(Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

On a related note, I'm done with this version. At least the devs will be nice to me if I pretend to be Japanese.
Good time to switch, DMM version is getting new revivals system next week, which they called it "Daily Revivals". No detailed information yet, but they hinted about some kind of permanent revivals like DMM FKG has, which would let new players get older event units any time they want.

Personally not a fan of that system and it ensures that I won't switch back to DMM.

Already did that since Mid Jan 2016

70$ for Nutaku for 6 month (20$ Christmas , 50$ Imelia) Still have spare 35 SC
80.000 Yen+ for DMM

The GAP!! LOL

Maybe I'll ask the one who caretake My clone account to do My main account too if this keep up next week
It's quite a dilemma to quit , but since someone willing to caretake and he is trustable , why not~

=====================

I think summer is aproaching on Japan
Which mean New UI , New AW2 "A" - "B" is also closer~

sweet. Moving to DMM as of today.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

My theory on code drop is...it ain't happening.

One doesn't just give code out. You sell it.
You may ask, "doesn't Nutaku already have the rights?"
Answer is no. Right now, they are only a host. Very easy to tell by their impotence.
Source release is a whole another level of licensing in software business.

So Nutaku has to "Buy" the code if they want the full control.
And my guess is that the expected price of the code between Nutaku and JP Dev's differ quite alot.

It's natural, really. Both the JP Dev and Nutaku would value the code by the revenue they generate from the game.
And I bet you JP version makes whole alot of tons more than the Nutaku version.
It's very possible that the price offered by JP Dev doesn't make any sense to Nutaku's revenue.

Of course, all of this is just a fictional guess by my own work as software engineer.
And as everytime I'm being pessimistic like this, I hope I'm wrong.

The way I see it, it *is* pretty much a win-win for both parties if Nutaku gets the source for free; the devs basically would get free localization work, and still get revenue from the game. Giving Nutaku access to the source code isn't the same as handing over IP rights to them; proper contract wording would ensure that Nutaku only does what the developers allow them to do with the code; i.e. add in the translation, update the live version themselves, etc.

I am hoping that one of the concerns the devs have with giving the code away is just that they want to keep tight creative control over the game, but that's just conjecture on my part.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

What's bad about it?

It defeats the point of even having events. Makes them less special. Sure, everyone now pretty much always has a chance to get this or that old event unit. Availability drastically improved. But something just feels off about the whole thing.

You had revivals, farmables in GRs, and farmables star events already. But this is a bit much.

I guess I don't have a solid legitimate reason why I don't like it other than I just plain don't like it. At least, not a reason I can fully express in words at this moment.

He can't keep it up with the pace~

The pace...?

With this system in place, the pace has slowed down immensely. You no longer have to worry about doing any event because they'll come back sooner than ever.

Now this is something to talk about. Hello guys and girls!
Larcx if you think about it the original version is indeed hard to keep up to bou not imposible, it only took me 3 months to catch up so is doable, even more so with them adding plat units on star trials maps and the very useful revivals, of course the gacha is horrid but you don't actually need to put yourself in need of it. The only think i regret is not going to Dmm before the Odette fiasco.

I really doubt that is going to be as easy, sure they may put one or two revivals but the point is for people to spend money in the game so i'm sure that you won't be able to cathc them all.

just gonna quote something I wrote elsewhere:
there's no mention of the change in stamina yet, and 49 stamina is not gonna help much unless SC spam or they change the recovery time as well. tons of SC sound nice in theory, but the struggle to farm both revival maps and current event maps is there, on top of leveling units. it only makes things worse when you come across a strategy that could've been replicated if only you had that one or two revival unit that you missed because you decided to use that day to focus on current event instead or something, or vice versa. Also, you forgot that if star rush and collection 'daily revivals' are based on RC as usual, it's just gonna make us cry. and farm event unit revivals are more or less covered in current star rushes so I'm not too worried on that end.

basically, I'm not going to jump into conclusions and assume daily revival will be a purely good thing until it's actually implemented and tested. the idea of easier-to-obtain SCs is a good thing of course, but chances are the struggle for newbies to balance everything is going to be worse.

Also, I don't believe nutaku can't do shit about things. I mean, there were easter eggs last year, but SC compensations and celebrations are ridiculously stingy and where the hell are my valentine chocos!?

really only seen aigis and fkg's nutaku vs dmm comparison to some extent, but freebie wise nutaku fails very hard on both ends.

Freebies are a mixed bag, but compensations are usually good. Saga, Osawari, Kanpani, and FKG all had great compensations. Some overly generous, even.

No, they are exactly the same thing as handing over the IP rights.
Unless the code is open source project to begin with, there is not a single instance where the source is given out for free.

Such ideal contract doesn't exist in this world.
How do you expect the Devs to control what Nutaku does? Visit them every month? This world doesn't run on good will; it runs on cash.

Besides, Nutaku wouldn't want such deal either.
If the only thing that changes from the status quo is the code given for free + Nutaku doing localization for free, now Nutaku has additional cost of localizing + the existing cost of hosting the game.

If Nutaku is serious about buying the code, they would expect to pay large sum for the purchase of the source, but expect to pay nothing to the devs (or at least much lower ratio) for the SC's we spend.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Pace is dictated by availability and personal player interest.

With past event units becoming more and more available, there is less of a need to farm for any one event unit at any one given time. You can spread your charisma and stamina across so many different things and still get stuff done.

If that was meant for me specifically instead of generically, I've been on DMM for over 3 months.

But good info for anyone else considering.

wouldnt even say they're generous. at least for fkg, it's only at the level of 'acceptable' if you look at what dmm side gives. and nutaku fkg i'm still waiting for bonus flower gems for continuous login bonus.

there's really a lot more reason to retain in the game for dmm aigis and dmm fkg as compared to nutaku aigis and nutaku fkg.

You should tell him that~

Some people cannot keep up with DMM pace
Therefor they prefer the break on Nutaku
Some people like that exist~

And people that crying+screaming wanting break when the pace was good~

Meanwhile I got another 2 PA again
Oh well gotta keep them at 3'rd Barrack
I don't see why I need to boost My unit with the break~

I don't really count flower gems because DMM FKG started with worse gacha rates (whereas we got the FB contest with increased rates, even though that gave me nothing, but I digress), but eh. Anyway, I'm obviously talking about the second 5* guaranteed roll.

As for the other games, there were stuff like Saga compensating for missing login rewards, Osawari giving everyone a free Goma (if you're willing to look past the fact that she's still edited), or Kanpani with its abundance of black envelopes.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

I think FKG Nutaku is quite acceptable
Too bad from what I heard
The connection issue is quite bad , but maybe only a handfull of people have this issues

Also a good pace of event , maybe in another 11-12 month they will implemented 100% 6* upon 50$ (5000 Yen on DMM)

Yesterday we have another NicoLive for two 5* exclusive girl
And just in one day , I have like... was it 9 or 12 free HanaStone in MailBox
I think the reason was becoz they messed up the MT time
Should have 2 PM JST - 5 PM JST but it got long to 7:10 PM JST (I pray they messed up every week ;P)
With Event and all , I got a total of 25 Free HanaStone in less than 10 minutes~
