Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)
No offense, HentaiWriter, was a professionally-done ad, but I strongly disagree with its content (I'm sure Nutaku provided all that to you, anyways). I mean, they are advertising Aigis as a porn game, when all of about 3-5% of the actual game experience is pornographic. Now don't get me wrong, I love the naughty bits in Aigis, but I just don't think that's the game's main selling point. Y'know, thinking about it now, I don't think that Aigis needs more advertising in the traditional sense; it needs an honest-to-god game review. Aigis is only going to keep players that enjoy its gameplay, not just its h-scenes.
In my own very humble opinion, the game needs to be marketed as a game with tits, not a full-blown porno. All I can see being accomplished from this current marketing trend is a flood of people who try out Aigis for all of about a week, and then quit out of frustration, with a small handful that accidentally fall in love with the actual game content (that they weren't expecting because it isn't advertised or talked about at all) and stick around for the long-term. It's only out of that group that you are going to find that smaller percentage of players that are actually going to spend money on the game, therefor earning you a return on that marketing expense.
I dunno, I don't do marketing professionally, so maybe I have it all wrong. Anyways, really no disrespect HW; you did a fine job on what you were hired for. It's Nutaku's angle on presenting Aigis that I have a problem with. Even then, I could just be a complete idiot about this sort of stuff and this sort of campaign is actually making the company filthy fucking rich. *shruggles* /rant and apologies all around
To be fair, this is an advertisement for the *site* as a whole; I only posted it in here because I wasn't sure which of the topics to post it in.
Hence, since the site's one unifying link is pornography/hentai, that would make sense to advertise that in the video, rather than do something like "hey, here's game 1 that's sorta about hentai, game 2 that's all about it, game 3 that's not about it much at all" etc. and thus lose your unifying focus, etc.
Also, the demographic for where these ads will be placed, and the site as a whole, is going to generally be wayyy more receptive to "here's porn!" than trying to go into the intricacies of gameplay.
It's sort of one of those "looking out from the inside" viewpoints you've got, which I'm not bagging on you at all for, I understand that viewpoint myself when I work on games and want to advertise all the intricate depths and features the game has to offer, but from marketing experience, I've realized that it's far better to basically slap people in the face and be like YO LOOK AT THIS SHIT BRO and have a higher chance of people
even looking at your game/site/content, than risking immediately turning them off by going into all the intricate details and gameplay functions, and then e
ven if they might have liked the game, they're bored to tears with the advertisement/don't have the patience to sit through it, so their interest in the game is permanently lost.
surprisingly professionally for a h-site ad, that being said, if they changed from aigis to pero to be their talked about game, then it'll be more accurate (other than the no censors part)
no one really plays aigis for the h, though being forced to go through h in it first thing doesnt really make up for that, and also worse makes it too awkward to share with friends
i wish they would make the all-ages aigis soon like what dmm has, then i can actually share it, and also the player base would probably multiple exponentially with the combination of all-ages + android (and hopefully + play store)

about 25s in, you told a lie. no, not all of their games are available uncensored. how old is this video? pero pero doesn't have uncensored art. nvm, i saw a pero blowjob seen and it was censored... so which is it, every game is completely uncensored or just some?
not to bash, but if you are gonna advertise the site. it need to be sold with completely true information or people are gonna get upset that they were lied too.
onto the positive, the video was very well made. good use of cut-ins. mic could have been better.
edit: just read that you did the video editing and not the voice. so did you write the script that she talked about and you did the video or was the voice pre-recorded for you? who provided the voice then... if it's nutaku themselfs. they just false advertised...
This video is only about two weeks old; I'm just going by what the company has told me, I can't speak for them.
Additionally, I did not write the script either; I did solely the video editing, nothing else. The voice, script, artwork, were all provided to me; I did the typography and animation of text/cuts/transitions/effects, basically.
Take into account that they might be planning to do de-censored stuff, possibly, which is why they possibly had me make this, but I'm sure they have their reasons for listing that.
Man, people are defensive about this game, haha!
