Why it would not be? There's no downside to AW Emilia, so if you are going to use her, you are going to AW her. While with Kerry if you don't AW her, she's much worse stats-wise than AW90 Emilia, and if you AW her, you are losing much of Valk's utility and would need separate valk for early mob rushes anyway, so either way Kerry is not "Bernice" of valkyries.

On that last part, I'll agree, but it was only just recently that valks weren't shit, so it's not quite as fair of a comparison.

Even then, valks are pretty far down the list of who to AW first compared to HAs.

Well, think of it this way: this could also be potentially the last super long break. Seeing as how Nutaku wants to get a DMM-like schedule started around early to mid September. Of course, it's not a guarantee as by the quote they want it as a goal rather than it being cemented, so anything could happen to prevent that, but who knows. We already got the latest balance patch (I think?), putting us on even with DMM in terms of balance changes so there could be a silver lining, maybe.

Personally being in the super extreme minority, I'm going to miss the breaks. But, back to back events are the staple, so that's that. Though, we may or may not still have breaks seeing as they did say a "DMM-like" schedule. However, I also imagine maybe that the "like" comes from some events dropping differently in random orders, like the Gold Rushes we went past (or maybe they drop the ones we skipped in random order until we're caught up) or maybe dropping the subjugations differently, idk.

Funny thing is: The first unit I awakened was a valkyrie and just recently I awakened my first HA (Gellius) as AW unit No 15. Furthermore I only awakened him because I ran out of other units to AW (Chydis, Odette and Claudia don't really get too much out of AW, neither their AW ability nor their artwork and sprites are really worth it) and because I keep being told that he'll become very useful in the future. The last times I used a HA were Monday G and Mementos Swarm map. Before that I can't even remember. In my opinion HAs are overrated. I wouldn't care that much about valkyries either if I had only Kerry, but still, in my opinion they'd be pretty much on par with HAs.
HAs are good when you need to stall lots of units, valkyries have always been good duelists and rather good against magical units and since the last patch they are even good for UP generation/early anti-swarm

As others have mentioned, there's no reason not to farm the 55/7 map anyways. I am swimming in good duelists and almost never use a valkyrie so I will likely use most of my copies as cheap tin cans, keeping one for collection.

I feel it would take a very edge case for me to want to use Emilia over a non-AW Kerry, if I absolutely had to use a valk at all. If I'm worried about UP, Kerry or (hopefully some day) Mischa seem better short-term units.

If you have no good duelists you may get some use out of her, other than that get the silvers you want and feed Emilia copies to better units imo. She's just in an awkward place where she's only really good during her skill, and her skill works opposite how a valk does (long windup time, valk is a drop, generate UP and retreat type unit in a map that matters).

Well I do have a themis now but I don't like her whatever. Will replace her the moment i get a princess I like.

That moment you look at your Units and realize ppl are complaining about these things while the only unit you have above gold you can't get from an event or the trading post you have is despara despite dumping 100 SC's once on premium summons

I think the main point here is that we (a vast number of the vet players) don't really need Emilia sure she is good if you don't have a duelist i've seen a lot of new users in different forums and i told them to not miss her, but in my case i don't have use for her since i have all the plat princess + every duelist that came after Echidna's event rigth now most of us are triying to fill niche positions in our teams, either way we'll have like 5 or 6 SC and the chance to get some healers.

I feel like I'm missing something here, is there some hatred to lavender hair or something? Emilia is almost equal to Kerry in base stats, and Emilia has a much better skill/AW. There shouldn't be THIS much hate for her.
I mean its not like I'm gonna use her that much since I have Clissa, but I'd bring her over Kerry if I needed a second valk.

Valkyries have two possible purposes:
a) Early deployment for UP generation: AW Kerry sucks due to lower attack speed. If you want a valkyrie with that role you can't awaken Kerry. AW Emilia is better than CC Kerry though. So, you could use Emilia for that role. Only problem is: Once we get Misha, she'll be so much better in this role with far less ressources put into her.
b) Duelists: Without her skill Emilias stats are really bad, but in most cases you'll want to drop her on a boss and not wait 13 s for her to become useable. For that role Kerry is much better, because she hits like a truck and attack speed doesn't matter as much for this role.
So in both roles she can be easily replaced, even by freemium players.

Dumping 100+ Scs in one go is what I consider insane. I only dump a little bit at a time.

Because generally RNG goes out of its' way to hurt me and make me it's bitch for spending too much money.

And when there's that 1.5x boost for daily quests, make sure to mash it for demon crystals. That's how I got Saki for like what.. 15$ if I remember right. And I've yet to use her. Her boobies look nice though.

Chydis is only plat unit besides Spica whom I levelled all up to AW90 on DMM (usually stopping around ~70-75, as gain/exp ratio is declining fast), she's best free healer you can get, and every healing power matters, so ~100 more attack after AW is certainly worth it.

Oh boy, we out of 2014 DMM now bbbooiiizzz. Well, until if/when they bring Anna, Eliza, Happy, and that other subjugation that is. And, I guess maybe bringing back Yurina and Fran from the endless abyss. There's also the Gold Rushes too, but who knows when/if those be happening.
