Its completely justified and reasonable for people to be suspicious about this.
Patreon gives way too much free reign to creators - no quality control, no deadlines, no refunds etc. You basically give complete strangers your money and hope they dont spend everything on booze and whores and actually release something worthwhile from time to time.
I support several porn creators on Patreon and they all have 2 things in common: 1) i like their content 2) they release patches at least once per 2 months. Unless its charge per major release in which case i dont care how long it takes.

And I completely agree with you about that.
We spoke with our patreons and they know that everything has been finished except "shaping up the story" I've also mention that we have some good news about LoTv and the crew. I know it's been a very long time after the last update has been released. We had some major issues in our lives. Of course I'm not gonna talk about that, that's a past. The important thing now is that I truly believe we're getting back on track and the reason why I'm so sure it's because the good news I'm gonna share with you guys after the patch is released. Thank you for understanding and sorry for my poor grammar, "K" (translator) is on vacation.

You're supporting the CREATORS, not the game, if you're not happy with what you're getting the best you can do is unfollow, how can you prove he won't just take a year to post something? He's entirely in his right.

What if he has bills to pay and can't work on "per major release"? Would you rather he would not develop the game AT ALL? Which is what makes me cringe sometimes is that people crack the whip, complain that the updates are slow, and then NOT pledge, as a fucking pirate (and I'm not saying it's you, I'm saying it's in general) when a project dies and it's usually excess of piracy leading into lack of support, or the author getting tired of working in the game, many times because of reason #1.

And after people bitched about it for months, years even, the author ceases activity, gets another job and people go like "aww what a damn shame, I liked that game and now I can't pirate it anymore", then how about SUPPORTING IT and not be a fucking asswipe? Again, this is in general, not aimed towards you directly.

NOW, I was going to say "did any of you thought about asking him directly whats going on instead of assuming things?"

But Apparently PandP came here and communicated himself, which is another thing I find hilarious when people say "he's not communicative enough", did you try to communicate with him?!

Seriously, people on the outside sometime just make the dumbest assumptions, which is the problem with the internet, you can literally state anything and not have to back it up, which goes against the saying "if you don't have anything positive to say don't say anything at all", but everyone feels that their discontempt message even tho most of the times they don't even support the authors, is like the fucking Jesus second coming and needs to be heard.

Good luck with the future of your game PandP. Key' made me a fan.

Lily of the Valley, Innocence lost and Kristi's revenge were the games that let me know about the patreon website. I'm happy if Lily is back and I think patrons always deserve much respect, ok. I just started and I have only 30 patrons but I talk to them every day, they help me and I make decisions together with them. Everyone can have problems in real life, but ok, writing an answer it takes a few seconds or minutes.

And now that I am creating my game, I know how long it takes to make a good game. Sometimes even 10 days for a 10 minute scene... And I'm alone, I'm not English and my pc is not powerful and 5 months ago I did not know what was rpg maker and daz studio. I'm still learning. I understand now why a creator can have problems.

If only everyone understands it... I will always be grateful to those who help me, but it's impossible to know when an update will be finished. Sometimes I think, "ok, today I'll do 10 new pictures" and then in the evening: "Today I did only 2 pictures because I had problems with an image; I had to spend 2 hours for clothes, poses, lights and starting and stopping render to find the best quality result and other 3 hours to finally render my image.

... I don't talk to you about making a custom animation... for one I spent 10 days!... 10 days!!! :O

Creating a game, a good game, is not easy. Now I know.

Good work to all creators and always thanks to all patrons.
