Re: [Lunasoft] Dungeons & Heroines

is here any chance to get a direct link to the game:)
there is a link in anime sharing(torrent and direct), google the name and it's like ¿first? the link is safe 99.99% of the time in AS so it's ok.

Patch 1.02 released. Fixes a bug which prevents weapon upgrades and degradation from functioning properly. As before, download the patch from the official product website.

Was anyone able to download the patch from their site? I keep getting an error.

EDIT- nvm its just a really crappy and/or busy server. I just had to keep trying until I was finally able to get it.

Re: [Lunasoft] Dungeons & Heroines

Finished the game on Hell difficulty, updated the guide I posted earlier with some updated information.

The bestiary follows below. I have decided to translate the names of the enemies into English when possible, at any rate they should be easily identified by their index number.

1. Cave rat - Weak and a punching bag. Use these to gain XP and raise character level.
2. Octopus - Slightly tougher than the rat. Dangerous in groups in open areas early on.
3. Slime - Note the abnormally high physical defence. Use magic since they only have 3HP.
4. Lizardman - A challenge when they first appear. Manageable once equipment has been obtained and upgraded.
5. Speedy rat - Can move two squares or move and attack in one turn. Otherwise not dangerous.
6. Worm - Special ability decreases strength by one each time. Somewhat durable.
7. Poison slime - Same as the slime but attacks have a chance of poisoning Airi.
8. High Lizardman - An upgrade over the standard lizardman. Immobilise it or run away if equipment and level aren't up to the challenge.
9. Killer bee - Small fry for the second dungeon.
10. Paralysing bee - Chance to paralyse with each attack makes it surprisingly dangerous if teamed up with other monsters.
11. Goblin - Stronger than the octopus, but not by much.
12. Silverback - 4-armed gorilla monster which packs a punch. Decent HP as well.
13. Elemental - First enemy in the game using long-range attacks. Any spells from wands or the magician outfit special ability will be reflected back onto Airi. If players can close the distance, they are easily killed thanks to low HP.
14. Goblin thief - Stronger variant of the goblin. Special ability steals one item from Airi's inventory before teleporting away to a random part of the dungeon. When they are found again, they will move back and forth between two squares and will attempt to maintain distance from Airi. Without help from spells, trying to reclaim the stolen item will always entail at least one first strike from the thief.
15. Evil eye - Hypnotism special attack temporarily disables player control over Airi. She will instead do one random action (unequip item, use wand, drink potion etc.) and will only regain control if the evil eye doesn't repeat the hypnotism attack.
16. Drake - Occasionally shoots a fireball in Airi's direction if encountered. High HP and decent damage.
17. Acid slime - Lower HP than the other slimes and doesn't directly attack Airi. Occasionally uses the special ability which degrades swords and shields, reducing their effectiveness. Will sometimes split into two upon physical attack with the new "half" having 1HP.
18. Poisonous rat - Same double move as the speedy rat with the added special ability of a poisonous attack. Still weak, but the poison is a nuisance.
19. Heat slime - Long-range fireball attack if lined up with Airi. The fireball is damaging but it can be alleviated using the heat-resistant shield.
20. Dragon follower - Human magicians with weak physical attacks but annoying long-range spells. Repertoire includes knockback and swap position spells. Like the elemental, any offensive spell used against him will be reflected back onto Airi.
21. Orc - Big and beefy. Kill them before the strong physical attacks wear Airi down.
22. Goblin assassin - These take the form of a red potion or dungeon exit when encountered on the map. If players try to take the item or leave the dungeon, they will reveal their true form and get first strike. Occasionally they will throw a potion of weakness instead reducing Airi's strength by one. Once players figure out their habitats, it's a simple matter of "attacking" suspect potions or dungeon exits to eliminate the sneak attack.
23. Drain Octopus - Octopus variant with the ability to reduce Airi's character level as a special attack. Dangerous when in groups with other monsters.
24. Red elemental - Fire-based long ranged attacks. Heat-resistant shield helps against them.
25. Demon - A brute of a monster. High health and high damage.
26. Cursed eye - Evil eye upgrade. In addition to hypnotism, it can curse any type of equipment in Airi's inventory (with the exception of the blessed shield). It's incorporeal so it can attack from a wall square forcing Airi to relocate until it moves onto a square which can be attacked.
