As expensive as AW might be, the main issue is either Demon Crystals or CCed Silver/Gold fodder(or even Orbs, if you're unlucky). I'll be getting up to 1.1k DCs by this Thursday and even if I AW 11 units immediately, that would still "only" cost 2.2m-3.3m, I'm at 5.8m right now and burnt 1m last night to roll for some 2k Silvers to use as CC fodder.

There are a few NPCs deployed during that event. The Gold reward unit, Apprentice Sailor Marie, is deployed for the first five maps as well as the penultimate map. The star of the event, Beatrika, is deployed for the first three maps in the second wave of maps, although since we've been getting all of the maps at once, it would be more descriptive to say Beatrika is deployed for the sixth, seventh, and eighth map. Map six will also have the bronze unit Pirate Maullo deployed and at level 30, so that is something to look out for. Finally, we'll have a special treat in that we can experience using a Black premium unit, if you don't have one that is, in the form of Legendary Pirate Minerva at CC80 in the ninth map. Of course, all NPCs are automatically deployed and count against 3-starring a map if they die, so they do need to be protected.

You should give me that spare gold I need 6.65m for all I intend to focus on awakening.

Oh I don't even want to do the math on the gold I'll need for all the units I want to AW, but due to DC constraints, it'll be a while before I need to worry.

Not to mention the TP might get cycled when we actually get AW, so that's even less to spend on AW Fairies.

I feel like either Nasu got really lucky or they changed the behavior of that paralysis ninja on the right side as he keeps concentrating on Daniella rather than the Valkyrie I placed in front of the HA. I guess I'll try putting a mage down after recalling Daniella, it's mainly those flying Ninjas that keep getting through as the HA and Valkyrie have no problem tanking.

I feel like either Nasu got really lucky or they changed the behavior of that paralysis ninja on the right side as he keeps concentrating on Daniella rather than the Valkyrie I placed in front of the HA. I guess I'll try putting a mage down after recalling Daniella, it's mainly those flying Ninjas that keep getting through as the HA and Valkyrie have no problem tanking.

Ranged units always target the last unit you put, if the Valkyrie was on the field before Daniella, the latter'll be taking the hits.

So I'm fairly certain that like I said, Nasu got really lucky or they changed his behavior because that does not happen when I do exactly what they did, I'll even record it next time.

Edit: actually, re-reading your post I severely misread it in my just woken up state, but that does not change that even though I follow exactly what Nasu did, pretty much placing a Valkyrie on the right side, Daniella is the one that still get's attacked while in Nasu's video the Paralysis Ninja completely target's the Valkyrie.

I noticed in an earlier map that paralysis ninja stops attacking a unit that is paralyzed. I'm not sure if other units behave that way as well. If the paralyzed unit is the only one in range of the paralysis ninja, they stop attacking altogether and just walk past.

He's definitely in range of Daniella, but continues to attack Elaine whom is also paralyzed so idk.

20 minutes before I get the Stamina to check this myself, but I believe I know the reason: Paralysis was reworked during an Event DMM had, I don't quite recall which one it was but, as you can obviously tell, Paralyzed units are now ignored by attackers, so you can't reproduce what Nasu did in that video.

I hate that 5th map so fucking much. Using the video Lafate posted but I keep 2* it.. I use sybilla where the other guy lays down a valkyrie, my main problem is I have to pick and choose between withdrawing kate/sybilla but they BOTH are dying at the exact same time and if I withdraw too early it messes up the formation and 1 unit will get by.. any tips?

Also I only have 1 tank so that's why 1 unit always gets by.. been using Uzume as the other and she's working just fine but the problem is her blocking only 2 instead of 3, thus 1 unit always getting by.

Only been using sybilla, uzume, prince, spica, 2 healers, leeanne, katie and soma.. so all those others are pretty much spares I guess I could try to work in? I usually have like 40+ UP at the end.

To be fair, if a person didn't know about AW ahead of time (just played the game and didn't go on forums/wiki, which I imagine is the category that most players fall under) then basic summon spam doesn't seem like that bad of an idea.

Hopefully common sense would tell players to not drain that much gold on Basic. If not... doesn't really matter. JP players probably didn't have much, if any, warning either.

I don't see how anyone can spam Basic, too much time.

I'm guessing Lafate thinks people can't into context. Which is... true on this board, I guess.

I've blown several million on 2k, but I'm one of the rich idiots that spammed gold buff + Dragon Hunting endlessly back in the day, and more or less took my time with leveling units.

I'm pretty sure the reason Daverost is poor is because he maxed several event plats/blacks the long way.

Anyway, I'm more or less done with this event already. Besides a few hiccups with map 6, map 3 was the only one I had to repeat since I wasn't expecting the red ninja to wreck my ranged units so quickly. Map 4 is piss easy, map 5 was tricky but somehow cleared it on my first try. G map took four tries to get everything, with run 1 and 3 being failures, and map 2 having no drops.

After 2 months I have 150+ DC based on normal regen. So that puts you above what I would have even if playing from Day 1 Admittedly I did fool a bit around and didnt do DC the first one or two weeks, but still that would not have changed much in my tally. Amazing 1.1k stockpile. Well done.

I was saving for a Spica, hopefully she'll stay a bit longer in the trade post, and then, I understand from your post, it is stockpiling DC if one wants to go hard into AW.

Edit : Used the link Nordland posted, seems one logs in and the simply presses join to participate, straight up lottery. Very nice and straightforward.

If your problem is Katie/Sybilla, I'd probably just take Sybilla out early and plop Lilia down in her stead, a fresh Princess allows your healers to focus on Katie so you don't actually have to withdraw her.

I mean, if all they know is that gold is only used to level up units after a year of playing, and Monday gives more than enough to pretty much constantly level, then it makes sense that these players would think spending the otherwise useless extra gold on 2k summons is the correct thing to do.

Plus, my Berna is from 2k. Totally worth.

I don't think I ever did that, and I went in blind before I started making resources for people. The only time I did 2k summon was when I needed silvers early on when we weren't frequently getting events; or I needed a specific silver I didn't have.

Just saw the spotlight units... Chizuru is not bad at all, however seeing Jerome and Camilla in the spotlight... well, gonna rethink if I'll roll gacha during this event.

Edit: G map left, main didn't have any problems with X map. What's interesting... Bashira survived, however on alt Nanaly... on the same place... died :O
