What's new

VN/TEXT RPG Active NTR [Makura cover soft] Dungeon and Bride

I think what was missing back then was mostly art. And he probably added new ideas as time passed.
Main issue I see is that he seems to do the work twice, which is insane.
Once in the "full game" behind closed door, then he cuts off the full game and releases a demo, full of bugs probably because of the fact it was cut off.
No wonder it's slow as hell.

As for release date, honestly I think it doesn't matter anymore what he announces. The proof is in the pudding, aka when he actually releases it.
Well..... it's going to be hard to claim he's a lazy dev, at least....

You can be the most motivated worker out there, but if all you do is to dig then cover holes for the sake of it, it won't be very useful...

Isn't trust the value you need in order to be able to share room with girls?
Dunno, I haven't played this game since last year and my potato brain can't remember anything regarding the Trust points, must not have been important to me back then, huh.
But now that I read this line again, somehow I realized, I can't really understand what it means exactly and assume stuff since there is the word 'chastity' in it :ROFLMAO:
...
The restriction of being in the same room with men and women carrying cursed items is affected by the value of "chastity concept", which is initially defaulted to 90 points. Being knocked down by monsters and being captured will reduce this value.
The restrictions related to chastity concept in the current version have been changed to trust.
...

No doubt.... he may be the definition of working harder and not smarter.

Actually, he works Harder and Smarter, it's just that the smart comes after the hard works was done, like twice...
Anyway, after all the thrashing and stuff, I really, Really, do look forward to this game, facts.

True, and same. They might churn out a bethesda level or worse buggy mess at start, but it gets fixed and the core gameplay design is solid, if oldschool.

New blog update with progress on the game, it seems that July might be the month for release.

I might be naive but I find it quite promising, I feel like we are really at the end of the tunnel here, we’re getting there!

ver3.15
Fixed that the information of the item was wrong when damaged cursed equipment was appraised and forced to be equipped.
Fixed that an event does not occur or becomes inoperable when moving with a key operation while holding down a command button or a magic button.
Fixed that the hoard command was not working.
Fixed a bug in ver3.09 where normal weapons were able to inflict damage on physically disabled enemies.
Fixed a bug in the display when evading the trap of a whore's tentacle.
Fixed some other minor bugs.

Uncensored demo assets, alpha version with some issues, a lot of honest work by @Alexander_rekaX

He's estimating a 40 hour playtime for one playthrough, if you're going for everything and not speedrunning.

That's exciting if true. There was a part of me that was worried that the demo covered a big portion of the playable area.

I wonder... i suppose that depends on how one goes about it, i can easily burn a pretty big chunk of that doing everything in the demo if i'm casually jogging along instead of trying to get somewhere in progression specific quickly... Course, i'm an exception who kindof hates moving too quickly in games such as this, i'm a big grinder/hoarder.

I don't think the demo plays into like more then 10 hours, even with grinding and whatnot (Unless you are including that pushing puzzle game, that took a while)

Plus I think out of the 12 collectables we only collected like what, 2?

I've already gotten 3 and looked at how to get the 4th - I just haven't been able to do it yet. Maybe because of the level limit, I'm losing one stage of the fight. But maybe the location of the stones will change in the final version.

When I first tied the curated demo from last year, I ended up playing it for 16 hours straight, pulling an all-nighter (completing less than 50% of all the content in the demo), telling myself "this is too good, I'm just gonna wait for the full release" and deleting the game.
Then I started all over again the following day and ended up completing all content the demo had to offer.
Subsequent runs were much faster because I already had elements of the game figured out and understood what I needed to do.
I am imagining that the game took the dev 40 hours in spite of all their knowledge regarding sequence of events, pathing, etc...

I think for someone experiencing the game for the first time, their first playthrough could easily drag to 100 hours.
I am hoping that Demo is only a fraction of all the content that is available, and am expecting 60-80 hours for my first playthrough of the completed game.
My guess is that once people figure the game out and memorize all routes and story, it'll probably be doable in 15-25 hours.

I always wonder, what the Trust points actually does in the game, except, possibly to advance the character story plot to a more 'positive relationship'. But if I understood that correctly, if this Trust points can somehow circumvent the NTR progression, then I'm all in on this.
Isn't trust the value you need in order to be able to share room with girls?
Literally the only thing Trust does is bar other men from sharing a room with that woman when she has a low value (indicated by the chevron). This excludes the protagonist. I haven't seen anything in the files that reduces it nor seen it affected by anything in gameplay.
NTR progression (for max / linus) as is is straightforward and exactly what you see. It progresses every time they are in a room and the woman has a heat over 100 after all increases in a wholly linear fashion.
If they reach 50 hearts the affected party member will reserve rooms at random on their own. This includes generic slaves!
a certain other party member operates in the same manner but bypasses the guard mechanic wholesale. He has a lot of non-penetrative events as well, prior to an event locked well into the mid/late game.
'Chasity concept' I think was probably too clunky for all the things it did. The basic concepts have been spun off into other mechanics, or scrubbed from the demo.
To be more specific, letting a party member be raped by monsters punishes you by increasing their desire (making heat easier to increase) and by increasing Lover Count.
At 10 "lovercount' the 'like protag' flag is disabled which doesn't seem to outright stop events from firing but does stop you from getting more hearts, ever. Other requirements are dev over 30 or any one pregnancy.
There is another element split off it, Moral, which is another morality meter. It does a couple minor flavor things and one quest uses it, the naked modelling quest. It's hidden and very little affects it.

I think the third demo is probably intended to be the DLsite demo, hence it being smaller and more restrictive. It got pushed out the door early since the game got delayed to much. I suspect Futon could not get a lot of the more expansive mechanics to work properly and decided it would be easier to scrap them rather than suffer from further scope creep on an already huge project.