27. Dread Knight - Melee monsters with a special ability to disarm Airi's sword or shield and send it flying across the room or corridor. Any items physically thrown against them will be caught and thrown back at Airi.
28. Scaled worm - Stronger worm variant
29. High orc - More dangerous orc variant.
30. True dragon follower - Notable for his confusion spell which is very annoying if Airi can't counter the effect. High priority target when encountered in groups.
31. Magma slime - 4HP slime variant. Long-range fire attack in a line like the heat slime. Also as a special magma attack which allows it to target Airi from an extreme range for 10HP damage. If encountered, don't run away. Kill it or it will finish off Airi with the magma attack unless she somehow gets out of range. Absurdly dangerous when multiples spawn in a monster house.
32. Ice elemental - Very damaging elemental variant. Shields need to be +30 or above to bring the damage down to single digits.
33. Goblin gang - Stronger variant of the goblin thief. Unless Airi can kill them in one hit, best to equip the steal-guard shield to counter the thieving ability.
34. Greater demon - Stronger than the demon. Special stamina reducing attack.
35. Gorgon eye - Stronger variant of the cursed eye.
36. Knight of Naraku (Abyss) - Stronger variant of the Hell Knight.
37. Goldback - Stronger variant of the silverback. Special ability of throwing potions of blindness or poison at Airi before engaging in melee.
38. Doppelganger - Purple coloured sprite of Airi in school uniform. Physical attacks which fail to finish it off at once might split the doppelganger into two seperate entities like the acid slime.
39. Chaos elemental - In addition to extremely painful projectile attacks, there's a high chance that successful attacks will confuse Airi making this enemy lethal in corridors.
40. Extreme dragon follower - In addition to confusion, it uses the same fireball spell which Airi can cast from a wand of fire for 40 damage.
41. Niaratotep - In addition to all the abilities that the Gorgon eye uses, the strongest of the evil eye variants can blind Airi with its special attacks and can transform any item in Airi's inventory (except equipped sword, shields and bracelets) into the rotting cupcake. Needless to say, this is extremely annoying and makes this enemy high priority in groups. Try to whittle it down from range to make life easier.
42. Rindblum's Kin - Strongest lizardman variant. Special attacks can blind Airi and the physical attacks hit really hard.
43. Drain worm - In addition to the strength sapping special attack, this worm variant can also drain Airi's character level. One reason not to take on multiple enemy spawns in an open area in the deepest dungeons.
44. Phantom - Thankfully loses the confusion special ability that the chaos elemental had, in return it can move through walls (like the cursed eye and higher variants) and its attacks can blind Airi.
45. Archdemon - Strongest demon variant. Stamina drain and blind in its list of special abilities. Hits like a truck and just as hardy with 90HP.
46. Flame dragon Nieshek - Drake upgrade. Same fireball attacks from range, also shares the magma ability used by the magma slime to attack Airi from an extreme distance. If seen, kill it or get incinerated trying to run away.
47. Orc general - Toughest orc variant.
48. Hell rat- If it isn't the double-move and high attack rating which kills Airi, it's the poison and blind effect that follows upon each successful attack. The poison is very potent, if allowed to run its course it can take off more than half of Airi's total HP.
49. Evil dragon Rindblum - The final boss. Thankfully doesn't do anything other than standard melee attacks. Due to its special undying ability, players need to hold out and defeat the dragon a specified number of times by difficulty level before "giving up" to finish the game. The dragon levels-up each time it is killed but it gives enough XP to do the same for Airi. Going into battle with the deady flash buff from Fis makes the battle tedious.

I might have missed a few special abilities or misremembered the order in which the enemy variants gain special attacks but the above should be accurate as of version 1.02.

How do you get the DLC outfits?

Auto translate on their website says "Download version purchase priviledge" and "Package version purchase priviledge"
I bought the game from DLsite, but I'm not sure if it includes these outfits as well.

You don't.
DLsite version has the alternate Maid outfit. Once you've unlocked the default version, the DLC variant follows soon after.
Package version (i.e. a hardcopy one requiring installation from a CD, which some players are too young to even recognise) has the bikini armour outfit (Warrior class skin) instead.
Downloading from the product website gives the magician outfit skin for free. Just follow the instructions on how to enable it in the game after downloading.

