I guess I should have waited until I finished level 10, just blew through level 11 within the last 20 minutes or so and then I got Ice Queen Solene (SR). Probably not all that great a card, but I might use it just because why not. It is probably going to be better than Mercenary Kira sitting on the top of my curve.

Offense is only okay? You realize that's only a 6 cost card right? Since it's SR it also goes to like level 100 doesn't it?
I finally used my steamy tickets. Sakura No4, Chao, AAAAND this one.

Use it or lose it. Each type of ticket is exclusive to their own event.
She maxes out at 1500, which is a little low for a 6-cost, and needing to discard her for her ability sucks (as opposed to Hinoki, who only needs to die, and can abuse this by suiciding into a stronger opponent), but the fact that she can be brought out faster than Hinoki can make her more offensive and pretty valuable. Imagine bringing out a Sakura or Monica a turn or two earlier, or having enough mana to bring out two Sakuras in one turn for only 13 mana.
SR second upgrade, SSR second upgrade (needs both Witch's Love Brew and Philosopher's Stone).

Not to mention that defense can be flipped for a powerful attack, if and/or when necessary, using Duped by a Demon, especially if they play a powerful card that her normal attack can't destroy but her defense can.

Exactly that. I usually don't even attack with her I mostly leveled her so she does not get sniped by some random 4 or 5 cost card. And the cheapest white card in my deck (apart from her) is sakura. If you go first, that means you not only have sakura on the field a full turn only, but she can attack immediately instead of the turn after. If you go second that advantage is a tiny bit smaller, of course, but still significant.
And while Hinoki is awesome, she is 1. SSR, second her use is pretty different imho. As you said, she's awesome for a double strike against a big threat, but she does not speed up your build much, cept if you summon a 9er next turn and bet on her getting you something nice on top.

Yeah, unlike Keyaki, Hinoki is less about speed and more about momentum. Summoning a second attacker or bringing in a second defender is an incredibly powerful thing in this game. And Hinoki herself actually has great stats too (2400/1000 maxed).
The downside is, while I have a lot of good wood cards already, actually leveling them all and making them fit for Hinoki's ability is incredibly taxing on my resources. Would be great if I ever got a second or third Anastasia though.
One question though. Does anyone know if cards "summoned in defense mode by an ability" are summoned facedown or faceup? It probably won't matter much for Keyaki, since her ability only works on the user's turn anyway, but for Hinoki, if her ability activates on the opponent's turn, then yeah, knowing if it's facedown or faceup obviously makes a big difference.

do not know why - but i can='t launch the game on any browser, even after clearing the cache. just black screen instead of loading. and after it did logged in once - the game froze. i am at stage 10 boss battle - if it keep up for two days - another event cards is missed. wtf

Also these tickets have been screwing me over pretty hard. Muriel was a nice draw and I like that card, but Framboise, Okita, Jody, etc...*sigh* At least I've been able to draw quite a bit more this time I suppose.

At least a couple Books of Awakening along with Miyabi SMASH! worked, but that still required a fair amount of luck to pull off.
