(Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

"Whaling", or "being a whale" is spending untold amounts of real money on "free" games to speed up the processes and obtain premium things :p
Distinct from "being a dolphin" that is "spending a little money now and then" by the sheer magnitude of spendings. :D

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Oh no, I don't plan on being a whale. Bills won't allow for that, lol. In all seriousness, I'm just not big on spending real money on chances to spin an RNG wheel.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Oh, and while we are at advice matter, check out the for information on, well, unit classes and their uses)

Should I feel bad that even I didn't know being a dolphin was a thing? <.<

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

I was like, "is that even a thing?" too. And then,

I've honestly never heard of 'Dolphins' or 'Minnows' as a term, but then again I haven't really played a lot of F2P games, and when I do I only ever heard of 'Whale(s)'.

Anyhow, with the event ending it looks like this'll be the best the Main account has ever done. Got a really surprisingly large amount of plat armors, an okayish amount of silvers, and best of all it managed to max CR Lucille and get her to 9/10, the most any of the two accounts has ever gotten on SUs for a UF. Alt got an okayish amount of plat armors, very few silvers, and its Lucille is looking at a 32 cost, 6/10 skill.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Well I threw a SC down the shitter today. I opened a second instance of Aigis instead of this forum accidentally while doing the 12 Stamina mission.
I was hoping it would give me my Lucille if I finish the mission despite the 400 error I got at the end, no such god damn luck. Fuck me.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

I like how the state of the game is so bad that nobody even bats an eye anymore when the news tab confirms there is nothing for the next week.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

It's pretty muy much guaranteed were not getting back to back events. I'd be surprised if people even check the news tab during an event week.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

I don't think anyone here is masochistic enough to cling onto some sliver of hope our schedule is ever NOT going to be event-break-event-break.
My greatest gripe with Nutaku Aigis is the complete detachment of the developers and the community, what happened to gathering feedback from Nutaku, huh? At least tell us you don't give a fuck.

i do think there doing something or the game would be completely dead as in no events at all this next event is what i consider the turning point we knew liana would be skipped but the question is what about other units who have had success on other games namely lolis i would atleast hope they stop cutting them for no good reason a good portion of units are lolis and i dont see dmm stopping with them anytime soon
for me id prefer they just drop something huge on us in the news tab or the site thats happening the day after said something to me this is better then hollow words or promises

as a comparison our units to another game riddled with lolis but has had no issues with having them she is on the banner and everything thats just the latest one every loli has had banner space and as far as i know no issues what so ever
our next 2 units that may get cut and

So I just started playing this, don't suppose anyone has any tips? Things that wouldn't be entirely obvious, and whatnot?

Part of me wants to suggest jumping over to DMM instead of playing this crappy version. :p

A lot of things were already covered but I'd like to reiterate the advice about making new accounts and rolling till you get a good Platinum or any non-Liana Black. It's worth the time and can help a lot, especially since you said your bills wouldn't allow you to spend money on the game, so it might be your only real chance at a Premium Black.

Avoid spending SCs whenever possible, you'll probably be forced to use some to max out Events but keep an eye on the forum to see whether or not the unit is worth it. This version has the advantage of knowing ahead of time what unit's coming and whether or not it's good, so you can more easily decide which ones to skip and just get the SCs from. It'll take a while, but if you have the patience to hoard up 150 SCs, the Platinum Ticket you get has an 85% chance of getting you a Premium Platinum and the remaining 15% would get you a Premium Black. It's best to save until a unit you really like is on the spotlight so you can roll a lot and hope to get what you want. :D

@Whoever decided to neg me, yes I'd rather "support" the DMM devs instead of Nutaku, since the former has clearly shown that they don't care from day 1, while the latter keeps promising but failing to deliver time and time again, how much disappointment do you think that has caused? We're not even sure what happened with their recently failed "deal" and they aren't even telling us anything.

Then again, I don't even need to spend money on DMM since they actually treat their players well.

People are still negging comments about comparing Nutaku Aigis to DMM Aigis? That's amusing. The difference is night and day.

The only pseudo advantage Nutaku Aigis has over DMM is having more free time to level units, which ends up being a negative the longer the game goes on due to balancing issues. Having units significantly higher leveled and more awakened units than were intended to have at that point in the game only ends up making the game easier by nature. Additionally the game gets boring due to not having anything challenging to use our broken over leveled units on.

