And by 'talk' he means drop a few more bombs on their asses. Well, heads would technically be right unless they have their ass up in the air.
How else would they get their heads that far up their own asses?

Quote from a person on another forum.

"You're reading it wrong, they're not BANNING anime of those types, they are just going to be shoved to the ADULT seciton. Out of the reach of minor's. Some of them might stay available to the 18- age range, so long as its not too obscene. But if its decided it is, off to the 18+ section it goes. It won't affect us none, since we're adults, we can view whatever the damn hell we please. But the more risque anime might not be allowed onto tv, or if it is it will most likely be vastly censored, but uncensored once it reaches the adult section. "
Except that unlike here in America, if an anime/manga/game is going to be forced into the Adults only section, most companies won't even bother to produce it at all, and most places won't stock it.

Think about series like Ranma 1/2, Yu Yu Hakusho, Love Hina, Rurouni Kenshin, hell even Lucky Star being forced into an adult section where no one under 18 could access them, and you'd be ID'd before you could get to them. ID'd for Lucky Star of all things (it contains loli nudity). Most people wouldn't bother.

Personally, what I'm sure this will do is cut off a lot of new and original anime/manga from even being produced due to heavy restrictions, and for the stuff already existing, internet downloads that don't require proof of age will skyrocket and the actual in-store sales will take a nosedive into the crapshoot.

Oh, and in the latest update, the Tokyo International Anime Festival is all but canceled, with it's hosters claiming that "It is essentially impossible to hold the event." Congrats Tokyotards, you just killed several MILLION dollars in annual revenue for your city!

And that is why politics these days don't work. Theres so much counterproductive pandering that it would less painful if we all shot ourselves in the foot and skipped the middleman.
