If one thing people don't like its getting their expectations and hopes up and getting let down. I don't feel like he owes anyone anything either. But most people don't like emotions being messed with and saying your going to release something then saying nope sorry 23 times now leads to some pissed off people. Not everyone is emotionally stable so they lash out. I also plan on buying it from DL site whenever it comes out because if its going to be anything like the first one its going to be good.

Wow, this is taking some time. Don't tell me dlsite rejected his game due to bugs.

There hasn't been any formal announcement (other than "February"), but given the multitude of delays with this dev the best estimate at release date is something I've said a few times now.

To wit: It'll be done when it's done.

I don't think it's been submitted to DLSite though. My understanding is that while the Dev's are fairly confident in the "master" copy of their game, they're also taking the time to finish an up-to-date demo version before submitting it all to DLSite et al.

What's the point in an updated demo. When the real game is ready? :confused:

Now is the time for them to earn their money and silence their critics. The demo can be updated later since the older existing demo still exists.

To sell the game? A better demo shows more of what the game has to offer. Also, I'll allow us to move over savedata to the full game I'd imagine.

Because when they release the game, a lot more people will try out the demo since not everyone would've been stalking their game all these years.

So if the old demo is used and give a false impression of the final product, that'd result in less sales.

Your rival in the first game is an old fat fuck. There are none in the second game though.

I'm sure he'll post when the game gets scheduled for release delay on dlsite. Plus since he's updating the trial it'll be the first thing we can grab I believe. Let's just wait it out.

Marketing is actually as important, if not moreso, than the product itself. Lining up all the marketing materials and arranging for coverage and/or advertising is time consuming. Marketing is most effective when it's timed with the release, since people are more likely to become interested in a game if they hear about it from multiple sources in rapid succession. Especially in Japan, initial impressions and sales are very important.

I'm surprised the game has attracted this level of interest. The first one is a favorite of mine, so I've been anxiously refreshing the blog each day for the past 1-2 months waiting for news. I might review the game on my blog if I like it as much as the first one.

Early February pushed back to Mid February. Probably soon will be pushed back to late February and then March lol

The banner image on the game's website updated a few hours ago. It changed from Early February release date to Middle February.

The blog now says something to the effect of "product submission has begun". That means that the product will likely go on sale on DLsite sometime next week. The DLsite English release will likely occur sometime after that, perhaps a week or two later based on the release dates of Makenshi Leane.

Disclaimer on the above: That would be assuming that the application process goes smoothly, censorship has been applied adequately and all that jazz. I've seen a handful of games be delayed by something in that mess, and with this particular game I think it's best to only count on it being released after it has been released.

But woot. At least the last of the last release processes has begun.

how come some of the CG on the game's website are censored and some aren't?

for example:

-there's a green haired girl (chloe?) who's laying on a bed, and that's censored.
-there's a purple haired girl (couldn't find her on the characters page) on a bed but it's uncensored.
-there's one with leane and the king, and the penis is censored, but the vagina isn't.

i'm used to mosaics by now so i don't really care, but are there some kind of specific rules or has he just not gotten around to blurring them?

i'm not asking you specifically like i expect you to know but you mentioned censorship so i might as well ask now instead of bumping later on.

if anyone could offer some insight into this completely pointless thing i wonder about i'd be grateful. :p
