved Kylie over so Freya could tell her that she'd managed to get a small wild pig, and they would have extra bacon and ham. Freya looked absolutely giddy that she'd gotten what she had, while Sheena reported in that there were no ambush parties up ahead that she could see anyway, and that she'd combed the area pretty thoroughly.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie slipped away from the minotaur as he got some rest, meeting the girls out in the treeline and pleased they'd gotten some meat. It was always good to have real food instead of trail food.

Still.

Seems they have no Idea I can muck with the weather. I don't think it'll be super hard to convince the Mino's to finally Stop being assholes. We'll see. I'm gonna get some of my poisons cooked up she said, doing just that with the supplies Freya had brought along while they mussed around with pork, everyone getting a break while the Minotaur slept.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

"You're probably right. Also here, if you're going to make some of your stuff," Freya replied, handing over the satchel with Kylie's poisons she'd grabbed.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Tank chu. Kylie said, flipping open the satchel and tossing a small ceramic basin on the ground, starting to fit ingredients into place before simmering them into paste. This alone she wouldn't powder. No reason to, paralytics worked best fluid and easily absorbed.

While the girls ate, she'd reach over and pick at the food, but for the most part she stayed focused on mixing what the ingredients would allow, compensating with stronger doses because the Minotaurs were thicker skinned and heavier. They'd need a higher shock to their system for it to take effect. So she wound up with less then she would like, but was rewarded for taking her time by having a few doses on hand that would actually be effective.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Freya cooked up some of the ham and bacon she'd gotten from the wild pig she found, and made sure they had plenty to eat, while Kylie worked on her poisons. Once they had eaten their food, Freya decided to get herself some sleep for now, as did Sheena, leaving Kylie to continue making her poisons. As soon as they had finished eating, and before she went to bed, Freya put their little cook fire out to keep their position as masked as possible from any outside onlookers.

Re: Kylie (Courage Wolf)

Kylie watched the pair bed down, keeping an eye on sheena, wondering when those new seeds would pop. As well as looking around for anything interesting or new, the dryad plant lady thing had mentioned as much.

But eventually boredom set in if she didn't find anything and she started fiddling with the grass, making it longer, stronger, a little more rapey, creating a large patch of it underneath herself while she popped a seed bulb out of a nearby plant, wondering what she could do with it. Maybe it could stick to people and get creative with some vine tendrils. Such was life when you had 8 hours of free time and other people were sleeping.
