FUCK I FINALLY DID IT! THE DAMN +5 UP WAS LITERALLY SCREWED ME OVER... well kind of... I had to delay placing both Bellinda and Calliope to time the slows and their attacks properly(As well as Bellinda's skill)... So regardless of if I had that points to place them I had to wait... Whatever I guess it isn't called a challenge map for lols.... First instance of micro managing I've ever had to do in this game >.<
Frustrating as that was.... I kind of want events at that level now.
Team: C13 Belinda 50CC57 (100% Aff), C17 Despara 50CC31 (100% Aff), C12 Calliope 50CC50 (100% Aff) and two more Calliopes lvl20 without CR.
1. Belinda to U (skill activation the moment it comes up!!!)
2. CCd Calliope to V
3. non CC Calliope to X
4. Despara to T (skill activation)
5. non CC Calliope to S (could maybe do it without her but didn't want to chance it)
@Lafate: Try this with Adele in place of Despara. Timing Belindas skill is the most important thing.
Not sure that would work.
When i used Belinda with my first attempt that succeeded (took 6 crystals worth of trys mind you):
I placed Belinda at position V 1st.
Calliope at position U.
And Depera (or Adele, dont remember if i had Despera at that time) at position X.
The variables:
Witch on left side of map may need to be placed at position X OR W depending on when they are able to be set. Ideally you want them to land and a wolf is just coming out so that the witch is next to them. Depending on cost of witch this will change for players. So use the position most appropriate due to timing, failing this can cause failure for the map.
Right side of map is the same, though i chose to stick with position U over position T.
Another key to this win since Belinda is placed first is to activate her skill, her range increase allows her to attack all units going to the left side exit, this can be what lets you defeat the map (was my first successful go at it, she killed both a goblin and a wolf through the wall).
As stated my first time through the map it took multiple times to complete for me. My recorded version was well after but when i still had the UC+5 boost. I never bothered looking for videos, as i figured what witches we have wouldnt be the same as the vids out there due to our Cloris being fairly useless due to lack of CR.

Biggest thing is determining how much luck is also part of clearing the map as there isn't much in the way of reliably having the witches attack the wolves over the goblins for our version.
Grats on passing the map, look forward to Dwarfs and Giants, it's a blockade as well, but just requires the early rogues for the unit rush. Stopping the goblins and at least one orge is key. You wont be stopping the goat with out a lucky assassinate.

Congrats! Makes me wonder, though, if this is achievable only by veteran players, completely bored, with overelveled teams and getting creative with little else to do, what would be the intended way to clear this map? Which classes are we missing? Or would the to be patched in -1 witch cost reduction enough for a regular clear?

The map is a witch/mage only map.
So other classes are not useful regardless for that map.
As far as intended the -1 witch cost will help, but the criteria still remains largely the same. You still need X damage amount per unit, and you still need the time to get them out. While easier, after the CR cost reduction, if you haven't CR'ed any witches, you'll still end up failing due to the cost restraints, it'll just be less so after the change. Other than that, it's all about placement and timing.
Like it has been said, the map is probably the most annoying in the game to get past, or can be the most frustrating out of them at any rate.

Whelp, time to finish this sucker off and get to 200 before Monday's dailies, wish me luck.
Very, very pleased to see that the original event spotlight units have been maintained for our Vampire Princess event, and not swapped for more black gacha trash. That not only puts my mind at ease for the upcoming event, but gets me excited about it too (2 girls for 1 event; *Eee!*). Now, I just hold out hope that Rin's event spotlight (Bashira <3) is maintained as well. That would be sooo awesome, and then maybe Roana's event after that. Woo, very excited!

I see, I thought the limitation was broader as to include some other "magic" type classes, like magic fencers and all those hybrids we still haven't got (bishops and whatnot). So it's a challenge map in the truest sense, interesting.

I think (personally) she is the worst offender in the game, not even turtle girl out loli's this one IMO.
I can't say for sure if the map is ever broadened for unit type, but too my knowledge the War of Magic map keeps it's restriction to mages and witches. Pretty much that's going to limit it to witches due to unit cost and speed of the map. Can you get a mage out? Yes, but by then the hardest part of passing the map has already occurred and really serves no purpose. A DMM player could probably verify though, if for later builds, other units can be used.
