It´s in work, but i need to wait of the translation from funrabamax, we have now Birth00/Birth01/common/Dog and Fly complete, i hope he will give me the Rest at the weekend :)

And to the first Dialog ingame, it´s not in a folder, i think he has added the first Dialog whis Gamemaker 7 and without the gamemaker file we have no Chance to translate the first Dialog, but i hope anyone have an idea to translate the first Dialog i have no idea left to do this :(

Never fear. The dialogue translation is finished (you should have a PM about it) and I went ahead and translated that part in red in the beginning giving the backstory.

I'll go ahead and translate the first dialogue too. Turns out coming down with the flu took care of all the irl commitments I had to keep me from translating porn games. :)

Re: Nanocrisis

Hail to the mighty flu... lol

Re: Nanocrisis

Well, I realize I risk facing the wrath of vanity for posting this here, but the possibility of pissing people off has never stopped me before!

Here is my translation of the first dialogue between Reika and Sumire before the first mission. We're still trying to figure out how to put it in the game since neither of us can find the file associated with it. Any help would be appreciated.

Without further ado...

First Dialogue

Sumire: You are Kamishiro Reika from the Hunter Association, Old Tokyo Branch, Hunter ID: HJP- 2652-66542-TK, correct?

I will be your assigned Operator, Uraka Sumire.

I look forward to working with you.

Reika: Oh, so you're the new Operator. I'm Kamishiro Reika, nice to meet you.

Sumire: Getting down to business, I'll start explaining the mission.

The Bayside Corpse Disposal Facility ... Where you are currently located, has had an outbreak of PNM (Pathogenicity Nanomachine: virulent nanomachines).

The PNM has infected the facility corpses. They have become active and are being classified as zombies. Your mission is the extermination of these zombies.

Reika: Zombie extermination...

Well, they don't seem like they'll be much of a challenge, but if the numbers are large enough... How many are there supposed to be in the facility?

Sumire: Approximately 10,000.

Reika: Wha-!?

Sumire: This facility has all of the unidentified corpses in the Old Tokyo area stored together.

Typically, this facility is strictly guarded and the PNM would not be able to get in. However, it appears a mistake was made and we now have our mission.

The good news is, the infected corpses are still in the minority so you will not have to exterminate all 10,000.

Reika: ...o, ok, if that's the case I think I can handle it.

Sumire: Although, even if you exterminate all of the zombies, the PNM itself will still exist and be able to create more zombies.

Reika: I see, so this will be a small change job then...

Zombie: AAAAAAAAAA!!

Reika: Looks like it's time to get to work.

Sumire: Be careful. Zombies are slow, but their endurance is first rate.

Also, since it is a parasite, it has no reproductive capabilities, but it still has the instincts of its previous life so it has a tendency to attack those of the opposite sex of its species.

Reika: Sigh, men...

Even death doesn't fix them!

Zombie: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!

Reika: Here they come! Time to get to work!

It´s no problem i will that all understand what the First Dialog is :)

And now i hope anyone will have an idea to fit this fucking Dialog ingame :)

Re: Nanocrisis

Funrabamax I salute you and your flu. Hope it clears up soon mate.

Has anyone got any idea where the nanomachines come/came from?

'preciate it.

There is a short blurb about the nanomachines at the beginning of the game (the red text before the first dialogue), but it doesn't say much about where they came from or who made them. As far as I can tell, the game hasn't explained any of that yet.

We can only wait, maybe it say´s later where the nanomachines from and who created them, I hope it ^.^

Re: Nanocrisis

As far as I can remember, the nanomachines are said to have been created in a lab that was researching evolution or something. They somehow got out of hand, killed all of the scientists that were involved in the research and spread out across the world, starting what is known as the 'Nanocrisis'.

Check the intermission dialogues. ;)

Re: Nanocrisis

It´s done, we have made the English Version of Nanocrisis:

98% translated (only the first Dialog and Warning screen are missing, because we can´t find the files).

When anyone have found them or an idea to fix this, then should he post it.

Thanks goes to parjoala and funrabamax for the Translation, i have only edited the Pictures ;)

I hope that we want translate every Update of the Game and now here are the Links:

When you have trouble with this Version, then post it and we will help you :)

Re: Nanocrisis

Good job with the translation, but...yeah, there are still buts...your game freezes when i try to put it in windowed mode.

Btw, don't you hate all those damn onomatopeics?

Yes, they were a pain to deal with.

Actually, translating onomatopoeias and sound effects is a source of division among japanese translators. Some people try to find (or make up) english equivalents while others prefer to leave them the way they are. There are other schools of thought, but from what I've seen those are the two main ones. Personally, I fall more into the "leave it the way it is" camp as those of you who have played the game with my translations may have noticed. Unfortunately, there are people who can't stand that and if you're one of them, I apologize.

Anyway, I could go on opining about the intricacies of translation with you guys but I'm sure no one actually cared enough to finish the last paragraph, let alone read more, so I'll end with a question to get this discussion back to the game.

What sort of enemies (besides random disembodied tentacles) would you like to see in the next update?

My vote's for aphrodesiac spewing plants!
