While I didn't neg you, the devs are in fact the same people, so I am conflicted in that supporting the DMM version is giving the same people more money by bypassing a middleman who is offering a truncated version.
Fact of the matter is it's obvious that the current state of the Nutaku version is the intended state, that this event plan with breaks between each event and scores of unimplemented units is what the Japanese devs want to do with the international version, and given the 2nd summer break it's unlikely they intend to change anything about it. While I could go to DMM, and I in fact have been dabbling there picking up my freebie revival units for the past few weeks, I've more or less proven to myself that not being able to read the game actually takes most of the fun out of it for me. I just don't want to restart, and as long as I can't fathom their intentions with the Nutaku version I do not want to pay the devs any additional money for the product they are delivering.
Perhaps because it was only the 2nd game they offered, but I think Nutaku and the Aigis devs had a good possibility that neither had a lot of faith in and ended up with an event plan that just isn't going to last in the long run. Maybe it pulls in just enough since there are still new players joining in, and maybe that's all they wanted. Regardless they've lost me, even though I was hanging on so desperately to stay, clinging to vaporous vestiges of hope that just could not support themselves.
If you enjoy Aigis in either form, then I hope you please continue to do so. She is a lovely game full of promise and depth, and I wish her the best.
