(Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

I should really learn that going in blind is never a good idea on high charisma/stamina maps, but hey, whatever it gave me the rainbow fairy on the first run.

For anyone else going to try out the 100 stam map blind, you can lay down your soldiers on the right side.

You're super op, it's fiiiine.

Sasha's spotlight  Yeah. Seems like getting unicorn orbs will have to wait week longer :D

It is way too easy tbh lol but the large hp reduction from laying down makes it a little challenging at least.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Emilia also suffers from 2 future event valks we get that are way better, one is a black with high hit speed and the other a plat with ranged attack with SAW lol >_<.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

That translation.... I blame google translate for not being better. :p

Did 2 tries to maybe get Celia. Got a silver archer (useful) and gold Robert.... *sigh* oh well, awakening fodder I guess.

Those aren't until a super long time though, considering those two released this year. :V

Edit: Well, maybe this'll be the last time of bad translations too, with Nutaku hopefully taking full control over in September. Flower Knight Girl is one of the games they have full control over, or so they say anyway, and they recently added story cutscenes to events which seem pretty well translated at least or isn't glaringly obvious they used some sort of machine translator.

Oh come on. They replaced Percis in map 3 with Saizo (having silver ninja for awakening is good but...) instead of replacing Verotte.

I have so many freaking silver pirates I don't need more. I wanted to farm some Percis to mincost her. :(

--------------------------------------

Speaking of Flower Knight Girl translations. Did they ever fix the initial characters skill's descriptions which were mostly wrong? They fumbled the translation from an unit doing 2x 0.8 damage to doing 8x 2.0 damage (also a case of google translate going wrong) for example.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Did you guys forget how badly-translated Memento's introduction was?

The actual map dialogue is still fine though, for some reason.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Well...

can't link pictures (yet) but during the ranged only map Emilia says:

But let's see how you stop fast moving knights with melee fighters!

So... yeah. :p

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Gosh... that translation... probably even I would have translated it better -_- and english isn't even my native language.

No Percis? That sucks a bit :\

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Didn't get Emilia on 55/7, but I got 1 of many Dorcas I need at least. :V

I vaguely remember hearing about that, but I have no idea honestly. Took a quick peek at some of my girl's skills and they seem fine.

Went for Sasha... got Marr... yeah, she is very useful and all... but this acc already got one max SU -_-

Edit: I must start reading descriptions -_- No healers allowed is quite important information. Barely got 3* withdrawing Aria in the last moment possible. Lucky that this acc got strong range lineup.

Let's hope so, just to clarify they've always used machine translations if you need proof just check the dialogs for the old events in the wiki the problem now is that they aren't checking/trying to make sense of those transations before i used to say that they had a team of monkeys doing the translations sadly those monkeys where shot down. This is the ultimate evidence that they don't give a fuck, the game is already a year and half old, this is unaceptable.

Maybe they were like, "Welp, this is the last time we'll be in control of Nutaku Aigis. So, whatevs. Send the text into some warped version of Google Translate, but this time don't bother on having someone proof read it, send over the data of the event and call it a day." :V

This is just straight up Google Translate quality. Google Translate (and machine translators in general) are horrible at translating languages that are structured differently. If you try, let's sy, English to German, or Italian to Spanish, it's going to be fine mostly. Not perfect, but definitely gets the message across. Japanese to English though... I use it relatively often and understanding the Google Translate gibberish that comes out of the process is a skill on its own right.

So yeah, this is unedited machine translation. It's kinda sad.

As for the event: up till the Final Battle I 3 starred everything blind on my first try. On FB that initial rush surprise me, I didn't know that they won't just rush through,so I popped down duelists on all three lines. They couldn't kill shit fast enough and a few units slipped through, so I ended up getting only two stars. I won't do the desert one blind, the initial HP reduction makes it very easy to screw up things if I don't know what to expect.

That map tl is hilariously bad at every line. Like, next line after melee units:
JP: 先ほどと同じと思って侮らないことだな。
Nutaku: Just as before, you are formidable adversary.
Actual tl: You better don't think its same as before.

I mostly feel like they're using some other alternative because of the name change, as originally it was going to be called "The Valkyrie's contract" and using GT it turns the JPN name to "Contract of Valkyrie". Instead, they seemed like they went with a direct translation or at least for "Warmaiden", since Contract is apparently right, but they went with Oath for whatever reason; it sounds better though.

Edit: At least it isn't babelfish, eh? eh? eh...or maybe it's a combination of GT and babelfish...

To be honest: English to German is just as terrible as Japanese to English. I think the worst is reading Google translations in your mother tongue. That's the reason I always translate to english and not to german^^