I don't think that's true at all. It just so happens that you get more exp with events going on than spaming story missions. Think about all those plat armors you get from drops, guaranted initial runs, extra rewards for stars or items collected. Not to mention black armor and exp max fairy from time to time. I started my dmm account half a year later than nutaku, never spend there a penny and if I would count total exp of my units on both games nutaku is left behind by a fair margin. Same with getting rainbow fairies or other fairies in general.

I only have hard time getting silver fairies cause you need them to awaken your units and lately those rarely drop from events. Catching up with affection items may be little hard as well but you are getting enough to max your new event units and very slowly catch up with others.

While I didn't neg you, the devs are in fact the same people, so I am conflicted in that supporting the DMM version is giving the same people more money by bypassing a middleman who is offering a truncated version.

Fact of the matter is it's obvious that the current state of the Nutaku version is the intended state, that this event plan with breaks between each event and scores of unimplemented units is what the Japanese devs want to do with the international version, and given the 2nd summer break it's unlikely they intend to change anything about it. While I could go to DMM, and I in fact have been dabbling there picking up my freebie revival units for the past few weeks, I've more or less proven to myself that not being able to read the game actually takes most of the fun out of it for me. I just don't want to restart, and as long as I can't fathom their intentions with the Nutaku version I do not want to pay the devs any additional money for the product they are delivering.

Perhaps because it was only the 2nd game they offered, but I think Nutaku and the Aigis devs had a good possibility that neither had a lot of faith in and ended up with an event plan that just isn't going to last in the long run. Maybe it pulls in just enough since there are still new players joining in, and maybe that's all they wanted. Regardless they've lost me, even though I was hanging on so desperately to stay, clinging to vaporous vestiges of hope that just could not support themselves.

If you enjoy Aigis in either form, then I hope you please continue to do so. She is a lovely game full of promise and depth, and I wish her the best.

In essence, I'm more willing to give money directly to the folks on DMM's side of things and not giving any to Nutaku, due to the latter's failure to deliver and the lack of communication. Though as I've stated before, I feel no incentive to spend money on the DMM version due to how well we're treated over there, I've gotten hundreds of SCs for insignificant bug fixes, simple freebies, Events, etc. while the Nutaku version got a single Crystal for that month-long debacle, amongst other issues.

While I understand your reluctance towards playing a game you can't read(I've been in that position too), Petite Soeur does an amazing job translating Events and, for me, that's enough for me to play on the DMM version. Things are also fresh over there, with Events weekly and so much to do now that we have daily Revivals and ever-present Subjugations. I finally managed to get a composition right for my 500 kills just the other day! :D

You know, you're actually probably right. I have almost 70 platinum cans on my DMM account. I know one of the regulars in the DMM thread has max rainbow fairies on his account.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

When I spend money on a game, I don't think of it as supporting the provider.
I spend so I can get what I want. Very simple and intuitive.

I spent on Nutaku MWA b/c I knew the best units on the game will stay the best.
This is one of the best thing I still like about the Aigis game.

But alas, who could've thought that it was not the game itself, but how the game was run that will give you the buyer's remorse.

In short, I would have 0 problem paying DMM, even if it meant paying the same devs that ruined MWA. Every crystals spent, other than the ones devoured by the goddess, will be worth it.

Nutaku MWA? Even the best unit in the game will be pointless. Since the game itself has been turned into a undead zombie like. Don't spend a penny on MWA. You will regret it.

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

Lol someone is super bitter about insulting Nutaku Aigis. Can't believe there are people out there still willing to defend the shitty version Nutaku Aigis is.

"yes night and day. one is in english, one is not."

Re: (Nutaku) Milenium War Aigis (English Version)

You can say whatever thing you like about starting over in dmm, but i already have 11 AW units there, 3 premium blacks and a ton of plats/golds adquire with several methods, all this in less than a year.

Here i have 15 AW units gathering dust, plus other 13 max lvl/skill waiting there moment to be useful not only that due the lack of SC (i'm a freemium since, reasons) i only have 3 premium plats and a few golds. All of this in over a year and a half.

The lack of events is indeed a problem since we don't get the resourses needed to work with, it also slow down the game in general and break the game balance.

Really starting over on dmm is not that hard even now is more easy with the daily revivals, plus there is a back log that can tell you which units are good an which aren't (we use it here but is kind of useless since we don't have anything to use strong unit against).

Question, 3x Tincans + 1 Platinum fairy gives same amount of exp as 1 tincan + 3 platinum fairies?

I think it gives the sae amount, but you are better using 3 fairies + a can since getting the platcans is harder.
