Lexwyn, having set herself up in the corner of the room that was on the same wall as the door, so that she could see it but potentially remain hidden, gradually drifted toward sleep as the sun fell and darkness took over the small hut. Inside, it was pitch black, without even the light of the moon and stars to illuminate the room, and despite how close to falling asleep she was, Lexwyn still heard the soft sounds coming from the next room, the pairs attempts to quiet what they were doing clearly practiced, but not quite successful enough to prevent Lexwyn from hearing a few things, particularly when the pair finished.

About two hours after Luna and Lara had gone to bed, Lexwyn was fully asleep, or at least as asleep as the assassin could be, when she was suddenly jarred awake by some internal warning. The room was pitch black save for a small sliver of light that peered in through the doorway, likely from the moon given its color and brightness. She couldn't hear anything out of the ordinary either, just the normal sounds of the night in Artmirst, but for some reason, some internal warning was sounding within her.

Re: Lexwyn (OAMP)

Lexwyn slowly pulled out one of her blades and kept it close, but then froze. She was pretty sure her corner hiding spot was good enough to keep her hidden, or at least remaining was better then getting up, banging around, and giving away her position. She forced herself to remain calm, controlling her breathing and pressing into the wall. While she couldn't see very well at all, at the very least if anything came in there would be SOME indicators of what it was and what it was doing, and thus if she focused hard, she'd be able to get the jump on any intruder.

Rolls
Perception: 2/?? Lexwyn wins.
Your perception roll was a 4. Only one of them rolled below a 14. :|
Attack: Automatic Hit.
Attack: Automatic Hit.
Attack: Automatic Hit.
Damage: 3 + 12 - 8 = 7 x 2 = 14 damage. Armor at 25/30 TP.
Damage: 3 + 12 - 8 = 7 x 2 = 14 damage. Armor at 20/30 TP.
Damage: 4 + 12 - 8 = 8 x 2 = 16 damage. Armor at 15/30 TP.

Lexwyn watched and waited from her corner of the room, her sense of unease growing as the seconds passed by. Was that movement she'd seen in the doorway? Had the drapes covering it just fluttered slightly? After a few heartbeats, she was sure of it: She had seen something move. Two somethings, in fact. They had entered the small room in a low crouch, and clung close to the wall. One of the objects suddenly broke off toward her, while the other silently continued toward the door into the room where Luna and Lara lay sleeping. Unfortunately, she apparently hadn't seen all of them, as she felt several sharp pains on her chest, arms and face as numerous claws tore at her from the darkness, and a single fist slammed once into her head. Demons materialized around her, the gray skinned creatures that were still so common amongst the threats Artmirst posed to her. After attacking, they had abandoned her camouflage, but they clearly hadn't expected Lexwyn to be able to take as much punishment as she did, her armor and natural toughness proving useful once again. Unfortunately, she was also surrounded, backed into a corner against the wall of the shabby little room, and was both exhausted and already badly hurt, the blow to the head having almost knocked her senseless.

Re: Lexwyn (OAMP)

It took Lexwyn's mind a second to register what just happened, which really accounted for much of her delay. Nothing like sharp pricks to bring one's focus back though. Scowling, her first act was to ready her blade. She was at an obvious disadvantage, so she'd have to settle for striking into the next attack made against her, assuming they didn't just swarm her, in which case she'd just have to try her luck at random.

On the bright side, she could let out a quick yell towards the other room, hopefully giving the girls a few seconds warning at the very least. The fight would get messy and loud either way, giving away their safehouse would hopefully not be too bad an idea. Any decently prepared person would have a backup, anyway, but then again these two seemed a little too carefree for her tastes...

HP = 7/56, PP = 29, EP = 49, Status = Badly Injured

Rolls
Monster stats are getting shifted around. You should have taken about ten less damage last round. Your armor should have taken about 5 less as well.
Attack (Lexwyn): Hit.
Damage: 5 + 1 + 2 + 16 = 24 damage.
Attack: Hit.
Attack: Hit.
Attack: Hit.
Damage: 4 + 4 + 7 - 8 = 7 damage. Armor at 15/30 TP.
Damage: 1 + 2 + 7 - 8 = 2 damage. Armor at 12/30 TP.
Damage: 3 + 4 + 7 - 8 = 6 damage. Armor at 7/30 TP.

Attack: Hit.
Attack: Hit.
Damage: 6 * 8 = 48 damage.

She jabs her blade at one of the attacking demons, causing it to draw back slightly, but all three quickly come in for another attack. Lexwyn is punched and scratched repeatedly, and by the end of their attacks, her leather armor is almost shredded from all of the claws that have torn through it, and wet with her blood. Her head ached, and she could barely keep on her feet.

A glimmer of hope came when her shout was answered, however, as a bright red wave of light burst out of the room Lara and Luna had been sleeping in. Lara stepped out a second later, totally nude, but with glowing red eyes. She stared down at the corpses of the two demons she had killed, their flesh burnt away, and then turned to Lexwyn and said; "Through the door, now." She gestured with her head toward the bedroom door, and for a moment, the demons surrounding Lexwyn were distracted, and if she was quick and careful, she might be able to tumble past them without further injury. Luna was nowhere to be scene.

