And that's where you're wrong. I like dating sims too. They're good time wasters and sometimes pretty good fapping material. But you make it seem way deeper than they actually are.

I've just grown up with dating sims. And they actually helped me get a girlfriend. I'm not sure how either, but since it's the only thing that could have helped me, I give credit where I think credit is due. It would probably help that the girlfriend I got with these "skills" is Japanese... I dunno.

Woo, incessant attacks. Dating sims showed me that I AM a good guy. It showed me that not every girl is a complete slut... I seriously used to think that girls were gone, that all that was left was sluts and lesbians. (not that lesbians are bad. Just that I can't date them.)

You need a game to tell you that your... Fuck it. You win. Dating sims are the greatest thing known to man. There should be dating sims in our schools, at work, at home, everywhere. They're clearly the thing people need to better themselves.

Siiigh. Whatever. I wasn't looking for your approval. I used to have low self-esteem. I had no friends. My family hated me. So when a certain kind of game helps me realize I'm not that horrible, I am likely to like that particular genre. I'm not saying there should be dating games everywhere. I'm just saying in my particular circumstance, dating sims are good. Holy crap. Maybe I should just stop posting, if everyone is just going to attack me for everything I say...

Anyway.
Dating sims are not just porn material, most dating sims don't have porn, being games, one should play them to beat them, for self-satsfaction, like people play halo or PES, you do it to prove you can do it and brag about it. If you see them as obvious or impossible you either lack the ability to determine the best choice based on the information given and the common sense base or you have only played dating sims on newgrounds...
Besides darkfire, one can find one's truth in anything, as long as said truth brings forth improvement in one's way to see life, it does not matter what the source might be, for the hardest thing for one to realize is a truth about one's self.
So don't judge or ridicule the source of one's truth, for the source doesn't matter, what matter is that one finds truth.
For those who probably didn't get that, i'll offer an example:
It does not matter if it's a god, a king, your father, an homeless, or one of those flyers you find stuck on you'r car windshield to tell you that getting drunk and beating your 4 years old daughter half to death is wrong, for the source it comes from(as weird and stupid it may look) won't make it any less wrong.
