As much as I love this game and its sick perversions, I refuse to believe that depicting a girl getting anally raped by flies and giving gruesome birth to maggots and other flies to be less "injurious to public morals" than showing natural genitalia. I have become convinced that the reason they still censor porn is because they have developed some kind of weirdo censor fetish (y'know, the forbidden fruit aspect - really gets some people off). This whole Japanese censorship thing is so borderline retarded I REFUSE to believe that it is because of anything else.

This is the ground why i have ask, it´s really strange that you get fucked by Flies and Dogs and it´s legal for the Game, but would you see genitals it´s forbidden xD

Well this certainly has been an informative discussion.

One thing you all have to remember about the law is that (for any country) it is heavy, unwieldy, imperfect and changes at a glacial rate, this is especially true in Common Law countries.

Also it is perfectly normal to have laws that contradict each other, I used to study Australian Law and despite being relatively recent it's an absolute mess of pre and post colonial legislature, English common law...etc.

It is unable to keep up with the mores and values of contemporary society. Course there's a reason for this: if it could change drastically and rapidly its prescriptions would have less authority and would run the risk of sounding arbitrary.

Second mistake you're making is assuming that people are logical, rational beings. They aren't.

And third and finally it's best not to start waving too many flags back and forth in support of various nations. They're all arbitrary lines in the sand, and it doesn't take much digging to find something unpleasant in almost any country.

My country is known for the Croc Hunter, shrimps, bbqs, kangaroos and binge drinking. It isn't so well known as the country that methodically slaughtered an entire indigenous culture in Tasmania.

It's an old law, there wasn't as much porn of this kind and it was not as readily avaiable, the dark side of porn used to be in the dark, where only a small amount of determined or rich people would know about it. The was made for more common human-human porn. It was a simple law, made everyone happy(puritanists got their censorship and porno producers didn't lose their job). No one ever looked at it for more than simple reference, and things should stay as they are, you never know what kind of aberration could come out if some fool decided to revise it...

Moral: Censored porn can be uncensored, weird laws can only become weirder.

Whilst you guys were discussing laws, history and politics, I took up the task of translating the games' text files.

To install, just extract the archive in the nanocrisis main folder. The archive contains a folder which has all the english text files inside it, so, in order to replace japanese text, you need to overwrite the default text folder (the "SS" one) from the games main folder.

Disclaimer: I do not in any way read/speak/understand Japanese, with the exceptions of the words "hai", "sou desu", "arigatou" and "surimasen" (no, really, I'm not that polite). The translation has been done using google translate, babelfish, a shitton of online dictionaries, common sense and imagination (when all the others failed to provide something I could understand).
Also note that I am not a native english speaker, so if you spot some weird frazings/expressions/etc, please send me a PM and I'll try to make them sound better. :eek:

Now all we need to do is wait for the pregnancy update. :cool:

Thanks a great deal for the translation. Any idea how to use those in the game though? Extracted the folder in the most logical manner, into the game folder overriding the existing SS -folder, but the game still shows everything in Japanese. :/

Argh, sorry for forgetting the instructions :eek:

All you need to do is extract the archive inside the game's main folder. The default text files will not be replaced if you extract inside the "SS" folder.

In other words, inside the archive there is a folder containing all the text files. In order for that folder to replace the default text folder you need to extract in nanocrisis' main folder.

The translate is okay, but i have a Question:

Have you only translatet the Files of Story and Events (For example, dog fucks you onetime and the Text apears at the end) or have you translate all? Because i have at the left corner no translate when she gets fucked, it´s no need for me, but i would say it ;)


And thanks for this, now i have the Answer why dogs are so fucking crazy xD

I've translated only the story and events. The writting that appears in the upper left side of the screen when Reika gets humped is an image, and as far as I've seen, google translate can't handle images :p

However, I might go about trying to translate those as well sometime... I'll just have to find a way to get the exact same kanji simbols in a regular text format and it'll be a piece of cake.

Yeah excuse my English, this is exactly what I meant. I did this, all of the files in the SS folder were overwritten, and when checked with notepad they contain English text. Yet when I put the game on using the executable in the NanoCrisis20100830 -directory, everything is in Japanese.

So I'm wondering what's wrong. Clearly it gets the texts from somewhere else than the SS directory. IIRC this game didn't install anything though, it was just unpack + play, so I've no clue where it finds those texts then.

Try google goggles, it can translate text in images!

trying to get translation to work replaced overwrote old files etc... didnt work
re Dl'd nanocrisis for a new untouched file and tried again no luck ... would not work in game I wounder if is has anything to do with Jap regon settings ? mine are on atm

URL plz... I found something, but I am not sure if this is the same google goggles then what you thought about.


And to those who have trouble with putting the translation it. The first dialog in the game cant be translated, at least I don't know where its file is. (probably hardwired into the game maker file.) However after you finish the zombies the finishing dialog is already in English. (And everything else after it.);)

I have never heard about Google Googles, but maybe this will help you:

I have tried it with Textbridge 11 Pro, but i think i am to stupid to use this right, I can copy the Text out of the Image and Save this, but then i have no Text and it brings me nothing, it´s only a clear Textfile , i hope anyone have more luck with this >.<

Maybe Textbridge 11 Pro does not support kanji.

I am trying LEADTOOLS... I will get back to you, when i have dl-ed, and tried it.
