You're a young adult female born in the town of Arbora. While life has been generally been normal, things in town are starting to change. Dead bodies are popping up out of nowhere and although no one recognizes these bodies, you feel like an even bigger event might happen soon...

Gameplay: In Lugdunia: The Rift, you play as female character. In future updates, you'll follow a storyline in an open world RPG. While currently you'll be able to conversate, shop and complete basic quests through collecting items, I plan to add real-time combat and town management to the game.

Town management is what will set the game apart from most other open-world RPG games. Over time, towns may grow unhappy, starve or even get corrupted. Through spending your money, you'll be able to upgrade the towns by building new buildings and save the towns you want to save while others will either get replaced or die out. (I plan to not make this annoying to the point where cities that you really want to save will die out. Cities will most often die out by choices you make in the game.)

In terms of combat, the map will have dungeons that lead you to different scenes in the game. Upon clearing these dungeons, you'll be able to gain loot, complete quests and earn CG's. I've never liked death-CG's myself as these force you to die in order to obtain a CG, often forcing you to walk all the way back to where you want to be.

Note: While I released 0.0.1.7 within 1 day from 0.0.1.5, I mainly did this to allow windows 7 users to experience the game as well. I'll generally stick to 1 build a month. Since 0.0.1.7 was done while I was making terrain changes, you may see some objects hovering above the terrain and the performance might be a bit lower than 0.0.1.5. I was working on the terrain to prepare for 0.0.2, didn't want to spend too much time refining for a fix build. :p Please read the changelogs.

SET MODEL QUALITY TO HIGH/ULTRA
Lower MODEL QUALITY settings have a small issue where they'll show impostors no matter the distance instead of the correct models. Don't worry, neither are very impactful on your FPS

Also your weather might change; didn't have time to test if I correctly removed it from this build. It's 5:54 Am at the time of writing this and I still need to go to bed

Note: 0.0.2 Is an update where I heavily worked on performance and creating the basics of systems I wanted to use, and created the actual world so I can start planning where different towns etc will be.

Considering that a lot of the basics are done, I can build upon that in 0.0.3, meaning 0.0.3 will be a heavy content update.
I also want to increase the quality of the currently existing content this means adding higher quality dialogue, giving more random NPCs dialogue, actually adding a good start / introduction to the world etc.

Also, 0.0.3 will be the last public update and I MIGHT transition to where patrons will be 1 month ahead of the public in regards to builds.. but I hope I'll have earned your support by then of course :p

All in all, I hope you can see the ton of work that went into 0.0.2, even though it didnt add too much in regards to content yet. That amount of work will go fully into content-related stuff next considering the fact that I am pretty happy with the game running from 50-80 FPS on my 8 year old system (Which can still be increased but the priority isn't as high anymore). Thanks for the support & interest.

0.0.2 May still have a couple of bugs, which I will hot-fix if necessary.

(I know I keep bringing up "groundwork" but really, when the basics are done, that means that in the future I can work MUCH faster!) -Added a potion to the player's inventory that allows the player to teleport back to the bed in their house in case they are stuck

Some of these are more rare than others. For example, some will have towns or camps and some will be unique. E.g. a rare occurrence.

Graphics
Graphics settings currently default to normal quality. Make sure to enable ultra quality if you think your PC can handle it! =)


Current gameplay
0.0.2 is mainly a walking & talking simulator, which will change in 0.0.3.
0.0.2 is very barebones and rough around the edges. Things that hint at a story are very incomplete, mainly because I focused on laying the groundwork for future updates instead. Personally I could make the choice between a very refined intro or laying the groundwork for future updates... I chose for the future updates as that increases the speed of my development and I don't like showing something high quality.. only for it to suddenly have very slow updates and not as high quality simply because I only cared about catching your interest right away. I realize catching your interest is important however, thus I hope you can see the potential the game has.

Scene quality is dependent on importance of a scene. Art is done by multiple artists as I've got a limited wallet on my own. (I make sure the actual sex scenes are up there in regards to quality.. in my opinion)

Story
The story is currently fairly non-existent. Conversations were rushed, not everything makes sense.
This will change over the course of 0.0.2 and 0.0.3 as I will have more mechanics introduced into the game. This includes Morning/day/night cycles, combat etc. For example, there was no point in showing an important event that would otherwise have happened at night by creating a quick night mock-up that wouldn't be related to the eventual system I'd implement. Creating this mock-up just to show a higher quality start of the game would indeed give this game more traction, but personally I don't like investing time in something that would undermine the speed of the development. With my current way of developing, everything can be fairly fast while everything gets refined along the way.

Current issues
Save/load currently does not work. (Didn't want to spend too much time on it yet as there's not THAT much content etc, I preferred working on laying extra groundwork for content so I could work on that for the next update better.)
Gallery does not include all the scenes (I didn't think there were enough for me to really work on the gallery as of right now.) Will be done in 0.0.3
I've chosen to make the first three versions of the game public (0.0.1, 0.0.2 and 0.0.3) as in my opinion the currently available content is not refined enough to force people to support me in order to access them.
You may ask yourself, why would my character want to learn how to use a bow? Including other questions like those; these will all be added to the game on the next updates.

Plans for 0.0.3 will be:
-Adding combat
-Actually enhancing the currently existing things.
What I mean by that is, I have already done most of the basic for things I can use in the future, meaning I can make some fast progress by actually starting to create more content.
Currently the story is weird, things happen out of nowhere and with no real indication to a story or anything. The quests don't really feel natural etc.
So for 0.0.3 I want to actually create an experience that feels like an actual start of a game rather than you just being thrown in somewhere and jumping into a couple of quests which you don't really know why you're doing it.
Basically 0.0.2 has a couple of "keyframes", now I just need to do the details.
