Thief using Hide is seriously broken. I've had situations where a Thief was able to take out entire teams where each individual could one-shot them, simply by hiding.

There was a time when i could've probably cheesedicked out the red dragon if i kept it up, but i didn't want to grind out that fight like that, lol.

Found a secret magic shop out in the polaris temple side of sapphire city. It sells Warp for 360k. unfortunately, i don't have that in this save, will update later unless someone else does it first.

"ワープの魔法を唱えた!
しかし、ワープ駆動装置が停止中でワープできない!"
-=-
"You cast a warp spell!
However, the warp drive is down and you can't warp!"

I guess it just isn't available in the demo, or i have to do something else to get it to work.

Also buying the warp spellbook she yammers on for awhile and gives you a treasure chest key (I assume to open the box out front of her place), where we can find 4 image rune squares we've seen in previous demos, and a text scroll depicting them in a certain way.

for some extra releases/uses that might not have been mentioned iirc:

(Thin plain looking) Gold Ring can be "power released" for a party-full heal? 9999 hp, i assume it will fix status problems and revive, but don't know yet.

(thicker band, greenish-blue gem) Gold magician's ring [+10 int when equipped] can be "power released" for restoring spell slots (9 on the party in the text says mp).

(Spiral-topped plain looking) Healing Staff can be "used" for a row-aoe heal.

-=[ The following two are cursed, so you can't unequip them without decursing or busting them via power release.

(Blackish-blue scale) Demon's Shield can be "power released" for +10hp, +1 vit, change alignment to very evil [ 極悪 ], AND petrify.

(Small skull) Ring of Death can be "power released" to die. literally does the instant-kill animation on the character portrait. looks like no bonuses, just death.

Just in case it needs to be said, "use" means double-click then if need be, choose target/s, or possibly the top option in the item menu, i think
While "power release" can only be done from the inventory screen in the item's right-click menu, must be equipped. See gold ring image for the 'power release' option spot.

Images added so there's no confusion or if the translation made has a different name than i got from just handwriting kanji into google translate

Aww, i liked that bug, a bit, lol. I could pretend i've spent almost 500k hours in this

play time bug lol.jpg

Edit:
Uh oh, something's wrong, i don't think i'm supposed to have this many buttons
uh oh time spaghettios.jpg

Entering the door to the next room here errors with a void/object error.

error here don't go further.jpg Which this place is here: slider puzzles here.jpg

But going that far completes the quest given in seaside town? okaaay?

Also god i hate these pain in the ass slider puzzles. Just revealing the room enough to see it the first time, means you have to reset it.

Reward for quest is a shitload of exp, and this little interesting doohicky

waterbreathing oh boy.jpg

Purple (Time) Witch final puzzle ALSO rewards a waterbreathing mystic shell charm. oh boy.

Oh yeah, and down there, with the purple witch, is a couple of MAX MP barrels. Ain't seen those before. Literally more spell slots, all the way across the board for the character...and there's two of them!

Okay, i think saving and loading in the same spot, too close together will duplicate a timeswitch into your inventory. the time switches at the park are free, you can just take them home. I now have 6 time switches.

So, amusing trick... I just accidently ID'd a "whip" and forgot the place dropped the cursed sling bikini, which immediately slapped itself onto my sorceress, and i forgot to save before so i could dupe another timwswitch but i then remembered i had what was obviously the cursed see-through swimsuit top, so i had her ID that, and it proceeded to unequip the cursed sling bikini, and attach itself to her instead, allowing me to put her black skirt back on.

So, interestingly, you could uncurse more expensive cursed items by cursing yourself with cheaper cursed items...

Also if you wanted, apparently, you can have classes that can't normally equip a thing, equip a cursed one, which may or maynot actually make use of a slot they don't have anything for currently... Since my Sorceress also got cursed with the dark round shield... which i'm pretty sure sorcerer can't equip any shields at all, and it would still be like 4 AC or some shit, though it does narf 12 weight on her... HMMM...

Does Power Release destroy the item in the process?

Also, does anyone remember what storefront did Leanne games come out through?
Once the game is complete will dev need to go through something like DLsite approval process that might add extra delay until release?

Yes, power release will destroy the item.

I was up to 9 time switches, lol.

Also, Hunters are unreliable trap disarmers, apparently. Stick with thief or assassins. Kindof sucks since thief doesn't get any spell slots or carryover from class-changing except some hp gains, since apparently you have a minimum of +1 max hp per level.

And since i've mentioned it here, i started a freemode run where i used all basic classes, to class-change later on purpose. This might be the best long-term plan, though a warrior isn't really getting much out of it.

Gnome Warrior/Fairy Cleric/Elf Thief/Dwarf Summoner/Human Wizard/Elf Alchemist
changed into
Gnome Lord/Fairy Dervish/Elf Dervish/Dwarf Hunter/Human Druid/Elf Sorcerer

slightly hampered by alignments, and realizing later that the human/dwarf only bow is actually weaker than other options that have gotten bigger buffs, but it was too late to not go on with it. I thought hunter would work well enough as a thief replacement, than to try to drag around a lv20 thief who can't gain levels anymore until that damn little thief dagger dropped so she could be an assassin, unfortunately, hunter keeps goofing the traps, or guessing incorrect, while a thief seemed to be 100% correct/100% disarm chance. I intended the cleric to change to bishop, but alignment got in the way since i made her Good and not Sacred... though she upgraded to sacred after enough "let the enemy go" options about 12 levels into dervish.