Nah, it's standard practice in Japan to have different seller have different premium bonus. It's usually a trivia you can do without. You just chose the seller for the best (for you) bonus.
Sadly, some companie have extra H scene as bonus, which make piracy a nearly must have because you won't buy 6 time the same game to get 1 extra scene per girl and a harem scene (look hard at Guilty....).

I'm not losing any sleep from missing an outfit skin, nor is it a gameplay loss because it's clearly cosmetic. Galleries for the entire game with all cosmetic DLC are available for reference anyway.

Xenophobic and entitled consumers who have no idea what the market practices for adult games outside their home country are like will neither care nor take local realities into consideration before casting judgement.

I think it's a bit farfetched to regard someone as xenophobic for disagreeing with this practice. Just because this is something that the industry has been getting away with for a long time doesn't make it less of an inconvenience for the consumer.

At the end of the day, no matter what avenue you pursue to acquire the game, you are getting an incomplete experience and the only (legitimate) solution is to buy the same product multiple times in order to get the complete experience.
They could've easily just made them available for purchase as individual DLC, like they do with the content for their other game, Dungeon Legion.

The fact that it's cosmetic doesn't make it less of a big deal, especially since we're talking about a PORN GAME, the cosmetic element plays a bigger role than in other genres.

Get real.
Dungeon's Legion was the first game for Lunasoft which was digital only, so the circle's practice of a pre-purchase goodie depending on outlet was stopped. Only two places to buy Dungeon's Legion, so little point in setting up pre-order goodies given how easily it is to pirate them anyway. As for its DLC, it was fan demand which brought that into being. It's also completely different from a cosmetic change like this game since the new DLC heroines bring a new game mechanic in addition to their H-scenes (which is content possessing value that can be monetised for consumers).

Every single professional H-game from Japan has pre-order bonuses just like Lunasoft (who are still an amateur outfit despite their production values). This is not "getting away with it". Different pre-order goodies (poster, in-game content, soundtrack etc.) for different stores is an agreement with vendors to distribute the business and mitigate risks of keeping everything in one basket. It is the very rich and fanatic Otaku who goes to every single outlet selling a game for all of the pre-order goodies, most simply pick the bonus they want and stick with it. It doesn't lessen the experience for them since one missing DLC is not going to be a deal-breaker, unlike entitled consumers from other countries imposing their morals and values. Post #69 mentions some companies which do add extra scenes as pre-order bonuses for certain stores, which validates your point but doesn't incite a consumer boycott for "customer inconvenience" and "incomplete gameplay experience". Plus any non-18+ DLC content has a chance of finding its way onto Youtube for non-consumers to see what they missed out.

Does one buy H-games expecting everything bundled in the way Steam and other Western online gaming stores do with their products? In Japan, the answer is no. You buy something because you want the base game, the extras being a nice bonus.

If you feel so cheated at losing out on the bikini armour, look up the pics for this game on the usual online gallery. They've got the whole collection of CGs for all of the costume skins.

Six years is a long time, even for Japanese 18+ games. Lunasoft gave up on physical editions because they weren't economically viable, but up to the latest game the usual practice was the same as other companies in the industry.

Under the same logic, why even bother buying the game at all? Just get the CG rip on e-hentai or some other gallery site and watch videos of all the scenes online.

I do not think expressing dissatisfaction with the fact that the developer purposely made content from the game mutually exclusive and only available through probably discontinued methods constitutes entitlement. Heck I even mentioned I'd have no problem if the missing content was available behind a paywall. Right now the only means to acquire it is piracy.

My issue is with the availability of the content in the long term. It comes across as compromising the quality of the final product for the sake of short-term monetization.

Whatever, we each have our own opinions and they are unlikely to change. It's pointless to keep arguing and bumping this thread to frontpage.
I don't care about this game enough anyway, bought it, played the first stage, saw that it was not for me and deleted it.

ur arguing with a notorious toxic fanboy, i'm glad he makes threads for games but god his takes are dogshit. he makes gacha fanboys look reasonable so don't expect anything constructive from arguing with that type. the guy downplays everything and picks a fight on every thread he comes across where people criticizes anything on.