Re: Lexwyn (OAMP)

(Will make the changes right after this post, which should be before you need to do the next update :p)

Lexwyn was already stumbling backwards towards the bedroom before Lara had even opened her mouth, attempting to keep her weapon raised in defense though it was probably a pretty pathetic sight. Her head was spinning, or at least it felt like it, so she was a bit doubtful as to if she'd make it, but one good thing about being knocked senseless was that one could only focus one thing and not get distracted.

Stumbling through the ranks of the demons surrounding her and toward Lara, Lexwyn managed to avoid further claws, as the creatures seemed focused on going after Lara for some reason. The nude women was bombarded with slashing claws and clenched fists, but not one of them seem to be able to reach her. Tearing her eyes away from the Laras bending, gyrating body, Lexwyns moved into the bedroom. The bed had been torn away from the wall, and a small tunnel waited there, a barely dressed woman already scrambling through it. Lara seemed to be holding her own for the moment, but there were at least four or five demons in the room trying to attack her, in close quarters. Even if they didn't simply overwhelm her, there was no way that she could get into the tunnel herself while there were still demons present, as it was so small that they would have to crawl through it. Where it led was beyond Lexwyns knowledge, though it seemed to go parallel with the road, so it might go through to another house.

Re: Lexwyn (OAMP)

Even in her current, dazed state, Lexwyn felt a bit bad, despite having only known the woman a short time. For perhaps the first time she almost wished she were a mage, and then could help out from afar. As it was, she could use her firearms once before retreating down the tunnel, probably not even hitting anything at that. It was sad, but the girl had told her to get back, after all, so her conscience wouldn't be troubled. If the situation wasn't so serious, she'd have stopped to sigh at the thought of comforting the lover that already went through the tunnel.

(Assuming from your post tat you just go through the tunnel. If you wanted to do something else, PM me.)

Turning after a fleeting glance to follow Luna down the tunnel, Lexwyn began crawling through the enclosed space after the other girl. The tunnel went pitch black about ten feet in, but she could still hear movement coming form ahead of her, so she kept going, until after about thirty feet, she saw a light appear up ahead of her. It flickered like the type of light which would have been cast by a torch, and it revealed a bare dirt floor, and a dark circle that was about three feet in diameter. Lunas feet appeared next to the hole, and as Lexwyn came closer and climbed out of the escape tunnel, she saw that the hole in the floor led down into a dark passageway, and that Luna was indeed holding a torch.

The girl wore nothing but a thin shift, already slightly torn and dirty in many places, but from somewhere the girl had acquired a curved sword that now rested on a black leather belt around her waist. Luna also held her torch over the hole, glancing inside as the light of the fire spread down into the underground passage, and also casting her face in the full light, allowing Lexwyn to fully see just how ashen her face was. She wore a grim expression, uncharacteristic for her from what little she knew of her. After a moment, she turned toward Lexwyn and quietly said; "We need to leave. Now. I'll go down first, you follow after a minute if I give the all clear." Her voice held a tinge of iron determination in it, and she quickly clambered down a ladder one handed, still holding the torch. She quickly turned away from the base of the ladder and glanced around, waving her torch. At this point Lexwyn noticed a long, slender tail ending in a spade shaped tip waving out from behind Luna.

After a moment, Luna looked back up at her, a hand on the hilt of her sword, and nodded up to her. "All clear. C'mon."

Re: Lexwyn (OAMP)

Lexwyn was a bit relieved to have a moment to rest. She panted heavily, only nodding to the other girl as she slipped down and out of sight, keeping a wary eye on the way she came. She was also glad to see Luna was still holding together decently. She wouldn't mind too much if she saved the tears until they were safe place, though it would of course be awkward.

When it was time she hopped down. Normally she'd have a weapon at the ready, but she was tired enough to let her guard down a bit, and trusted Luna's assessment.

Re: Lexwyn (OAMP)

As she was climbing down the ladder, a loud explosion sounded from the house she had only moments ago vacated, almost knocking Lexwyn off of the ladder. The assassin quickly slid down the rest of the way as soon as she had stabilized onto the ladder once more, and as she slid down, she caught a glimpse of Luna quickly wiping a mortified look from her face, becoming one of stony blankness quicker than Lexwyn thought that she herself might have been able to pull off. Her wounds still pained her, but danger was still likely nearby, and so Lexwyn only had a moment to rest before Luna said; "There are three tunnels from here. One of them leads to a large maze that spans most of the city. We could get almost anywhere from there, but we'd be at a big risk of getting lost. The second is almost a straight shot to the docks. That's where Lara said she would meet me if..... If we ever got separated. The last will take us maybe two blocks away, and then back up to the surface." The girl tried to hide her distress, and even did an admirable job of it, though her voice held a barely noticeable hint of uncertainty.

"You've lived here at least as long as I have. Which one would you think would be best?" From her long experience of living here, Lexwyn knew that the docks often had a decent number of lesser demons crawling about, particularly at night, but they were fairly easy to avoid so long as one was quick and careful. The other two options were up to her to decide between, as both had their own pros and cons.