If alignment fuckery/items and such are collectible in time, it would've been best for my alchemist to go bishop instead of sorcerer, because two characters with all three spell types and slots for all of them would've been super useful, but alas.

Also needs more testing, but it seems like stat gain is entirely random, or it can't decide if class or race means more, watched lvs 1-18-ish my summoner(dwarf) outpace my warrior(gnome) in STR by a large margin, but now the Elf Dervish is blowing everyone out of the water STR wise, but she's also losing the vit race really badly to the FAIRY Dervish.

And lastly, for this part of my findings, i'd suggest leaving every max hp and stat barrel other than mp for much later, because changing class removes the main 6 stat gains, and max hp will bite you later because the game has some kind of rubberband effect for hp, where if you have too much you gain very little on level up, but if you're very behind, you get big chunks (IE: see Milady or Sandra gain a level and watch them get like 100-200hp, but if you suck every max hp barrel between levels you're gonna get +1 hp on level for a while). MP barrels though, just make sure you have unlocked the spell types you want, because i think it doesn't give you the extra slot for spell lists you don't have yet.

Doesn't Hunter get to carry over all Summoner pets?

Also what were your Speed and Luck stats on the hunter? Can't remember how, but one of those is supposed to affect traps.

You carry over all spells and slots you got prior, no matter the class.

Unsure about the stats in particular, she's currently lv12 with 21 agility and 16 luck, and it's kindof a crapshoot, though i am throwing her into the high end dungeons to loot post-fight chests, but i had even some low-end rock chests go off on her. I think thief just has an improved ability for it.

Not that thief is weak otherwise, once you get some of those later daggers, you're hitting as hard or harder than the other martial types in melee, or slapping the backrow for decent damage with ranged weapons or hide-attacks, and can dual-wield. Thief as a class is great, and needs rather little investment to do well, there's just no spell slots to carry over, and hp isn't robust, so it might be more of a class to change into for the longer haul than one to start with and change out of without having someone else step into that role.

Edit: loaded a few old saves with the thief still a thief, (lv18, agi 39/luk 24) you might be right, but it'd need some checking out. Running a hunter from the start, which is generally kindof terrible to do, since they don't get more summons, and their combat prowess is good, but not crazy. I don't like saying it, but hunter is kindof a poor class, and i like bows.

I'm starting to also get suspicious the game generates with a random seed, because rng between groups seems weird, i keep getting the same drops with the same groups, but other items become mysteriously rarer with different groups.

After my complaint about normal gloves not existing, my next group found 4 by lv 8. now this group, i've found zero again, and i've gone from 1-20 then reclassed back up to 16, grinding for drops...
With a prior team i was flooded with golden cross shields, had like 8, also 3-4 gold bucklers, never got to lv20. This team, not a single one of either. But they're certainly finding a LOT of light armor bottoms, and slave armors, unusually high amounts.

Fancy red staff has a release [ Master's Stick ]: Change class to monk. ot the most useful, considering it can only otherwise be used by a Druid, but it cna ignore alignment. It's also really good on it's own.

Finally got around to actually trying the translated demo. Amazing what a difference it makes when you actually understand what's going on, and I was happy to see the game actually plays like.... a game. A fairly low bar to hit, but one that is usually missed.

Hope the final game gets similar treatment, this one actually seems enjoyable.

Also, Hunters are unreliable trap disarmers, apparently.
I immediately created a bard (gnome) instead of a thief in free mode. And yes, this is also quite problematic. Opening doors, it opens, but with traps it's just a disaster at first, and the enemy squad is not so dangerous as getting loot. However, it opens simple traps almost flawlessly now, but sometimes misses traps from enemies of its level (currently 13).Speed - 16, luck - 20.

I fear the game's gonna get delayed again because the dev's been spending so much time fixing the demo.

It makes sense to fix the demo if it's the same as on the dlsite - if not, well xD -
at least no, patreon etc. No money milking shit at least when it comes to that.
If they work more on their communication it would be great.
-
Is it worth starting with the demo now to grind a bit, etc.? Save will be transferred, as far as I've heard.

Yeah, dev has said that save data from this demo will be able to be carried over to the full game.

Historically, this dev has always had lots of bugs on initial release, BUT they are also generally good about fixing said bugs given some time. I expect to wait a bit before the game is truly in a stable state.

Just to make sure, delay confirmed for month of may? looking at their site for updates is confusing.

I mean doesn't the game warn you that save won't carry over once you enter free mode?
I always felt like the prologue sections that are summarized will actually contain more content in the full version, like the circumstances why MC and Max have to leave the first town, or how you get Max back in the party. I'm gonna start a fresh run anyway to see everything the full version has to offer.

Main incentive to play the demo is to try out that "Experience Dungeon" since there's a sign that says that area will be in ruins in full release.
